The girl behind her had flowing red hair. It was beautiful the way it swirled around her slender body. She could not make out her face very well, but in her mind, she knew it was Mara. Mayumi smiled while she was dreaming, turning over onto her back and kicking off her bedsheets. She always had this dream, or some variations of it. The redhead was always in them and always following her, or Mayumi would be chasing her. It was like a fun game of cat and mouse; they never managed to reach each other.

Which was why most mornings she woke up with a happy, yet frustrated feeling. It was a lovely and magical dream, but why couldn't she ever get close enough to see the mermaid's face, or touch her hand? She shook her head and then sighed. Mayumi climbed out of bed and quickly went through her morning routine, fed Holly and grabbed everything she needed for her trip to the secret cove.

This time, she put on a yellow pok-o-dot bikini and a pair of lime green jean shorts over the bottoms. At the beach, she would take the shorts off, maybe this time get in the water with Mara. She may not be a mermaid, but they could at least swim together a little, right? What could it hurt? She grinned stupidly at the idea.

"Bye Holly!" She yelled to her fuzzy feline and made a dash out her front door, grabbing a piece of toast on the way. She gobbled it down and ran toward the beach. When she got to there, she slowed down, took a deep breath and tried to act like a normal girl going out for a swim. She did not want any nosy person to follow her to the rocks and wonder why she'd be nuts enough to climb them.

When she was near the rocks, she looked around, making sure she was alone. Mayumi got over them in record time, though she managed to scrape her leg on a jagged rock, cutting it enough that it started to bleed. She did not even notice, because she was so eager to see Mara.

"Oh hello," she said when she got to the water's edge and saw her friend waiting for her. She dropped her duffel bag, kicked off her shoes, socks and shorts and then walked out to meet Mara. "Did I keep you waiting long?"
I posted back. I'm sorry if mine are not as descriptive as yours since you made the world, you know it better. I don't want to mess anything up!

The small body of a girl laid on a strange rock, in a strange place, in a strange new planet. Fiona could barely push herself up onto her elbows. Her arms shook as she tried to do so, but everything inside of her hurt. How did she come to be here? Where was here anyway? She looked around her, taking in the different surroundings. She was no longer in the comforts of her small room on the space craft. She was on some planet and who knew if it was the planet her father and his crew had been wanting to go to.

It had all started a couple years ago when Fiona had purposely failed every class she had been forced to take. They were classes that would help her become a scientist like her mother and father. She was not a stupid person by any means; she just did not desire to follow in her parents footsteps. Her father had been furious at her and that was the night he spilled the secret plans he and his coworkers were up to. They were trying to find a way to get to another planet safely because the one they were on was slowly dying.

Her father said that she needed to be a scientist if she wanted to survive. The people in charge of the project were only picking the brightest minds to venture to the new planet and those were the ones that would surely be saved. They had hoped to later bring over more people, but there was that small chance that after they arrived, they would not be able to leave again.

Fiona rebelled, whether or not she would be able to go didn't matter. She was a young girl who thought her father was crazy. How would they ever be able to fly a space ship to another planet and in the time frame of two years? That is what she had thought at the time. She had been wrong, of course.

It had happened like her father said it would happen and he had been right; the people in charge only allowed about 300 scientist, doctors and other people of high rank to come on the craft. There had been limited space. In the end, Fiona still managed to come; her father and mother pulled many strings, made many empty promises and passed along useless money to the right people.

Though, now here she was, all alone, on a rock in an alien planet. She rubbed the back of her head, pulling back when she felt wetness there. The red of her blood was so bright that it almost frightened her. Foggy memories were starting to come back to her. There had been a lot of shouting and a fire. Some engine trouble? Fiona pulled her knees to her chest and shivered.

That's right, something happened to the space craft and they went down. How had she managed to survive? Had she been thrown from the ship somehow? Where was everyone else?

At least she could breathe. There was that. She sniffed. Nothing smelled too out of place. She tried to speak, but found that her throat was raw. I was screaming along with everyone else. She stood up and tested her body. It hurt, but she could move, though she did not know what good it did, because where could she go?

"H-Hello?" she managed to croak out in a raspy whisper.
Faith, go ahead and post your post.
All right, but let's keep these collabs down to a minimum. If you have to do one, get them done in a day/two max.

I don't really get the point of them to be perfectly honest. All that needs said and done can be done per post so we can be fair to everyone.
.
No problem. I'm fine with a slower pace lol or whatever pace you want to go. I'm trying to get caught up with everyone and then I'm going to stick to a once a day or once every two or three day pace because of my health. (My sig explains sometimes it could be longer)

I've got loads of rps (and it's so fun to resist joining more) and with my health problems coming and going, it can get a little crazy.
I'm doing okay.

Posting on some of my rps. Put up a fandom Int check thread and pretty much just laying around. In some pain because we had to rush move all our stuff into a new place yesterday. o.O The whole place in one hour. It was nuts. But we had help luckily.
"Wow, my brave brother Shawnie," Lucinda said. She reached out and gave the lady's hand a good firm shake. "You can call me Lucy if you please." She eyed her brother, giving him a look that only he could read. Shawn gave her a look back that she seemed to understand. They were very close, seeing as how he raised her from very young. He was not only a brother, but a mother and father figure as well.

"So Mrs. Robin, what is it that you do for a living?" She asked. She did not mind that there was a white person in their home, though the idea was a little odd. Most people would be talking soon, that was for sure. It was not everyday that the colors mixed by choice. Though the lady did seem kind enough, not like she was looking down on them. Lucy hoped she did not think she was better than them.

"She's a school teacher, Lucy," Shawn answered, giving his sister a little nudge so that she would take her seat. "And a thumping good one at that." He winked at Robin before he could catch himself. If Robin were another black woman, the wink would have been taken as a silly tease, nothing at all harmful, but if someone caught him doing such a thing to a white lady, then all heck would break loose. Robin herself might become offended.

"Oh really!" Lucy set down quickly and looked over at Robin with more eagerness in her eyes than she had before. "So you can read and write? What's it like? We only know a little, but not like novel reading or letter writing. Is it wonderful? Oh, I bet it is."

Shawn felt himself blushing. Of course Lucy would be so outspoken.
