Role Play Has Ended [Closed]

I think outside LA, somewhere woody. Do you know of any place like that? I'm not great at describing geography or what not, places. Some times when writing my stories, I make up the name of the town so I can just be creative with how I describe it. >.>

State of affairs. Everything is seemingly shut down. It's only been a month or so since this has happened, but it was really fast in spreading and seemingly widespread.

I'm open to any suggestions. I'll go ahead and get an OOC up for those of us who are already approved.
A giggle escaped Mayumi's lips as she watched the mermaid look at her glasses for a few moments, before she put them on her face. The way she reacted made her stifle another giggle. She did not want the mermaid to think she was rude. It was actually kind of cute watching the mermaid discover something for the first time. It was like a newborn child or a kitten. Of course, Mayumi would not tell that to the girl. She had a feeling that would be offensive.

She took her glasses back and popped them back onto her nose. They slid down again, making her roll her eyes. She took them off again and put them in her glasses case and put that into the backpack. Her vision was a little blurry now, but not so bad that she couldn't see what was right next to her. She could even make out some distance, but seeing details from far away was the worse. Her mom had promised time and time again that she would take her to the mainland to get her glasses resized. Her mother never seemed to want to leave the mainland, even when Mayumi had to just to go to school. The island was too small to have it's own school. Going to school on the mainland was great, especially if the tide got too high; they got to miss without any sort of punishment.

"Thanks. I need to get them resized to fit my face better, but..." She trailed off. The mermaid probably would have no idea what she was talking about. No, scratch that, of course the mermaid would have no idea what she was talking about. Last time Mayumi went to get her glasses, she had to go with a chaperone her mother picked, because her mother claimed she was too busy to leave. Excuses. That is all they were. What did her mom have against the mainland? Or leaving the island?

Mayumi watched in wide-eyed amazement as the mermaid started to shift around. For a moment, she felt a pang of disappointment in the pit of her stomach, thinking the girl was going to dash off into the water again, never to be seen for the rest of Mayumi's life. Instead, the mermaid turned to lay in a more comfortable position on her belly.

She propped herself on her elbows and stared right at Mayumi. It was really something that should have been painted in a fantasy book. This mermaid, so unique and breathtaking to behold. The colors of her tail alone took Mayumi's breath way. Her hair as well. It was so red. Mayumi had never seen hair as red as the mermaid's. Then there was her face, so pale, so flawless.

When she started to speak, Mayumi couldn't help blushing. The sound of her voice seemed to tickle at her skin, it was almost like music... and even magic. Just seeing the mermaid was like seeing magic. She was magic. Her fellow villagers were wrong. Mermaids were not evil. How could they be? Would an evil being thank someone? Would they speak so softly, so politely?

"You have no need to thank me. I was happy to help. I-I always wondered what... " She blushed and looked down at her scraped and sand filled knees. She winced. Now she noticed the pain. Ouch. "I mean, I just wondered what a mermaid would look like in person." She looked back up, her black eyes sparkling. "Do you have to go so soon?" She bit down on her lower lip. There was so much they could both gain from getting to know each other. It was an opportunity that neither would most likely ever have again.

"I'm Mayumi." She looked at the others tail again, still really shy about doing so. It was like she was breaking in on the mermaid's privacy. She just couldn't help it. The tail was so wonderful. She'd never seen anything like it, like the mermaid. "I'm sorry for staring. You're... just really beautiful."
Nice pictures. She looks so much older than 18. Maybe it's the suggestive clothing and poses.

I'll try to have an IC post up when I can. It's late and my brain is on vacation.
A dwarf? Willow looked at the man with unabashed intensity. She had never seen one in person before. She had heard of this race, of course, but never had one traveled through the forest she resided in. He was small in stature, but looked rather strong. Far more strong than Willow now felt herself, let along poor Lia. Though, Willow felt her pride flare up at the idea of getting help for herself, and it must have shown in her face, because the dwarf continued, something about welcoming help when you needed it and he mentioned his mother.

"I really am okay, good sir," Lia said. She looked at Willow and could tell the tree spirit was conflicted on whether she should give into her human side and accept the dwarf's help. Perhaps for Willow's sake, Lia should also allow him to help her. She did feel more weak than usual. Lia had seen some of the servants before when they were with child and they continued to bustle around, cleaning and doing vigorous labor. She could not fathom how they were able to do that. Forced by the King and Queen, no doubt.

Lia felt ashamed that she never once offered them help, though they had never asked and her being Princess, they would not allow her to help anyway. She wondered what happened to their babe when it was born. Did it get raised to be a next generation servant, or was it given to an orphanage, or worse?

"I do suppose we could both use a little hand... I mean, a hand," Lia blushed. "I meant no offense. I mean... oh dear, I'm making a right fool out of myself." She looked from Willow to the dwarf, something akin to panic settling into her eyes.

"You should not apologize, My Lady," Willow scolded. Lia had forbidden Willow to tell anyone she had runaway from her kingdom and was a princess, but whenever the tree spirit wanted to remind her of her upbringing, she called her "My Lady," which was almost as bad.

Willow looked down at the dwarf. "Should she? Are you offended?"

Post your CS when you have the chance. Beware of random side characters. Those can be fun.
Name: Diana Sanchez

Age: 17

Occupation: Senior in high school

(When she wears makeup, she goes for the more bold. She figures "why not" because she already stands out as it is.)

Bio:

The first thing you would notice about Diana is that she has albinism. It is a congenital disorder characterized by the complete or partial absence of pigment in the skin, hair and eyes due to absence or defect of tyrosinase, a copper-containing enzyme involved in the production of melanin. This makes her a little different from others around her. Not only does she have pale white skin, platinum white hair and light blue eyes, the disorder also causes her to have vision defects, such as being legally blind at 20/200. She can see some things clearly, but only at a close range. If it is more than a foot from her face, she can't see it very well, or at all. She can see some things far off, but usually only shapes, without the details. For example, if you were standing a couple feet away from her, she would be able to see you have eyes, but not be able to see what color they are. The disorder also causes her to suffer from Nystagmus, irregular rapid movement of the eyes back and forth, or in circular motion. It is something she can't control and she does not know when she is doing it. She sometimes uses bioptics, glasses which have small telescopes mounted on the lenses, so that she can look through either the regular lens or the telescope. Such a thing might help her read at close range better. She also uses monoculars, which are like one half of a pair of binoculars to get a clearer view of things further away.

Diana does not let her condition get in her way of life. She is usually an outgoing person, loves life and everything in it. She is not rude or stuck up, despite what some of her peers might think. This comes from the fact that she really can't see a person when they are waving at her from across the room. She isn't ignoring you, she just can't see you.

Diana also has a little sister named Jenna who also shares her condition.

When their mother passes away and Diana and Jenna are sent to live with some strangers miles from where they've lived all their lives. The strangers are Diana and Jenna's godparents, her mother's childhood best friends.

Diana is put in a school that in it's history has never had a student like her before. In fact, the town is so small, Diana doubts anyone there has ever seen someone like her in person.

Jenna dressed as a hauntingly beautiful mermaid. Jenna is 6 and in love with fantasy books.
What is your level of rping (Casual? High Casual?)

A CS would be nice. I'll make a OOC and you can post it there.
