From a PM RP with Arena Snow Aleksandra sighed with relief. The prince- Rufus, that is- seemed not to see through her awful smile, and seemed mostly uninterested in her- a theme she hoped would continue on throughout their marriage. She was also comforted by the fact that he didn’t have a ridiculously long name like hers. “A pleasure to make your acquaintance. I hope that we will get to know each other better in the years to come.” Years to come. Ugh. That sounded so final, so constricting- a bit like her dress. She kept the horrid false smile on her face, even though her cheeks were beginning to ache.
Aleksandra stared at the food longingly, wishing she were allowed to eat faster. The roast beef on her plate was taunting her, daring her to eat it. She ate at a ‘ladylike’ pace, which was all about making people think that you weren’t eating anything at all, and were, in fact, a sick that had managed to grow curves.
They talked a bit longer about politics that seemed to bore both young royals, things such as how young King Henry was doing, and how charming Princess Killigra was, until Aleksandra’s mother noticed that Rufus was looking at the food strangely. “Is everything to your liking, Prince Rufus,” she asked. “If there is anything you don’t like, we’ll send something else up, straightaway.” Aleksandra winced a bit, but quickly put her porcelain smile back on. “Yes, Prince, is everything alright,” the younger female asked, efficiently catching onto the ‘Butter the Prince up’ train.
Aleksandra recognized that while her mother was trying to be welcoming to her son-in-law-to-be, Aleksandra was being rather cold. “If you are finished, I could show you your chambers for the night.” Without further invitation, she rose, dusted off her dress, and gestured for Rufus to follow her up the stairs. Her green eyes glinted in the chandelier light, and for a moment, Aleksandra was blind. Then the moment passed, and with a turn of her auburn hair, she was off.
When Aleksandra arrived at the guest room, she turned away from Rufus briefly to rub her sore and aching cheeks. By the time he caught up to her, she had turned back around and was smiling again. “This is your room. If you’d like, I’ll leave you to get settled. The servants should have your trunks up here shortly. If you would like to write a letter to the battlefront, there’s paper, pens, and ink on the desk. You have your own private bathroom. If anything is not to your liking, tell us, and we’ll find you another room for tonight. If you need anything, tell me. My room is that one, across the hall.” She jerked her head towards the pale blue double doors that lead to her room, thankful that she always closed them behind her, since what the prince would have seen was definitely not ladylike.
Behind the closed doors of her room lay countless inventions, drawings, plans, schemes, and all manner of planning. There had been a time when Aleksandra had an entire room to use for her inventions, but her mother had declared that if this hobby of hers were to continue, it would continue where nobody could accidentally run across it. Now, the girl’s room was the only place that she could truly be herself, and do all manner of ‘unladylike’ activities. Things ranging from sword practice to inventing to writing anything other than love poems went on behind closed doors in the dead of night, always hidden away the instant morning light hit them. Today had been a rare exception to this rule. The princess had been allowed to work far past sunrise, and had subsequently forgotten to put some of it away. Alright, if she was being honest- most of it was still out in the open.
“Anyway, I’ll leave you to get settled.”
From a PM RP with Fetzen Thud. Thud. Lilliana heard her guards fall to the ground. Shit, was the princess’s only thought before she was scooped up by the large stone being. She tapped on his hard exterior. “Excuse me, but why am I being kidnapped,” she asked him as politely as possible. Lilliana had, after all, been raised a princess, and was taught to be polite to strangers. She had a vague plan for escape, but really, it wasn’t much of a plan at all. As they ran into the woods, she wondered exactly how the large entity had gotten to the castle, but the answer soon became evident as they jumped onto the back of a horse whose saddle was almost broken as the being got on and placed her in front of him. “What’s your name,” Lilliana asked. “You probably already know mine,” she added as an afterthought. “Oh. And by the way, you do know that you just kidnapped a princess, right? There will be search parties,” Lilliana said, but quickly shut up when she saw the look on the male’s face.
