Apparently, I am not dead.

Bio

Hey all. I'm a few sunsets over 30, and I live in Michigan.

I'm a former Marine, currently kind of going to school.

I've been RPing since AOL, so that's like <counts, then recounts, then sighs>, over 15 years.

I RP at an advance level.

I'm pretty awesome, but I'm kind of direct, prickly, and assertive in terms of the RPs I participate in and the people I RP with.

Feel free to drop me a line any time about pretty much anything.

Go easy.

Yeah, take care of yourself. I'll wait for you to post IC before moving forward.

I'm in no rush to get things going, and I'm not like, abandoning the RP because you have issues.

Get well.

I posted, but just saw you did too! YES!

Reading now.

Az
And I only ask because I see Engel RPing in a few places on the site but not here. Which, to me, means they're simply done RPing here.

Let me know.

Very basic post is up. If I didn't proceed far enough, please let me know, but I wanted to leave time for Terminal to act and then for Kraux (or Terminal) to use Cath.

Quick question: Engel. Is he/she gone as a player? Because if so, can I kill that character?

PLEASE?!!?

Kyuzo went through the door as hit combat HUD lit up, showing him the location of several enemies on the main floor, in his direct vicinity. He tossed two flashpacks at opposite ends of the room and they immediately sent off powerful flashes of light that were meant to stun and blind targets. There was a metal storage container between him and the targets on the main floor, so he moved to that immediately. As he moved, he targeted and fired at 2 fire extinguishers on the wall, causing a good size explosion in both locations. At those spots, one on a wall near each of the stairs, it destroyed part of the wall, sent shrapnel in different directions, and then hopefully sent at message to at least a few of those inside that those coming in meant business and that this business was not what they were paid to deal with.

A few moments after, gunshots started to ring out from an assault rifle. He figured that they were shot in a general direction at this point, but bullets didn’t care if what they hit was a target or not. He looked behind him to see the other two runners making their way into the door. He waved a hand at them to move over to the covered position before turning around its corner and bounding off into the room.

He chose to move in the direction of the closest fire extinguisher (to the left of the main entrance, near the stairs) as the carnage, debris, and dust would give him some concealment as he moved. He jumped over one form on the floor, an ork who was either unconscious or dead, and stepped through the smoke and dust and found himself in front of a troll.

The troll turned, but the strobe from the flashpack went off, disorientating the troll. Kyuzo sidestepped immediately and darted in low, avoiding the spray of the assault rifle fire that the troll sent where Kyuzo was a fraction of a second before. The ork felt his metabolic system pump some chemical or hormone into him in the form of a burst of speed and energy as he moved in and caught the troll with an uppercut, full under the chin. If there was a picture in the dictionary of what a textbook uppercut looked like, that was it. There was a low but distinct BZZZZZ sound as the ProTek Shock Knuckles did their job. The nice thing about these is that not only did the incapacitate the body, they also did a number on electronics. That damage would depend on the type of system, but still, it was just a nice little addition. The troll crumbled in a heap onto the floor.

The first half of the day was what Stan would consider dull and uneventful. He met people but forgot most of them and what they did, and was sure they did the same and would not remember who he was if he seen them tomorrow at the office, or tonight in the bar. It was nice to get a better grasp of the grounds though, so he was appreciative of that. Then came the part he was looking forward to the most: business. Actual business.

Truth be told he wasn’t happy at the nature of the case, but it wasn’t like he wasn’t used to it, or expecting otherwise. Even when he was in good graces with units, there were slow days and slam dunk cases that needed to be made. Sometimes, the day consisted of simply busting a drug dealer on a corner because it was that kind of day. He also knew every day wasn’t shaking down crime lords, extortion rings, or chasing down cold blooded killers. Some days, there were no doors that needed to be kicked down.

And, he was the new guy. He smirked, thinking about his old training officer. She told him, “starting at a new department is like dating a prude. You don’t get to stick your dick in the first day. You start off slow.”

He didn’t say much after Skye finished with her case introduction and instead busied himself looking through the file at pictures, statements, and reports. He flipped back and forth a few times, raising an eyebrow curiously. Something seemed to be screaming out at him from his psyche but he couldn’t quite lock it down.

Why don’t we go take a look around the suspect’s house first Agent Asselta? Best case, he’s home. Worst case, we see if we can get some profile up on him, find something telling, or maybe even remove him as a suspect. But going to the areas, the witnesses, we won’t get anything new. The pictures will be the same, the damage will probably be removed or cleaned, and the witnesses will say the same thing.

They made it to the car as he finished and they stopped a few feet in front of it. “I mean, sorry Agent Asselta. I didn’t mean to just commandeer things. I just, I guess I know how things move like this, at least where I have been.” He stood there somewhat awkwardly and waited to see if she’d be driving or if he would.

First of all, sorry. I was busy this weekend and watching a newborn, so I didn't get to sleep for more than 2 hours at any point.

SO! Flashbacks are fine now, and at any time. Or you can go ahead IC. I just tend to get going in the IC with flashbacks while things are still forming up.

I'll be on more tonight and tomorrow to get some stuff done either IC or with characters.

Sorry for the delay.

Sorry, was a crazy weekend with juggling kids. I'm going to do some cleaning and if I'm not passing out tonight, I'll get a post up. It may be tomorrow though.

I hope your weekend went well.

Az
No worries at all. I'm busy as fuck too, and wanted to just make sure you guys aren't waiting on me. I have all the patience in the world, so don't sweat it. At least with me.... I cannot speak for the rest of these unruly jackanapes.....

Az
Well we need to hash out:
A: Steve and Miranda's connection. We DID say they'd have a past that involved her assisting in uncrowning him, correct?

B: Are Lazlo and Jamie going to be together? I mean just, platonically killing aliens. I know we mentioned us forming a group, so is that the case with these two?

I'm going to make another mutant, that's my plan. But I just got finished with the lawn, and now I'm going to shower and run errands. Some time today, time willing, I may do an IC post that's more of a flashback. Just so you know.
