Current First post after nearly a month of inactivity. Here's hoping I can get back into a good post routine before long.

Managed to burn both my thumbs and index fingers pulling a tray of cookies out of the oven. I trusted you, oven mitts, and you betrayed me.

RP’s that amass a good player base and have a good start only to suddenly die are why I have trust issues.

You know, its not everyday the thought "How could I make a good cripple?" comes to mind. I'm going to like these contests.
Trad slowly raised his hand. He wasn’t exactly itching to fight a Grimm, but wanted the class to know he was willing. He was confident whatever was in that cage could be killed with relative ease… Right? Unless this was a trick! The professor just stated how he didn’t feel the students held resourcefulness and knowledge very high, what better way to show them their errors then by making an example of one? There could be a Grimm that none of them would be prepared for. Whoever went up would find themselves helpless to fight back and proving professor Port’s point. “Stop! You’re over thinking this.” He finally shook away the doubting thoughts. Even if this was just a way to prove their lack of ability, wouldn’t that just spark ones desire to improve more? No matter if he was picked or not, Trad felt he was ready for anything.
Trad still didn't have an appetite, but ate what he could while he could. Leaving Ben and Amy to do the talking, Trad simply gave Sarina a nod as he got up for the bell. “Hold on,” Trad quickly tossed his food and caught up to Ben and Sangue. “Grimm studies is my next class as well.” It was a quiet walk down the hall. Ben was focused on finding the right room and Sangue was…Well, still being Sangue. Eventually they reached the room and Ben took a seat in the front row. Without a thought Trad followed and sat next to him, but noticed Sangue being hesitant. There were all nervous about this, but she seemed even more so, and sitting in the front row wouldn't really help with that at all. Trad stood up and let her take his seat next to Ben and Trad took the one next to her. He hoped having her in-between teammates and not next to a stranger would help calm her. When she moved almost right next to Ben, Trad couldn't help but wonder if they knew each other better than he thought.
Idk where to vote but I VOTE FOR THE IDEA THAT THE GM SAID! -YEAHHH-
Right here bro!
Oh dag yo! Sorry about that. I'll fix that up and make my post more productive in general. EDIT: Made some changes, hope I kept it more congruent with whats been going on.
Trad couldn't help but laugh at Amy’s remark about his pouting, “Don’t worry, I won’t make it a habit.” He said giving Amy a light pat on the back. While they were talking, Sangue let her claw drag on the floor, causing an extremely annoying sound. Trad wanted to say something, but Sangue still had a grumpy look on her face, and the last thing the team needed was for two of them to get in a tuff. Finally, the moment of truth arrived, they had reached the lunchroom. Trad couldn't help but notice the sea of students all chatting and acting as if they had known each other for year. Trying to avoid eye contact, he moved along to get his food. He ended up with some sort of pasta, not exactly the best food for his nerves but he got it anyway. Unable to find a seat, he simply waited until one of the others sat down and joined them.
In an old one I was in we used to do this (OOC: ) Everything outside of that meant it was IC. Its actually really nice to have a separate thread for it.
"Ummm. Well okay." Trad was completely taken back, Amy went from nervous to completely open and critical. Well, an attempt at criticism. Did she really try getting at him for his stubble? There's only so much a man can control about his hair! Before he could say anything, Ben returned fire and eased the situation. "Hey!" Trad spoke harshly silencing the two, "I am not mean, just a little rugged." His tone changed to that of an pouting child. As soon as he spoke, Trad couldn't help but chuckle. He had a feeling this team of "washouts" was going to get along just fine.
"Its a pleasure." Trad shook their hands as well. It was strange how different they all acted out of combat. Ben not only fought like a warrior, but he immediately took charge of the situation and commanded the team. Now he seemed more laid back as if he'd rather go with the flow than take and charge. Amy was the same. While fighting the Grimm, she was fierce and strong, taking head on any that was unfortunate enough to get near her. Yet as they stood there, she fidgeted with her collar, like she was unsure or nervous about the situation. Sangue was probably the only one who differed the least. She was fast and merciless during the Grimm attack and currently had a dark and slightly unwelcoming look on her face. On the other hand, this was only the first encounter with his team, and right now they were all still processing the news of their sudden acceptance. They could all be completely new people once they got more relaxed. "So... Shall we go?"
The silence from the professor was agonizing. Trad had worked his heart out practicing for the exam, only to fail in misery. It was probably his fault too, he was over protective of his team and got in their way trying to shield them from attacks they most likely could have avoided. That didn’t stop him though. He continued his practice and learned from his mistakes during the exam, and as luck would have it, it paid off. Now here he was, in the headmaster’s office waiting to hear the verdict. The anxiety was killing him, and the disapproving stares of Ms. Goodwitch only made things worse. Still, he did his best to stand firm and at attention. Finally Ozpin spoke, reminding him and the others of their humiliation during the exams. He couldn’t help but feel this might not be the reconsideration he had hoped for. Then, he heard the words from Ozpin, "That is why you four are hereby admitted to Beacon Academy” Trad couldn’t help but smile. Despite all that had happened he was now a student of Beacon! His joy was quickly hushed by an even colder stare from Goodwitch, as if to remind him of how thin of ice he would be on. When the team was dismissed and they all left the office, Trad let out a long sigh, “I’m not the best when it comes to history, but I think we may be the first rejects to be allowed in.” Trad wasn't sure he could eat just yet, he was still trying to take in the fact that he was now a student. More than that, he was member of a team! Still, they could use the time to get a game plan. Figure out schedules and class locations. "I think that's the right way. If not I'm sure we'll find it one way or another."
