Call me: Asuras

I have a long history of GM'ing, perhaps even more than playing. I like art, and I commission a lot. D&D is my life right now.

I... might.
Just make it so Chad was sucked through an interdimensional wormhole and ended up here.
And thus Scipio and Edith have reached the first "boss" of Aurora: Chalyx Steel.

Bikko has not responded or made himself known for quite some time. I'm dropping him.
Anderiel returned and participated briefly, and then disappeared again without notification. I'm dropping her as well.
Herzinth has not input in the collab for a bit, but I talk to him often, so I will warn him before dropping.

This leaves two spots open for the roleplay, and thus I will go about a second round of recruiting here.

Now Recruiting!
2 positions open!
Deadline: Saturday 07/12/2014 at 12:00 PM Pacific Standard Time

Hi there! This is a new interest check to notify players of RpG that 2 spots have been opened up in the roleplay I am GM'ing; Aurora! Aurora has been going for 2 months now, and still has 5 avid and dedicated players participating. Check it out if you are interested.

Just as the roleplay started, the recruitment process here will be by audition. All are free to submit a character to me by PM, but only two candidates will be selected from to join in. I can only manage two extra slots (for a total of 7 characters), and so I must restrict acceptance. It is done by way of audition to ensure roleplayers of sufficient skill participate. It's nothing personal.

The deadline is this Saturday: 07/12/2014 at 12:00 PM Pacific Standard Time. Submissions sent after this period will not be considered. Decisions will be made only after the deadline is up. Below is the character skeleton and some notes.

Creating a character is pretty much the same as in any other roleplay. I only ask of you to create a background that puts your character in a position in the present in which he/she/it is currently on a mission. It could be any sort of mission (‘mission’ is used loosely here). They could be on the hunt for someone with a bounty on their head, or they might be on the run from the authorities! They could be a warrior who is trying to move up in the ranks, or a mage trying to learn in an academy of magic! It can be anything so long as it creates a goal that I can facilitate. Initially all characters will be alone unless they agree with one another to start together.

This does not mean they will always be alone, however (they’ll always be with some NPCs or another, at the very least); if I deem it sensible or a good idea, and the opportunity arises, I will have characters come into contact with one another. Once again, though, this does not cement them together. At any point they can separate again in favor of going down a different path.

With that, use your imagination!

Note: Describe your background, but outside of your CS and in the PM you send me, please summarize exactly what your character’s current goal or situation is. Depending on how I feel about it, I may discuss it with you/ask questions. Silence does not necessarily mean I do not like it.

Notes:
  • You’re free to be any sort of power level you wish, though realize that with great power comes great responsibility. Your actions will have greater impact than if you were less powerful. Also note that I will match difficulty in “opponents” (if any) compared to your power level. You’re never safe.

  • I prefer appearances to be an image. You’re free to describe them as well, or to not use an image, however.

  • Your background is so open-ended that I permit the creation of entire Spheres with their own histories (and really anything else). Anything you don’t describe, however, is surrendered to me; I may further the setting of whatever you create in any way I wish, though do expect me to consult you first. I’m not a douchebag. If it relates to something I have already made, I will let you know if it meshes. Go wild.

  • A wiki has been made with previously-established creations and knowledge listed. I'd advise looking it over to get a scope of what has/hasn't been made.

Remember to send me your sheet by PM and only PM. Do not send it to anyone else, or discuss it with anyone else. Good luck, and I hope to see some new faces!
I'll be on in just a bit. Gotta attend to a few work things beforehand.
Why am I the fastest poster here. This shouldn't be happening.

Hey, at least the creator finally got himself a job from it. Six months on a project he wasn't benefiting from and was actually taking up time he could have used for more productive things pays off by getting hired by Rooster Teeth. Tis only a matter of time before we discover the true extend of his actions.

It's not being made by him though. It's some fan-made project.
Being a beat em' up is exactly the problem you piece of wood.
RWBY is getting a video game, and it's not a fighting game. Maximum disrespect.
Even as his feet lifted from the ground for a brief second, Oroku maintained serenity. His arms remained crossed, lifting up slightly and then touching down again gently. He stepped away from the edge of the ship and stood closer to the middle, rolling his arms. The unshakable warrior gave a sidelong glance at Tarkus and stretched out his arms, cracking his fingers at the very ends.

"Not at the moment. Though, judging from this level of testing, anyone who lands safely is satisfactory for me," Oroku stated. The panels underneath him began to separate from one another, and he stepped aside to remain on just one. "Good luck." Oroku rolled his head around and jetted for the space between the floorboards that had opened up, descending undaunted into the sky. Oroku gazed down upon the either helpless or directed students who had jumped prior. There were some who were undoubtedly doomed, soon to splat upon the ground without nary a whisper. Others, however, seemed much more focused, determined; they had a plan, or they simply thought the academy wasn't so sadistic that they'd drop their students out of the sky just like that. They too, were to die soon.

Oroku fell in a straight path, head first. He kept his arms at his sides and legs tightened upwards. The Azure son was like a bomb with pinpoint accuracy, unflinching in his targeted descent. He was one of those who knew exactly what to do, and how to do it. This one wouldn't become a bloodstain upon the earth, nor would he find himself injured or shaken up. As far as Oroku was concerned, this was simply an easier way to reach land than waiting for the airship to do the same.

The ground neared blindingly fast, and he did not slow himself. Nary a movement was made until the very end; with a flourish, Oroku extended his arm towards the ground and cast an open hand upon it. Below, a portal of silvery color ripped open as if the dirt was unzipped. A second portal appeared just beside it, though out of Oroku's reach. Coming upon it, Oroku disappeared in a flash and just as soon reappeared, this time hurtling upwards from the ground. As the momentum of falling was transferred into rising, Oroku slowed. At the peak of his flight, Oroku cast another portal below him, once again descending into it.

Oroku fell but a few feet, and then rose again inches above the earth in another portal before removing both. He landed with a soft thud on the dirt, unfazed by what had transpired. No pause was taken; he needed to find a partner. He walked into the trees with the same calmness he displayed aboard the ship, eyes darting amidst the trees for the first non-flattened body he could find.
