Also! Lucky for you I do play FFXIV and I am familiar with the red mage in the MMO! So I suggest if you want to do something similar have a vessel similar to a crystal to apply your magic to and then become a magician that focuses on offensive and support capabilities! ^^

And if you'd like to be a martial artist then you'd want to focus and speed and strength which aligns more towards rogue, so you should definitely be a warrior or rogue (depends on how you'd like to play with your martial-artist ) with gauntlets as weapons and then have skills relating to gauntlet-based attacks! ^^

Abilities are unlearned skills that you see in public and can only turn into skills once you meet the requirement for the abilities class and skill-point requirement.

@CelesteEste Oh my god! I misquoted myself a bow user would fall under rogue and would evolve into archer and/or ranger! I'm so sorry about that! The rogue class can use both light-melee weapons and ranged weapons at the same time!
