Yeah. That makes sense.

That's where I think the secret lies. Which brings us back to our conversation on death. What better example of something so final, so absolute, that some consider justice and others consider evil?
<Snipped quote by Artifact>

That sounds pretty impossible.

Let's say both happened on a small scale. Justice of any size is still justice, right? And evil on a small scale has limited impact.
<Snipped quote by Artifact>

Uh...you lost me.

In other words, most people think they're justice and the other side is evil. So we would have to find some way to treat both justice and evil the same and still find a good outcome.

Many people aren't going to be.

*Shrugs*
Doesn't sound like you're a fan.

On that note, I think there are some ways we can get past these disagreements. If the impact of an evil is limited, then what is there left to oppose? And if the one who does justice is limited, is that not still justice carried out?

Please don't call killing the ultimate crime...it can be necessary sometimes.

Like when?
<Snipped quote by Artifact>

I'm interested...once you find said ideals, of course.

The question I'm wrestling with right now is: How do you punish someone who inflicts death, the ultimate crime, without creating a new murderer?
<Snipped quote by Artifact>

That sounds...cool? I don't know how to react to that. You said it best. Naive.

I'm not so naive as to think that people will suddenly rally behind a cause they believe in. But I do think we can all agree on a set of standards that violate no moral codes. And those can allow us to escape the strong-beat-weak loop.
<Snipped quote by Webmaster>

Good. You should be.

Ah, well, on subject, I'm looking for a way to use our mutual agreements to unify us behind one cause. And maybe it sounds naive, but I truly believe it can be done.
<Snipped quote by Artifact>

No. I'm more worried about being judged for it being destroyed. then I'll need to drop some more bodies. And I'm getting sick of that.

You seem perhaps over-acquainted with death. The deaths of others.
<Snipped quote by Artifact>

Hm...I guess I could try. But I mostly feel bad for destroying my home. I feel bad for the sentiment. Don't know if you understand. Most don't.

Was your home a meaningful place to you?
