Okay guys, fight or flight time. This was a tricky devil to get done considering my busy day and, I will not be home to do stuff until tomorrow night! It's everyone's game now, so post post post!

Here's some persona summoning guidelines.

- The evoker is a compass.
- The compass will have the face of your character's arcana on the inside face (where North, South, East and West would normally be.) As well as directional arrows.
- The compass can look however you want. Get creative! It is soulbound though, so it should reflect your character's personality! Get symbolic and dig into that psyche if you want.

- Your character has to want to fight to be able to obtain their evoker.
- If your character is unsure of their actions, their persona won't summon. Being afraid is okay, but they have to have faith that they can succeed! It's about the ability to face the uncertain with bravery and not to succumb to hopelessness. Even if it's shaky bravery it still counts!
- When they have mustered their courage to fight, they will feel a weight in their pocket. Think Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. He wanted it, so it appeared to him.
- Your character cannot lose it. It is soulbound, so it will return to them even if dropped. They can however choose to throw it away. If the user ever wishes to have it back though, it will loyally return.

- Evoker attacks can look however you want. Hold it, toss it in the air and catch it, punch it. Go for broke.
- It's directional arrows will spin and land on the target it's attacking. If it's a failed summon it will spin uselessly.

I think that's all my 6am brain has to offer. Okay then lovelies. Night night.

“I- I don’t know if getting hit will hurt them but- either way, if we don’t get out of here now… everyone is going to get hurt!” the little wisp shouted, glancing over his shoulder to address the girl who had started to panic. He hadn’t stopped for a second. Darting like a bullet through metal, he left just as he came, phasing through the train’s walls to get to the control center in time. And indeed, within a few moments the pull of gravity began to shift forward as their vessel had started to accelerate. The eerie blue light that had gathered in the train’s interior softened and, though the car remained dreamlike it became less disorienting. Objects were clear with defined edges and for a few seconds, sailing seemed smooth.

But with the lumbering footsteps approaching, it would be a close call. Roaring began to reverberate against the walls, each wave of sound collapsing in on the other. Multiple echoes of this nature began to approach at once, accompanied by a rhythmic pounding gait mixed with heavy, raspy breathing and the parting of water. The panting of the great beast was arrhythmic, exhales coinciding with inhales as it drew near. The floors of the train began to heat up, the cavernous tunnel sounding less like a vessel made for trains and more like the throat of a lumbering giant.

Just as light had begin to filter through the windows of the train, it came to an abrupt halt. The shriek of metal cut through the air, a sickening crunch following after. The body of the train car had become warped, its drooping, melted edges were covered in a black, almost tar-like substance. The traincar gave a few more weak jerks forward, only to be violently ripped back into place by its attacker.

A low rumble like the growl of a lion filled the air. Standing over the mangled end of the train car was a three headed beast. Its angular body resembled a greyhound's, long and large enough to be encumbered by the narrowness of the tunnel. Its long, maned necks bowed as it bent to scowl down at its prey. Only two of its faces remained recognizable, their canine structure just as long and bony as its body. The third’s head had melted away, exposing its angular skull, still stringy with leftover pieces of black liquid. Where the flesh stayed intact, its neck seeped a thick black sludge which hit the metal below with a clunk. It was as if it were made of wax that was slowly but surely, dripping away.

Bright, yellow eyes bore down onto the humans who had not quite managed to escape. The heads that still had maws left snarled, exposing long columns of fangs of various sizes. One jaw opened after the other, a bright orange flickering from the back of both of their still fleshy throats. The third remained idle, its head arched back as if to snap on the nearest body it could find. As the multi-faced beast charged what appeared to be a shock of fire, a line of blue shot past the heads of the humans below. As the flames blazed forward, Charon absorbed as much of the attack as he could, falling to the floor after. Struggling, he propped himself up on his oar, his breathing raspy.

“Stop! This- this isn’t you! You’re,” he looked up to the beast who, had stepped back in recoil, each of its necks arching back in unison as if to strike. The little flame body’s eyes went wide as he glanced over his only friend’s body, horrified to find that it had started to dissolve and bubble like heated oil. Roots grew from the beast’s wide ribcage like parasites, sliding along the bony column of its spine and up towards its neck.

Knees shaking, the wisp found himself unable to move and, his hesitation only served to be his downfall. A large, thorn covered paw swept the ground, sending his body to collide with the adjacent wall. With a spark of light the creature’s body fizzled out, leaving behind a charcoal doll in the shape of its body. Cracks in the object emitted a soft blue glow, pulsing in a steady but slow rhythm.

