@Xeron Okay so i'm thinking it correctly. But yes the two boys will eventually be the best of friends
Ryker vs. Chronus, battle of the brains, who will win?

clearly Chronus because Ryker isn't book smart.

also, senpai, how do you pronounce Chronus because I kind of say it in my head like Crow-n-us
Ryker scoffed as he listened to the tangent from the kid named Chronus. He couldn't help but eye him up and down with a slight glare as he went off the women. He sounded like one of the sons for a family he worked for briefly. It didn't matter much money their parents just willing handed over, they wanted more. Ryker had known first hand the children were buying drugs, he usually participated in the recreational activity with them, and if it wasn't for the line of cocaine his bosses had walked in on him doing he'd probably still have a job with them. It made Ryker physically sick to know that this guy felt entitled. His music held more value then the very house they stood inside? He found it difficult to believe.

He walked over to Chronus and stared daggers into the boys eyes. "Obviously they know you care a great deal about that garbage. Missing music. That's what your self righteous heart desired? I guess when everything is handed to you by mommy and daddy nothing else really matters. You don't need to stay here if you'd rather sit on your ass and continue living the life you were handed. You're dressed head to toe in what I can only assume is some kind of designer brand, while the rest of us look like we've been starved out or digging clothes from the waste bins. You said it yourself, you don't need the money so just leave," he paused and snatched the papers from his hands looking it over, "Moonlit Ball. You're seeping with entitled arrogance. Are these supposed to be your story? The fantastic life of Mr. Woe Is Me."

Ryker let the papers fall to the floor as he glanced around the room. He hadn't meant to cause the scene, but it was too late now. He looked at his feet embarrassed by his own actions. He was usually less confrontational but for some reason Chronus pushed his buttons. It wasn't intentionally, but it happened either way. He was mentally kicking himself for possibly getting himself kicked out of the job before it'd even started. The money was something he needed especially if ever planed to find out who his father really was. He looked back up to Chronus opening his mouth to apologize, but failing to find the words. He'd done it once again and lived up to the reputation people always gave him.

"I was out of line," he turned to face Nina now, trying to avoid the eyes of everybody else, "I hope this doesn't effect my spot here. Unlike Chronus over here, I actually need whatever money you can offer."
The start of this reminds me of that movie Would You Rather on netflix. Each person chosen for their skills though rather than because their family is having health issues. and instead of playing would you rather and possibly dying its "go on this quest and maybe don't die"
*steals @Grey's crush.* mine.

@ScreenAcne I'm not one to discuss politics with someone unless it can be a mature discussion, and by mature I mean no name calling or belittling. I'm not going to just turn someone down just because they're a different political party than me. I just ask that they respect my political views because I'll do the same. I'm all for debates as long as it's not demeaning.
Ezra buttoned up his jeans quietly so he could listen to his mother and father in the living room. He'd decided on a pair of simple blue jeans in case he needed to run anywhere for dinner after his parents left. They were going on a small vacation to visit family that was getting married and Ezra was in charge of the shop after school hours. It would be a tough week, but he'd managed to save enough money to treat himself a couple times to something other than bakery food. He hadn't heard the door close and when he turned around his mouth dropped.

He wasn't sure what he'd expected from the body of a women, but to see it right in front of him was surprising in itself. He quickly put a hand over his eyes and the swastika scar turning himself back around. Since his accident he was too ashamed to let anyone see him shirtless. His father was the only person he trusted enough to look pass his wounds. His mom hadn't even see the scars so for him to expose himself that way made him more than uncomfortable.

"I...I thought you had...I didn't realize. I...I'll keep myself turned...you...you get dressed and I won't look," he said trying to find the words. "I thought she would bring you the clothes..."
Senpai with his good ideas.

i'll start to bold my text for easier reads and if the color is bad for your eyes let me know and i'll change it.
Ezra put the cookies onto a plate and took her arm to lead her out the back door. "Let's get cleaned up first and then we'll try them. They need to cool down or you won't be able to enjoy them," he said sternly as he led up the steps. He motioned for her to be a little quiet since now was around the time his parents took small naps. He placed the cookies on the counter in the kitchen and led her to the bathroom. "By the time you get showered my parents will have woken and my mother will put a fresh dress in here for you."

He passed her the towel she had used yesterday and closed the door. He went back to the living room and and began to boil water for himself. Ezra usually refused to bathe in the bath tub unless his parents were away for the weekend. It only held so much hot water and he preferred his parents to use it. He brought the bucket from his parents bedroom and hid it behind the wall separating the kitchen from the small dining area and began to clean himself off. He figured by the time Marta finished he'd already be dressed and done. Girls tended to take longer in the bathroom.

He was in the process of cleaning himself when he heard some shuffling feet and looked up to his mother and father staring at him a bit confused. "Marta is in the bathroom. I hope you don't mind. I told her you'd lay out some clothes for her," he said sheepishly.

