Bio

Alright Soooo here it is,
I'm an old man (post 30's) who has been at the RP game since I was in Middle School. Happily Married and a huge Nerd. My main interests for RP's and such are Medieval Realistic Fantasy, As in no one person wielding a massive 200 lb weapon in one hand or going way over the top with crazy 25 hit combos in the air. I like things to play out as they would normally of course with magic, magic is always fun. I also like Futuristic Space (Star Wars, Mass Effect, and almost anything involving some sort of Mech). I work a crap ton and cant really get into a real post every day but I do try. If you think you got something I might like hit me up.

@RBYDark the module has openings for level 1 or level 3 characters so depending on our players we can do either. As for light/dark I'll leave that up to the group, it's a very open ended campaign with the ability to fill in a lot of different character types. But again this will be a group decision as I don't want a lawful good pally vs the chaotic evil wizard of the group. Every character will have a reason to be in Drakkenheim and their personal goals may not align but I don't want constant fighting between the group over a good vs evil character.
DRAKKENHEIM IS NO MORE. An eldritch storm
of falling stars devastated the city on that woeful eve,
leaving behind a meteorite that would have lasting
effects. Fifteen years later, Drakkenheim is a dismal
urban wasteland contaminated by otherworldly magic and
haunted by hideous monsters. Fantastic wealth, lost knowledge,
and powerful artifacts lie ready for the taking by adventurers
brave or foolish enough to venture into the ruins. However, even
those who survive the dangers of Drakkenheim may not return
unmarked by its terrors!

The Dungeons of Drakkenheim is a 5e module set in the city of Drakkenheim. It is a dark fantasy setting with a bit of horror character survival isn't guaranteed given the monsters you will face along with a new contamination mechanic that can leave your character mutated for better or worse. If this sounds interesting I'd like to give it a play through.
Yukihira "Silver Wolf" Ogami

Race: Beastman (Wolf Demi-Human)

Gender: Male

Age: 37

Appearance:
Ogami is a 170cm tall wolf-like Demi-Human, He has bright orange eyes and silver and black hair is usually tied behind him in a man bun. Much of his athletic body is scared from his years of fighting and battle. But he carries himself well almost with fully proper posture and has somewhat of a regal aura about him.

Bio: Me? No I am not originally from the Grand Empire, in fact I was born, raised, and spent the majority of my life in Dragon's Maw. My family was well off, enough so for that I was able to receive a proper education. And more so than only book smarts as well. I was taught to be a warrior, and a damned good one at that. Good enough to catch the eye of Warlord Yukihira , yes that Warlord Yukihira. I was with him before his war, he was a good man back then.

As the war broke out I stood by his side, although I knew stories of the Dragon Emperor's wrath so I sent away my family early on. This gave me the piece of mind that they wouldn't get caught up in the mess of the war. It was a long war and kept me away from my family for quite some time. But as the end came to a close Warlord Yukihira released me from his service and told me to venture to the Grand Empire to reunite with my family. He was killed not long after I left.

Since then I have been here searching for my family, took on a job as a merc for a while, they pay was passable, but to many contracts went sour for my taste. Leaving that behind I joined the adventurer's guild about 6 months ago, wasn't to hard to work my way up to Copper. Still looking for any clue to where my family may be.

Personality quirks:
I have a strong code of honor or sense of propriety that others don’t comprehend.
I begin or end my day with small traditional rituals that are unfamiliar to those around me.

Personal Goal:
I hope to one day be reunited with my family

Bonds:
Yukihira Aurora/ Yukihira Nikita - Ogami's wife (a Fox-like Demi-Huma and Daughter (a Wolf-like Demi-Human) they have been apart for 7 years and it has been 2 years since he had heard from them.
Mitsuhide - Mitsuhide (Bear-like Demi-Human) is one of Okumi's most trusted retainers entrusted with the care of Ogami's family when they were sent to the Grand Empire
Gaul - A half Dragon Warrior under the Dragon Empire. During the Civil War Ogami and Gaul crossed blades many times but were never able to finish the other off.

Equipment: An ornate suit of Red Dragon Scale mail armor, A Katana passed down his family line for generations, Adventurer's pack, 10 day's worth of rations.

Skills/Abilities:
Favored Foe - I am able to turn my focus to a single opponent increasing my effectivity against them
Blind fighting - After some extreme conditioning I am able to sense what's around me allowing me to fight even when blinded
Peddle Swarm - using a trace amount of wind and earth magic Ogami creates a swarm of cherry blossoms that he can use to augment his attacks in various ways.

