Name: Isla Moss-Davies
Age: 28
Sex: Female
Profession: Pilot
Rank: Captain
Personality: Like any pilot, Isla can be brash and confident bordering on blinding arrogance, after all when you know your good it has a tendency to affect how you act; that said, lessons taught to her by her parents at a young age do their best to temper those impulses. “No matter how tough you
think you are, there will always be someone bigger.” Or words to that effect at least…it was many years ago.
Underneath all that bravado though, is an intensely loyal comrade-in-arms and die hard Federation patriot. She believes deeply in what the Federation stands for and is willing to put all she has on the line to defend those ideals.
Skills: Isla is a Top 20 graduate from the Federation’s Walker Flight School, specializing in precision counter-Walker operations. In her (limited) free time she draws, and is quite good despite not getting to practice as much as she’d like; that said she’s made a decent bit of money on the side with various artistic commissions, but it is still very much a hobby to her. Mostly as a defence against questionable quality of most military Mess’, she found herself to be a fairly decent cook.
Weakness: Like any pilot, mech or otherwise, Isla is
very sure of herself and her skills; a fine thing while on the job, but it can be more than a little irritating to pretty much anyone else who isn’t a pilot. She’s also got a rather uncompromising, and narrow, view of the people of the Ark Union.
History: Isla was born in a base hospital, and hasn’t ‘left’ the military since. Both her parents have served in the Federation Military, her mother retiring as a full Colonel in the Infantry, while her father is a serving Brigadier-General in the Judge Advocate General corps. Growing up on bases all over, it was almost a forgone conclusion that she would enlist once she reached the age of majority, what
was surprising was the career path she chose.
Her intention as a child had been to follow in her mother’s boot steps, but that was only until she saw her first vid on the new ‘Arsenal Walkers’ that were slated for service; after that point everything she did was with the goal of becoming a Walker pilot. Other than the usual disruptions of a military family, her early life was average, and upon her eighteenth birthday she enlisted, telling the recruiter her goal was to become a Walker pilot. With a career path locked in, she tore through Basic Training, finishing with top marks in her class, before being moved on rapidly to the Officer Training School; her high marks and the militaries own need for new Walker pilots gave her a direct path to where she wanted to go.
After OTS, where she once again placed in the top of her class, she was sent off to begin pilot training. Once again distinguishing herself, she graduated from the pilot’s academy just after her twenty third birthday. From there, she joined the ‘Second Wave’ of new pilots that were coming in to replace the older ones as they got moved up to senior command and instruction positions. Two years ago she was transferred to an experimental program to test a ‘Sniper’ variant of the FAW-014 in extended real world conditions.

PDWSurvival Knife Aside from her issued ID ‘dog tags’, she wears one of her mother’s for luck and one of her uncle’s as a memorial; he uncle was one of her favourite people as a little girl but sadly he was killed in a training accident about ten years ago.
