Nothing like the rush of adrenaline after performing on stage... the aforementioned adrenaline which keeps you up for another 5 hours past your bedtime ._.

Bio

Hello! I'm a 20 year old professional ballerina and aspiring writer. I will be attending college next fall, for a musical theatre degree, and I want to explore myself as a writer while I still have a lot of free time to write. I have been RPing since I was 13, when I started with a Harry Potter story, and I've been writing fanfiction and original work since not long after that. I consider myself to be a high casual/advanced RPer... once I start writing, it's hard for me to stop! I had an account on here many eons ago, but I lost it and decided to start anew. My fandoms include HP, Supernatural, Sherlock, Doctor Who, Firefly, Merlin, Chronicles of Narnia, LOTR, SAO, Fruits Basket, Ouran High School Host Club, Pokemon, Marvel, DC, and countless others. I also am highly interested in anything that involves medieval time periods, magical creatures and fairies, or time travel.

Elia raised her eyebrows. At the very least, he seemed to know a fair amount about VMMORPGs, even if he didn't have any experience with this one. Elia waited patiently while Rhys flipped through his menu, picking through the inventory to see what it held.

"Guns?" Elia repeated, referring to his last question. She racked her brains, trying to remember the last time she'd been to this weapons shop. "I can't say that I've ever seen any guns there. I think those might only be available in a few of the farther off towns. They're harder to get to if you're not a high level." She glanced over, appraising him with a glance. Not many people she'd played with had mastered the Dual Wielding skills if they selected it; and she hadn't even realized that having a pistol as one of your dual weapons was a possibility. Elia supposed she hadn't read too much about the fifth anniversary patch, and was now definitely regretting it. But then, she hadn't expected to get stuck in the game without being able to find time to brush up on new game info, so it wasn't exactly her fault.

"Guess you'll just have to make do with what you have for now," Elia told him. "Come on, let's head this way." She gestured away from the crowds and towards the road, which threaded through a field and headed into a deep forest that was a little farther than it looked. "The town's on the other side of the forest."
Lyn felt a chill race through her skin as her pulse quickened. The prince's closeness unnerved her so much that her hand jerked slightly, and the horse took a sidestep before Lyn realized her mistake and straightened it out.

"I suppose it would be beneficial for you to give me information regarding the... intricacies... of romantic relationships," Lyn articulated hesitantly. "I don't suppose you have any books on it, do you? No matter. I can hear you just fine from up here, if there's something you wish to inform me about," Lyn told him, trying to encourage him to sit back. Her mind went blank when he was so near to her- his breath hot against her ear; strands of hair tickling her cheek. It was more unnerving than any combative match she'd ever experienced.
Great. A noob. Elia squinted at Rhys for a moment, sizing him up. The last thing she needed was a green player following her around and getting in her way while she tried to beat the game and get back to the real world. However, there was strength in numbers... Maybe she could help him level up. It was a good sign already that he was more level-headed than most of the surrounding players, who were either stampeding in panic or staring at each other in a daze.

"Hm. I guess we could try it out," Elia said hesitantly. "But we've got to get you some good equipment. You won't make it halfway past a pack of wolves with what you've got. There's a decent armor and weaponry shop the next town over," she said. Her game knowledge from the days when she used to play all the time was rushing back into her head. "Please tell me you've at least played a VMMORPG before. That'd help us move things a lot faster."
Lyn was again taken aback by the Prince's boldness. She supposed he had never had to be discreet about anything; but it would take a while to get used to the way he interacted with her.

"A-air of boldness? I prefer to think of it as a knight's confidence. One must be sure of oneself in order to be worthy of carrying a shield to protect others," Lyn recited, partially paraphrasing one of the guidelines that had been drilled into her at the Academy. "I confess, I'm not at all experienced with what you call, er, "playful romance"..." or any kind of romance, for that matter, she added silently. "But also, I'm not quite sure as to what you're proposing," she added. "It was my understanding that we were to play as characters while around others, in order to maintain our disguise. Is that not still the case?" She flushed slightly. Lyn did have an inkling about what the Prince was suggesting in that silky tone of his, but she couldn't possibly be right. What did Aidan possibly see in her that was womanly or feminine?
@Nightfury Kat I feel like I shouldn't post again until my post gets a response from @HushedWhispers... But I'm still present and accounted for!
Lyn practically jumped two feet into the air as she scooted away from the Prince's grasp upon her rear.