Magic:
Zephyr Strike - Tapping into his Wind Magic Ogami can move like the wind avoiding attacks and speeding up his own blade almost ensuring to connect with his blow
Goodberry - drinking deep from nature's bounty Ogami is able to bless a handful of berries. Making even a single berry nutritious enough to sustain a person for a day
Cure Wounds - Pulling from Nature's bounty Ogami can heal minor wounds

Other:
Since coming to the Grand Empire Ogami has gone by "Silver Wolf" in an attempt to hide his own identity from any assassins the Dragon Emperor might send to eliminate the Yukihira blood line for good.

Village of Salisrane

Salisrane is a nondescript fishing village tucked away on the south eastern coast of the Grand Empire. Due to it's remote location far from the capital Salisrane was always somewhat of a backwater.

The crown’s benign neglect allowed piracy and banditry to flourish. Salisrane and similar towns kept to fishing, content to maintain a low profile and avoid governmental entanglements. Decades ago, the pirates who prowled the waters off Salisrane grew strong enough to create their own realm, a loose confederacy known as the Hold of the Sea Princes. With the rise of that nation came increased raids on Salisrane and its neighbors. The Sea Princes’ raiding ships pillaged the coast for more slaves to support their growing realm, and Salisrane suffered heavily. The memories of those times loom heavily over the area, and the locals’ hatred of the Sea Princes runs deep.

In time the local lords took notice to the unchecked banditry and a rising pirate nation and looked to the crown for an answer. The answer came quick as the Emperor quickly raised a navy, and dealt a sharp check to the ambitions of the Sea Princes — but the conflict is by no means over.

Emperor Lionheart has decreed that the pirates must be put down, the sea lanes secured, and trade cultivated in order to strengthen the Empire.

Salisrane, remote though it might be from the center of power in The Empire, is entering a new phase of its life as it reacts to the emperor’s plans. The crown’s agents want to expand the village’s port and make it a prime location for trade with the world beyond. In another recent development, a band of dwarves — bearing a decree from the emperor himself — have arrived and begun to excavate the hills and seaside cliffs near town, looking for precious metals. If their work bears fruit as expected, the mine stands to become a major factor in the village’s — and, indeed, the entire region’s — prosperity.

The Guild

Players will be new members of The Empire's Adventurer's Guild in Salisrane. tasked to handle issues that the local guard and militia are unable to deal with or outside their jurisdiction. The guild serves as a focal point in the region for adventurers to receive jobs and return for pay. Contracts are first come first served and each team of adventures can only take one contract at a time. So pick your jobs wisely as they are likely to change before your party is able to return.

Adventure Rankings

within the guild adventurers have a rank that represents how strong they are, and determine what jobs they can go on. Below will be the list of ranks and a comparison to a corresponding DND character level to try and make this make more sense.

Pericline - Levels 1-2
Copper - Levels 3-4
Bronze - Levels 5-8
Silver - Levels 9-12
Gold - Levels 13-15
Platinum - 15+

At the start of the Adventure all members will either be of Pericline or Copper ranking within the Guild

As Ristoth breathed his final breath he smiled knowing his last great gift to the world

Exert from the Divine Tales of Ristoth

Humans and Creatures use magic by tapping into their Soul Stones. While some creatures have the natural ability to tap into their own Soul Stones to produce magical effects. The Humanoid Races must make use of ancient relics in order to tap into their Soul Stones. The use of these Relics allows a Mage to tap into the Base element (I'll get to this) of magic that their Soul Stone is attuned to. Relics must be properly engraved into an item to allow for the casting of magic (more will follow). But in order to properly control Magic one must strengthen one's Soul Stone increasing their magical power as well as study and learn all they can about the magics of their element. But a Soul Stone only has a finite amount of energy and can be overloaded by magical power causing a backlash on the user if they try use a spell that requires more energy than their Soul Stone can produce. But this Soul Stone Power or "Mana" will replenish over time or after consuming special potions.

-=Combat Rules=-

Combat will be separated into two parts Free Form and "Boss Battle" each having their own rules.

Free Form - A simple form of combat, The GM (in case it’s a side arc I don't control) will send out a mass of enemies each player will then have a go at taking them out. This section will be all on the participants and I will allow you to control both your character and the NPC enemies. You will be allowed to kill at will, but please remember you are not alone, if there are 10 enemies and 5 players, I don't want one person claiming 5 of the enemies. Colab posts are acceptable in this phase of combat, but please don't have the group waiting two weeks for one Colab post.