They rode for almost an hour when they reached another tree with a horse on it. Their horse was already beginning to tire, and as they got off, Lilliana could see it shaking with exhaustion. She sighed with discomfort: the being was, as she had strongly suspected, made of rock, and she suspected that she would have bruises in the morning from where she had bumped up against his solid chest. They rode for another hour in uncomfortable silence, before stopping at another tree. This whole process occurred once more before they arrived at a cave in the side of a cliff.
From Let me Heal You with Chronos Hybrid in the 1x1 section. "Of course," Jas says, sitting up from her curled position on the floor. "Why wouldn't I be?"
Over the last two minutes she'd had before the man showed up, they'd explained Jas's job to her. "Take care of him," they'd said. "And his weapons." Now one of them jerked his chin at her. "Get to it, urchin," they said, spitting at her feet.
Jas pulls out her pitiful bag of healing supplies they'd granted her. She begins to scan his body for injuries. "This'll sting a bit," Jas says, reaching out to put the cream she has on his arm, painfully aware of her accent. Jeezus, she thinks. I sound like a heretic. It's a sword wound, probably gained in some inconsequential sword fight or other, maybe from training. She can see how thin he really is. He legitimately has no fat on him, all muscle and bone. Jas scoots closer to him. "How'd you get that wound?"
@AimeChambers ---- "I need no help," Tijd scoffed at the second-year behind her. "And besides, even if I did need it, why should I ask you?" She stalked off. "That was rather rude," she thought. Tijd had butterflies in her stomach. Her heart was beating super fast. Taking deep breaths, Tijd slowly rose to her full hight. She had been slouching a bit. Summoning a little water, she fixed her hair, which had gotten a little frizzy. She ran inside and found her room as fast as she could. She lay on her bed, and in a few moments, had passed out from dehydration and nerves.
@AimeChambers ----- Tjid shook her head. A boy who seemed about her age was jangling with nerves. She could tell, because that came with the territory of being a Healer. "Don't fall down any stairs today," she whispered in a voice she was pretty sure he could hear. She kept on walking. Tijd herself was nervous, and she normally loved school. 'Remember,' said a little voice in her head, 'You'll know some from conventions-maybe.' The little voice was not helping her nerves. Because her parents were fairly rich, she never interacted with other children. She had a private tutor instead of a schoolteacher. One of her lessons was public interactions. 'Look down on all. See nothing, but notice all. Hear nothing, but listen to everything. Smile and nod politely. If you must introduce yourself, keep calm. People do not enjoy when you talk too much. Notice, calculate, smile politely, talk. I am the best pupil of my age and status in practically all of England. I will do fine.' This ran through Tijd's head as she noted all the people.
Tijd glanced at her secdule. It looked fairly boring, although the school itself was far from that. She looked up. Two turrets towered above her, wile a moat glistened below. She watched people shimmer into the area. Tijd watched their reactions. Some glanced cooly up, while others glanced arournd nervously. Still others looked panicked. This was going to be a long day.
Backstory: Tijd's parents are not magical. They do not control the Elements. Though her last name means 'magician' , Tijd is ts the first in many generations of her family to actually be a magician. Her parents mostly support her, although they do not appreaciate the fact that Tijd is practically socailly impaired, due to the fact that she spens constantly has her nose in a book, and would rather be reading or studying than parying or hanging out with people.Tijd's parents never spend time with her, so they can't really complain. Her biggest pet peeve is people. Just people.
Appearence: Tijd has wavy blonde hair, and blue eyes that often turn grey when she is mad. She has a slim build, and is a fast runner.Tjid is about 4' 9".
Typical dress:Tjid always wears black. She always wears dresses. Although she controls water, she swims as fast as she runs, and doesn't really care what she is doing, as long as she does it the best.
Favorite weapon(e.g. staff, wand, sword, wits...): Staff, but she also loves telling people how wrong they are. If she does not have a staff at hand, her words work just as well.
Hometown: Dover, England
Non-Elemental talent (e.g. healing, lie detecting...): Healing. Some say that she is a better healer than Water mage.