"Ezra, you were attacked earlier! I have no doubts it was because of this girl. The neighbors saw you too kissing yesterday! You can't be doing that Ezra! You are promised to another girl!" His mother was doing her best to keep her voice low. She gave a dramatic sigh and went to the bedroom to lay out clothes.

"Pa! You told her I was attacked?!" Ezra said folding his arms across his chest annoyed.

His father was next to speak, "I know you told me you you did it to yourself, but I know you son. You would not have lost that necklace by yourself," he said with a roll of the eyes, "you watch yourself with that girl, Ezra. Christian girls like her can cost you your life son. I don't want you dying before me."

Ezra frowned a little as he sat in the water a little upset. He'd always been careful with his actions, never acted out once, but the one time he went out of line his parents seemed to be on his case. He finished bathing himself and then grabbed the towel he had hanging on the chair. He'd finish getting dressed in the bedroom.
Vada turned to walk upstairs hesitating a little as she glanced over her shoulder at Miki. Guilt started to fill her mind knowing full well it should be here out there getting yelled at, not Miki. As she climbed the steps she noticed people moving aside and glaring at her. It was no doubt they knew she was a King. She could hear the whispers began as they mentioned her brother Clement. He had lived up to the meaning of his name as gentle and merciful and was considered one of the best bachelors in their species. Girls constantly swooned over him. He had the looks of a prince and his personality was more charming that should ever be allowed. His voice was calm and inviting. Him and Vada looked almost like they could be twins except his hair was darker than hers.

"That's her. I can't believe she actually came here," a voice whispered.

"I hear she's the reason Clement died. She was trying to befriend a human he turned out to be a hunter," another voice.

She felt a sharp pain in her stomach as she realized people tended to get in trouble whenever she was around. Clement had died doing what big brothers do best, protecting their younger sibling, and now Miki was getting in trouble because of her. She looked around at the students to see if she could find a familiar face, a friendly face, but the only person she'd really known before coming here was Hanabusa Aido. Her parents had made the attempt to set the two of them up, but his family was too prestigious. He'd graciously agreed to at least have a sit down with her. Since both of them held the power of ice she'd had fun trying to out do one another.

"Aido," she whispered and gave him a small nod.

Hanabusa hesitated a moment before shutting his eyes, "King, I hardly expected your parents to be okay with this school. Your tendency to give benefit of the doubt towards all humans could be the down fall of yet another one of us," he said harshly.

She flinched at his words before rushing pass the remaining people and going to her room. She heard footsteps chase after her and as she got to her door a hand touched her shoulder. She opened her bedroom door and Aido followed her in.

"I'm sorry, Vada. I have to keep some level of class in front of the rest of them. I can't be seen talking to you, not now. Not after his death," Hanabusa said quietly.

She shrugged a bit before turning around to face him. It had been her brother who convinced Hanabusa to give her a chance. It was right before he died that they sealed the agreement. The two of them had been rather close friends so it was only natural for Clement to want his sister and Hanabusa to be joined together. "You don't need to pretend. I know you suffered a loss that day. I was stupid, but I've learned my lesson. I told you that months ago. I promised you then on his name that I would be less trusting and I have kept my promise," she said letting a smile show on her face.

Hanabusa nodded and turned to leave. His hand reached for the door, but before he left he looked back at her. "If he hadn't died that day I would have agreed the arrangement your parents wanted. I would have taken you, but looking at you reminds me too much of the friend I've lost," he said and made a quick departure.

Vada felt like someone had knocked the air out of her lungs when he told her that. She had assumed he'd rejected her because of her standing, not because of her appearance. She touched her face gently and noticed her hands shaking. The blankets she was sitting on became solid like a rock. She clearly hadn't learned to control her power yet, not in the way Aido would have taught her.
"You certainly have never been inside a kitchen before," Ezra said with a little sigh as he grabbed a towel out of one of the shelves and tried his best to dust her off. "You're like a child, you know that? Watching you is like watching a baby take their first steps. Clumsy at first, then they get the hang of it, and then they fall down," he gave her a small smile as he got most of the flour off her head. He was half tempted to take over the rest of the baking, but then she'd never learn so he held back.

He was glad his dad had gone upstairs, if he would have seen the mess they'd made he'd probably have a fit. His father was a clean baker, never leaving a trace behind. It was like as he cooked he cleaned. There never seemed to be flour on the tables or dishes in the sink when his dad was in charge. While Ezra was more messy when he made things. You could tell he'd been in the kitchen because he never cleaned up after himself. Things tended to just sit over night until his mom or dad came down to fix everything up before starting the morning pastries.

"You can do it though. I have complete faith in your ability to make these cookies all on your own. Just....try to use a little less flour and try not to get it in your eyes. Trust me...it burns," Ezra said as he put the towel down and looked her over. She was a complete wreck and the kitchen looked like it had just snowed. He dusted some of the flour onto the floor and then grabbed a broom from the closet. He started to sweep up the mess making sure to keep a close on eye on her as she finished the last bit of preping before the cookies were to meet the oven.