Boss Battle - The more advanced combat that will play out post to post. Boss battles will mainly be group fights or will be in place if a Player vs Player fight. It will be more turn based as in one player states its action then the next will post his reaction and counter/follow-up to the previous actions. During this type of combat there will be no auto hits or auto kills.

-=Character Sheets=-

Character Sheets are to be placed in the OOC until they are accepted then moved to the Characters Page.

Leonidas had continued to play his part with the festivities. Although he was careful and made sure not to drink much at all and kept his wits about him. That was until a serving girl brought him a plate of food. "My Lord, Sir Acrius asked me to bring this over to you. He says its the best thing he has had all night." she said to Leonidas with a smile setting the plate down before him and curtseying before taking her leave and disappearing back into the crowd moving to serve other guests. Leonidas gave a quick look around to see if he could see Acrius but couldn't make him out among the crowd. But that was fine the lad was probably doing his own sample tour and would meet back up with the prince later on. And with things going as they were Leonidas was awfully hungry and decided to chow down into the food that Acrius had so generously picked out for him.
-=Somewhere inside the walls of Bergkoff=-

A group of 9 hooded individuals gather on an empty side street. "Alright everyone has there targets correct?" One of the individuals said to the group and a second spoke up. "Why are we helping orcs? What is the master thinking." A second spoke up and was quickly hushed. "Don't question the master's wishes just do your job." The first snapped back. "Alright if no one has any real question then move out." A third spoke up. And the group quickly broke up into four groups. Two groups of two took to the roofs heading to their targets while the remaining 5 individuals broke into a group of 2 and a group of 3 each moving in different direction through the city.
Leonidas stayed on the battlements directing the men until the goblin forces were out of range. It was only after their retreat that Leonidas would let himself rest a little. He took a little time to check his wound from earlier making sure he didn't end up opening it again since his bit of patch up healing. "I should of really payed more attention when they were teaching us those healing magics instead of just how to use magic to hurt others more..." he thought to himself as Acrius came up to him with a woman whom Leonidas had never seen before. Although she was introduced as a Cleric she moved with an air of nobility which in itself was a bit of an oddity many born into a noble house wouldn't adopt the practices of a Cleric willingly. Even the way she greeted the prince was reminiscent of the way many nobles had in the past so he assumed she must have some noble blood and greeted her in kind, "The Honor was mine Lady Drana, due to your help our young Acrius was able to quickly fell that troll." He said to her with a grin complimenting her help, although he knew full well Acrius could of used his own magic to light the arrow he wasn't going to bring it up now especially seeing the shape she was in currently. After mentioning her knights that were lost in the sewers Leonidas gave his dismissal letting the cleric go on her way and even offered Acrius as a guard to her until she found her knights if she wanted or needed. After that Leonidas would return to the war room with Zatana following behind. "I don't know if I'm ready for the chew out from Balthazar about getting injured, even if it is just a little scratch... You want to talk to him first?" He said to Zatana in a joking matter as they walked back to the Keep.

As the day went on there were more waves of attacks, nothing nearly on the scale of the morning's attack and after giving the members of the Royal guard an adequate amount to rest they were cycled to the points of battle to help keep the balance in the defender's favor. All in all by the end of the day men were tired and worn out moral was good because of the victories but wavering as it seemed these orc and goblins had unending numbers. The fear and unease was what plagued Leonidas and Balthazar the most so the two decided to work out a deal with the Duke. It wasn't long until what was normally the trade square was abuzz with life, Leonidas and Balthazar were able to convince the Duke to roll out the fine wine and ale he had been storing in the keep and open it up as a means to thank and celebrate with the men. The commotion had also brought out some of the food merchants and even common folk and amidst this siege there was a celebration within the city.

Leonidas sat at a table among the guards with an ale in his hand. Although he wasn't in his full battle regalia he still wore a light suit of armor as "you could never be to careful" or so Balthazar had told him while Leonidas' arm was being patched up. But he drank with his men on this night not above them as their prince but with them as a warrior. The square itself had been quickly decorated and aside from the impromptu bar that had been set up multiple food stands had also made their way around the square providing food and drink to any who wanted to partake. Naysein had found herself a few competent musicians and was using her talents to provide song for the party singing tales of heroism and bravery lightening the mood.