"I-I am sorry, my Lord," she stammered. "Upon my honor, I will do a better job of keeping up this masquerade. Forgive me for not being able to immediately get into character." Lyn hurriedly finished up with the wagon and waited for Aidan to climb into the back. Then, she clicked her tongue to the horse, and they were on their way once more.

Lyn's cheeks felt hot and her hands felt cold. Perhaps she was falling ill?

They had taken longer with their meal than Lyn had hoped to. The sun would be going down in only a few hours, and she still had the feeling that something or someone was lurking around them in the forest. They would likely have to camp in the midst of a clearing, come nightfall.

Lyn thought back to the numerous times Aidan had laid a hand on her. Each time had filled her with fear, uncertainty, a bit of disgust, and also a bit of excitement. She honestly couldn't tell if Aidan was simply trying to become his character Erik, or if he had decided that he could have anything he wanted, like the privileged prat she'd originally suspected him to be. Well, if that was the case, she wouldn't make it quite so easy for him. She had no obligation to keep up the pretense of their being a couple when there was no one else around, so she wasn't going to. In fact, it would probably be best for her to stay far away from him whenever it wasn't absolutely necessary to be near.
Elia sprang to her feet, regarding the guy who had barreled into her with a wary expression. "I'm fine," she said curtly. "Watch where you're going, okay? You could have seriously depleted my HP." Reluctantly, Elia held out a hand and helped him to his feet.

"I'm guessing you realized what the virus means, and you were heading to the citadel for some answers," Elia deduced. "Just warning you, it's pretty crowded in there, and the mass panic is starting to settle in. Honestly, it's probably not the safest place to be right now."

She watched his face for his reaction. He had chin-length dark hair, a shadow of scruff, and startlingly blue eyes. If she wasn't so preoccupied with the possibility of being stuck in this virtual reality forever, she might have thought he was pretty attractive.

"I'm Elia, by the way," she said, by way of introduction. "And I'm going to find a way out of here."
@Potter Still here! For my next post I am waiting for @HushedWhispers :)
Valencia Tempest
The Quick-witted Pirate with a Gentle Heart

Valencia watched as the bead dissipated before her eyes and blew away in a waft of ash. Cináed's eyes met hers, and Valencia was suddenly very aware of how little space there was between them. Why did she feel so flustered all of a sudden? She folded her arms, ignoring how cold her hands were. Valencia's hands always got cold when she was nervous or uncomfortable, but she'd gotten fairly good at hiding it by folding her arms and sometimes adding a scowl.

"That's not supposed to happen."

Now that Cináed was looking at Robyn and Caleb rather than straight at her, Valencia let out the breath she hadn't realized she'd been holding and studied the fire-manipulator. This was the first time she'd seen him from such a close distance.

Valencia had to suppress a laugh. Cináed's hair was, well... fluffy. She supposed that was a valid side effect from drying yourself with magical flames. Valencia also couldn't help noticing how tall he was, and-were his ears pointy? It was hard to tell beneath that frizzy dark mane. If they were, it wouldn't particularly surprise her, after everything else that had happened here.

"What's supposed to happen, then?" Valencia questioned, referencing the bead Cináed had touched. "And, for that matter... Are you going to help get us out of this pit and to the village, or did you just fancy the idea of going and getting yourself stuck down here with us?" Valencia raised her eyebrows expectantly.

Sienna watched bemusedly as Callum chowed down on Yorkshire puddings and grudgingly offered the platter to the pleading first year kids. She shook her head when he held one out to her; she was fine with what she was working on eating.

"My summer was... fine," she said vaguely. "I moved out. For good. And yeah, I got a few new piercings." Sienna smiled at the young girls who didn't seem quite so scared of her anymore now that they had Yorkshire puddings on their plates. "Things look like they're going well with Demi," she observed. Sienna and Cal finished up the rest of their meal, chatting amicably all the while.

Sienna walked down the halls alone, passing gaggles of girls who were giggling about who would be taking them to the ball this year. Sienna personally hadn't given much thought to it- it wasn't exactly the first priority on her mind. She'd make herself go, though- with or without a date. It would be good for her.

She waved at Callum after passing him in the hall, and headed into her first class: Charms with Professor Sims. It was her first class of the day, and today Ravenclaw and Slytherin seventh years had this class together. Sienna took a seat diagonally in front of a Slytherin boy whose name was something like Sebastian or Simon. He was leaning against the back wall with his feet propped on the desk in front of him, looking like this was the last place on Earth he wanted to be. Sienna actually liked Charms class, though. She rummaged in her bag and got out her copy of The Standard Book of Spells Grade 7; flipping through it until she reached the charm they would be working on today.
