What is your direction?
Which path will you take?
What prevents you from moving forward?

What is your reason for living?

Persona: Crossroads

This story will focus on the theme of stasis and what keeps our heroes from reaching their fullest potential. Think about what holds your character back and what makes them struggle to move forward in life. Think about what causes them despair and conversely, what gives them hope.
Our protagonists will be experiencing life after high school. This is a turning point in their lives where they will certainly experience change, unfamiliarity, and estrangement. With the full knowledge their decisions henceforth will influence the path their life may lead, stress, uncertainty and hardship are bound to ensue. Many will adapt to the times and seek companionship on their journey, while others may cling to the familiar. Some may have never truly experienced strengthened bonds and thus view the idea of reaching out now impossible. Will they be able to find others to walk along the same path as they do?

The select few who harbor the potential to grow will be drawn together during these trying times by a series of events that are unique to them. Just as the sun descends over the horizon, these gifted individuals will notice that time ceases to progress. In the dim light of dusk their friends, family, and even strangers remain tethered to a single moment in time. Occasionally, they will see movement; a flicker of blue in their peripheral that beckons them into the sharp edges of the darkness. Should they choose to face uncertainty and walk together, they will obtain the power to have truly known oneself; Persona.

With newfound clarity these heroes bravely set forth into the unknown, lead by unseen force into the murky waters of the underworld.

Okay, I feel like this might be a little in depth for an interest check but? I want to give a good idea of what would be happening here. This roleplay is going to be an original character roleplay based on SMT’s Persona. It’s overarching theme will be centered around Greek Mythology, particularly Styx and the Underworld.

While there will be a nifty skill set system as well as a social link system, I'd rather not use a formal battle system using dice or hit points. Instead, we would be a bit more writing heavy when it comes to battles and lean on the roleplayer’s common sense. Basically, no godmodding, piloting someone else’s character, or being a giant power playing tool, ect. ect. You know, the basics. I’d hope to have it up within the next day or so? I've got most of it written up already but I figured I might as well see if anyone is interested before uh, actually putting it out there. Fool and Scanner will be accounted for from the get go by @Undinebutt and I.

I'm not so worried about character limits? I think after like six players I'll get worried, but uh. Yeah. Not sure if that would happen.

Jazz hands.

I'm 8tracks garbage to be honest. This playlist is pretty good when I want to write.
Thankfully he had started buying his pajamas loose fairly early on. While being caught in polka dot print was certainly embarrassing, Kazuo was more inclined to be indifferent on the matter. After all, it was just a dream wasn’t it?

He walked the shoreline about thirty yards to close the distance and meet the group of people his imagination must have conjured. None of which, interestingly enough were in his class as far as he was aware of. He had seen them around, though. He had specifically avoided making eye contact with the one girl, as he had heard rumors of her being a bit cruel and, he was sure the girl with the prosthetic limb was a first year. Odd choices to pick as friends to take with you on a vacation. But then again, dreams were a bit odd themselves.

“I go to Yakuharai High,” he said, beaming at the underclassman. It was nice to see that he wasn’t the only one in his pajamas. However, shortly after opening his mouth he was cut off by the other girl. Shrinking back he stayed quiet as she chipped in, eyes wide at the colorful suggestions and the not so subtle jab at the first year’s condition. Not having the courage to say much, he simply tried to change the subject back to something a bit more peaceful and relevant.

“It’s a bit weird we’re all having the same dream isn’t it?” he asked, arms folding at his stomach. Maybe it was possible this was a side effect of the machine? Maybe it just made everyone within the dream seem aware as well. That had to be it. Being in the same dream with another person was impossible wasn't it?
Alright! Handed in my CS. Let me know if there's anything I need to fix up. I did my best with proofreading but you know how it is.
