-Remi-
"Yeah, three dead..." Remi narrowed his eyes, gripped his baseball bat and looked down the street at the shambling creatures. He knew that they could run in and probably take them out in no time, but what if more showed up? What about the people who were shooting? Where were they in all this chaos? He looked over at his companion and shook his head. "We need to make sure those three are alone. We can't afford a surprise." It was agonizingly slow the time they spent watching the three creatures; no others joined them and it seemed they were for sure alone.
"I'm worried about the shooter. The owner of the gun could be worse than three slow walkers." He nodded toward the undead and then sighed. "I'll take the one on the far right, you take the one further left and we'll meet in the middle on the third guy."
Just as they were about to silently sneak up on the infected, a man wearing what looked like a bathrobe stumbled out of one of the houses nearby; his eyes were wide and he looked crazed. He was holding a gun in his left hand. Their shooter.
"Ash, he's getting ready to turn," Remi whispered, all color draining from his face. "Ah, yes..." The gun in the man's hands fell to the ground, making a sound loud enough to get the other undead's attention. "We've got trouble. Change of plan." Remi reached into his pocket and pulled out a long, slender throwing knife. He weighed it in his hands and took a step toward the man who was still in the process of turning.
"Sorry," he said, throwing the knife, lodging it between his eyes. The other three were now almost on them.
-Olivia-
Olivia followed behind Mercy, dodging and moving out of the way when an undead came after her. The lady was good with taking care of most of them and it looked like they would make it to safety. When they actually did, she let out a long breath that she had not known she was holding.
"How long do you think we will be safe?" Olivia whispered. "I hope the others come back okay." She did not know the other two people, but it was always nice being part of a bigger group. She could pretend they were family, at least for a little while. The redhead sighed, looking out the window of the place they were in. The road looked clear and it was eerily quiet.
