What I like most about Motya is that he doesn't even know he is half Omestri. He has grown thinking he was a Varyan whose family had been sentenced to slavery, the only people that know of his Omestri blood would be Mother Oksana (if she put two and two together when she liberated hum from the mines) and the Inner Circle. I like knowing that it can become something that he has to deal with as a character. He already has an affinity to freeing slaves and liberating the commoner and detesting slavery so how much further could that go if he were to find out about the Omestri half.

It is likely Motya would Identify with your character Arch because of the common slavery background but it might be an odd relationship because unlikely your character Motya is outright gregarious, boisterous, and extroverted.
Working on the WIP I posted in the sheets section, I should have it complete in 24 hours.
double post be damned... one hundoh
See that is something I could see as possible and even more compelling. Like you said the Inquisitors underestimated the poor slave and paid for it, which is still a powerful statement about your character without being too spectacular. It also leaves room open for future plots involving your char and those inquisitors because I am sure they didn't leave the encounter happy. Maybe your char ran into them at the Seminary, maybe one was an Archon during your characters demon year and made it even more hellish for the guy. I think it opens up a lot of doors.

Also when you write consider how the world would view your character, unless he hides it well a lot of people will still see an Omestri, even a church rep, as lower than low, though they may not say it openly.
I cannot speak for LJ either but being the guy who developed and wrote out the Omestri race and Inquisitor training (with Scout and another long lost member) with LJ's guidance I would say that a lone Omestri killing any Inquisitors is a bit much-ish. I understand the trope of the hidden power of the Fire Titan and the flair in the character background but I think the Omestri are less of the noble slave trope and more of a "Reek" from GoT honestly. At least that's how I always saw them, I mean these people have been culturally destroyed over generations and reduced to a commodity, utterly vilified and ground into little more than dirt or oil to be used up for heat.

I am not trying to be a bummer Arch, I would love to see you join up after LJ gives you the thumbs up, I just want you to have the best character you can have that falls in-line with all the stuff that has already been laid down over this long span of time. All the other stuff seems great its just that bit that doesn't fit, I mean its like saying a beaten and tortured house slave defeated 2 or 3 Marines or MMA fighters.
I think my writing for FF is at a stand still for the moment... though I have wanted to do something on the Arks. Since my venture in 3D modeling was too ambitious (I hate saying that) maybe I could do something else. I always had some vision of doing the description of the Arks kind of like a short story, less of a technical page and more form the POV of one of the Ark designers. A scene set in a workshop of some kind, a young and frazzled engineer pouring over page upon page of massive technical drawings on a drawing board. A guy or gal at their wits end because they are from a small little design / technical engineering shop and though they have created this marvel of engineering they can never hope to have their designs make it through the political maneuvering of the government and church approval boards. The whole hopeless story would end when it is revealed that the Inquisition has been watching this small firm and accepts the design thus leading to the creation of the arks.

I am not sure if that is what is needed but it is an idea that has needled me. Of course I am also supremely busy with my own side project as well so writing something else may be a bit of a stretch.
Text limit!? Bah what none sense is that?