Having swept one pest aside, the hounds of hell turned their attention to the cluster of humans below. A few even steps forward and it opened its two fleshed mouths again, fire bubbling in their throats once more. The third head seemed content to watch as its siblings prepared to eliminate the pests that they sought to destroy.

Okay guys, so I didn't get to posting the plot stuff up today like I had originally planned. It's been a little hectic overall, and given that I have work in the morning I can't stay up that late to finish this draft.

I should have a decent window of opportunity tomorrow, so stay tuned. It may not be until later at night, but that seems to be when everyone dogpiles in anyway. Either way, it is going to be worth the wait, trust me.

The good news is, you guys can post between now and then. Look! A new window of opportunity and free will!

also!!!! @Crimmy @Conflagration

Start thinking about that bonus skill you want to give your personas! Both of your characters got a social link with Charon, so you can pick another low level skill to add onto their sheets. Throw up the ones you guys want up here and either Undine or I will get to approving them. ty :]
Also I hate you Attis you got me addicted to this P4 dub

woot woot!
i have no regrets
@Crimmy He's not a model the camera just went off like th-

@DJAtomika I have been living on a ps2 for twelve years.
I played p3 and p4 in like 2008 or smth. P3P because I was too gay to resist Shinjiro and Aegis.

I'm seriously considering PersonaQ because I have a weakness for Kanji being friends with dogs?
And I'm willing to pay money for tiny crossover funtimes.
@DJAtomika Don't shoot but I have like, avoided literally every persona 4 spin off to date? For the most part it's because I didn't upgrade to the PS3 until a few months ago.

The anime? Well. I have dumb reasons.
Mostly because of a ridiculous grudge against anime frat boys who just weren't classy.
Also laziness. Watching a thing means I have to look for it.

@BrassOtter Yeah. Not going to lie, we're skipping the tutorial fight and if memory serves correctly, no one in present company knows bufu.

Nevermind. I checked. The gang isn't completely screwed.

Posted, btw. I'm sure Carmen is just going to love it.

At first, it appeared as if the old man had disappeared entirely. The sound of branches snapping under his shoes had all but vanished, leaving you alone in the wiry catacombs of mangled branches and eerie lights. More of them had popped up, flickering in and out of your vision as you desperately called out to him. While the sounds of your grandfather’s footsteps had stopped, the distant snapping noise had not. It was slowly but steadily drawing closer, and the soft sound of air parting accompanied it. The blue lights had given you the gift of eyesight, but whatever was lurking in the woods aside from you and your grandfather, was not close enough to be illuminated.

Upon further inspection, you could tell that the lights were almost shaped like miniature people, were it not for their disproportionate heads and translucent bodies. They never acknowledged you by turning their heads, but it was clear they were there to light the way for you. Their bodies formed a line, which, seemed like the only option at the moment. A shuffling of footsteps confirmed that your grandfather was nearby. But why had he fallen so silent? Was the search for his wallet so engrossing that he had ignored your pleas to return to him?

As you closed the distance between yourself and him, the sound of running water became ever so clear. Urban legend had said that many of the spirits of the dead lingered closer to this area, as it was a place where many of them had chosen to take their own lives. It was also a place where murderers gathered to dispose of their victims.

Mounting the very last slope, you saw your grandfather standing at the edge of the river. The consistent pattern of snapping in the distance only grew closer as he waited there. It took on a rhythm that was unlike an animal and unlike footsteps as well. With as loud as it had grown, it was hard to believe anyone would have missed it. Much less find it easy to disregard. Despite this, your grandfather remained stubborn, stepping into the rushing water without regards to you.

The blue flickering lights caught against something on the back of his neck. It was a distinctly thick liquid that seemed to ooze and bubble. It wasn’t light enough to be water and, it certainly was too dark to be blood. Black and sludge-like, it seemed to slosh even faster from the hole in his neck the longer you stared at it. A splash into the river confirmed the dripping was real and the ones following made it impossible to ignore. Your grandfather’s skin was flaking away little by little, like wallpaper with nerve endings. As he turned ever so slightly he looked directly into your eyes, his jaw slack and sallow as if he wished to say something but his mind would not catch up with the movements of his jaw.

Even if you had caught up with him, it was clear he would be leaving you behind.

The light in his chest had left him entirely, preferring to settle on the opposite side of the river, as if to block the way from going any farther.
