Bang got the daylights knocked outta him, and ended up being propelled pretty hard along the ground. It didn't kill him, though given that the phone was in his hand, that arm's gonna be seriously broken (and if his head slammed pretty hard against the ground, that's some head injuries he's really gotta have to check out).

He was super unlucky there, but the guys just a bit further away are certainly gonna be knocked on their asses and depending on how unlucky they are (and proximity) maybe some sprains or breaks too.

Of course, the effect of the explosion on everybody might also be dependent on any steps some of the Espers could take to negate the impact.

Right, I changed my post. Is it satisfactory?

Poor Bang would've gotten hit the hardest, but anybody around the body and him probably would've gotten blasted too (like George did).

Just how badly are we talking?
@Avant Was Junia actually hit by the explosion?

I wasn't planning on having her be hit. Were we all supposed to be?
"This isn't any bloody dream of mine..." Hector muttered to himself as he took in his new surroundings. It all looked so disgustingly puerile, like something a child would dream up. Hector was not the kind to dream of frolicking in some verdant forest with a motley crew of strangers. Whatever this was, he sincerely doubted it was a dream. Although that was the conclusion he had reached, he did not assume that this "talking rabbit" was on the level. Many of the others appeared to be conversing with it as though it was the most normal thing that had ever been. Just because it was standing in front of them didn't make it legit. Hector could think of plenty of other things it could be than an honest-to-god talking bunny, and none of them gave him any comfort here.

"So, uh, while you're taking in all these questions..." He spoke up, directing his speech to the "rabbit". "Would you mind giving us one good reason to trust anything you say?" Even if the rabbit was somehow real, that didn't mean they could trust it. Stranger danger was king, even for grown adults. Putting blind faith in the first thing they saw here was tantamount to disaster.

@The Jest
Fortunate to be further away from Bang and the explosion than others, having preferred to keep her distance from the group, Junia was still knocked down by the force of it. She recovered quite nicely, but now it was personal. She wouldn't have cared if it had just been Bang that had gotten hurt or anybody else, but this man had caught her up in this as a piece of collateral damage. She had no idea what his intentions were, but she certainly wasn't going to let him get anyway near the obvious objective of the corpse. From her position in the group, she decided to lob a few gobs of Dacia-12 in his direction. She couldn't care less what he wanted, this was a matter of settling herself coming to harm.
Have you ever been in an RP that you were expecting to be great, only to find it did not live up to expectations? Perhaps you were expecting something specific from what the interest check offered you, only to find the GM delivered nothing resembling it? Or maybe you had your own expectations as to how things would play out in an RP, and it simply didn't measure up? This is a thread for posting stories about when you were personally disappointed with the direction an RP took, whatever your reasons were.

I'll tell you a story of mine as an example. Last year (almost exactly last year), I was involved in an RP on a different site which grabbed my interest. It was nothing especially complex, but I liked it nonetheless. The premise was that it was a fantasy world split between these three races that had warred in the past, but were now in the midst of an uneasy peace where they were all expected to get along on neutral ground. The obvious idea was that this peace was going to break down and shit was going to happen between the races, with our characters, as important persons within each race, possibly having a shaping influence in how events would play out.

Or, that's how I thought things would develop. As it turned out, the GM was more interested in exploring the exceptionally banal dynamic between their own characters. Basically, their characters were involved in a painfully obvious love triangle between themselves, and possibly also served as a parable for the three races in the RP (with two of them being huge rivals and one being caught in the middle as a peacemaker). Not only did I find it rather dull to read through, but they also involved the players in it in an annoying fashion. See, they opened one of the days in character with a dispute between the two rivals, obviously prompting our characters to do something about it, and we all basically did. But once everyone had posted, there was no reaction to be had. The GM timeskipped to the next day with none of the characters acknowledging what ours had done. By the time the second of these little disputes came around, I came to the conclusion that this was a far too personal story for me to enjoy and I politely left. After leaving, I looked back and saw that the big idea for the plot was to have our characters, most of whom were big community leaders, to abandon their lives despite imminent threat of war between the races to go search for one of the GM's characters that went missing. I could hardly believe how much the intent of the RP had deviated from what I was expecting, and none of it was in a good way.

With my story out of the way, feel free to tell me all about the times you experienced something similar. I should mention, given recent events, that this isn't a pure bitching thread, so please don't come in here to complain about RPs and other stuff you just plain don't like. This is a thread for stories about times you were disappointed in an RP, nothing else. Additionally, try not to call out recent or ongoing RPs or people that will come in here and get upset. You only need to look at the last thread in this section to find out how that works out.

Code for He's an asshole but you get used to it.

In my experience, that would be code for "He's an asshole but the player expects you to find him charming to spare their feelings."
I froth at the mouth whenever certain images are used.

It shouldn't bother me. But it throws me into a fit of rage.

Couple this with "X is nice, but if you hurt their friends, they'll kill you." Then you've really pissed me off.
Junia had been on her phone as she wandered into the street in question. She had been instigating an argument about whether the Esper programme in Academy City counted as a form of Japanese re-militarisation. So far she had managed to force a mudslinging match between nationalists on either side of the Yellow Sea. She loved nationalism and nationalists. It was so easy to provoke a fight over it all. As entertaining as she was finding all the fighting, she tore her eyes away from her phone when she saw the gathering crowd. Wandering over to take a look, she barely reacted when she saw the body, only letting out a light "Huh."

Taking notice of the growing tension in the group, Junia could care less why they were fighting, only that they were. A light smile adorned her lips briefly. "Hey, how do we know that's her only camera?" She called out, speaking to nobody in particular, but definitely speaking in the direction of the concerned parties. "A good journo might carry a secondary one somewhere. Or use their phone. Just saying." She sounded uninterested, but she definitely wanted to see the problem grow.
