Hey all. I'm a few sunsets over 30, and I live in Michigan.
I'm a former Marine, currently kind of going to school.
I've been RPing since AOL, so that's like <counts, then recounts, then sighs>, over 15 years.
I RP at an advance level.
I'm pretty awesome, but I'm kind of direct, prickly, and assertive in terms of the RPs I participate in and the people I RP with.

For other RPs I don't mind them.
And Mystic, and ALL others. I forgot to mention. ANY AND ALL people in the CDC facility MUST be immune. Upon being selected, they are ALL tested. They simply do NOT KNOW THIS!!!!!
So any CDC member will be immune.

Please read the current update, from 2/28, in regards to a required RP sample.
Two important things: Yes. This is absolutely mandatory. Next, I cannot stress enough, do not fret over this. Don't waste time thinking I'm going to be judging you on quality, or lumping people in groups based on how good/bad I think the sample is. As I said above, it's to make sure you can post as I'd expect in terms of quantity, not so much quality (except for grammar, spelling, and making sense). I'm not looking for your defining post.

Zhal , everything looks great.
Jim, that looks really good. In regards to him being a medic, I'd say don't make him a licensed medic so much as having him be trained in real world first aid. As a survival expert, that knowledge would be paramount. So even if he wasn't an EMT he'd benefit from all of that stuff.
Shiver, I don't see anything that screams out to me as "wrong" or needing to be fixed with you character. Shortly, which could be a week, I'll post it in the character slot.

Quick though, I'm not sure if your term "captured" is just out of context, or you mean that, but most people aren't captured, so much as....politely told they do not have a choice, maybe even drugged/tasered.

No worries, as long as you don't wanna run with the CDCs for the right reason, I'm ok, haha.
I'm not sure on distance, but eventually BOTH groups are going to meet at either a small convenience store or gas station about 20 miles north of Fort Leonard Wood.
I'll have more information on the infection and things like the locations of the two groups later.
Initially, both groups will be separate, but they'll meet.

Lupus, if you wanna jump in the CDC group, trust me, that's not an issue. I do not think ANYONE from Season 1 is still here, except for me, so anyone who comes to the CDC group may be a StE veteran, but they were NOT in the original group.
