Ashlynn slowly stood up, still tired from being awakened prematurely by Balthazar. She was sleepy, yes, but she was more irritated mainly because she wasn't even involved.

She waved at Kyo slowly as she started to leave. "We'll catch up soon, I'm sure. Maybe you and me could even go a date!", Ashlynn teased.

Cancer, however, eagerly and quickly got up, almost rocketing off his seat as if it were a launch pad. Feeling the disorienting rush of standing up suddenly, he shook his head vigorously until the short-term symptoms were gone. He raised his arms in the air, and quickly made his way out of the cafeteria before any of the other remaining group members could.

"YES! I'm excited! Let's go!", Cancer said loudly.

Ashlynn groaned. "Can we not?"

"Is someone wearing their gwumpy pants this morning?"

Cancer, seeing a nearby moving object, then put his attention to that. It was Jacob getting up and making his departure. "See you lates, Cap'n!", he said as he waved.

"Well THAT sounds fun!", Cancer said enthusiastically. He looked towards Jade and Kyo. "Can I come too?!"

As soon as Cancer finished his sentence, Ashlynn dropped herself down next to Kyo, immediately putting her arms on the table and laying her head on them with a loud thunk. She groaned, but didn't say anything else.

"Balthazar? Who's that?", Cancer asked between mouthfuls.

Noticing Jade who noticed Kyo, he put his hand near his mouth and yelled (in a friendly tone of voice, not a threatening one, mind you). "HEYA BUDDY! OVER HERE!"

For some reason, today was a good day for Cancer. Not so sure about everyone near him, though. Seriously, who's Balthazar?

"BRRRRRRREEAKFAAAAAAST!", Cancer shouted as he plopped himself at the table with several trays of food. He was back in his normal, full regalia- jacket, boots, hardened armor and all. It felt good to be in something than that drafty infirmary dress.

"MORNIN'," he said as he waved at Jade enthusiastically.

Cancer was equally surprised to see Carolyn at the door, and jumped out of his seat. He quickly put his dishes away, cleaned up the kitchen as if no one was there in the first place, and placed the remains of his sandwich in a paper bag.

"NO USE RESISTING SEE YOU ALL TOMORROW BYE!", he said rather quickly, bolting out of the kitchen as fast as he possibly could while still dressed in the weird pale-blue man-dress the infirmary gives their patients.

Cancer put back the mouthpiece onto his helmet and leaned his head on his fist. "Don't be disappointed if you don't."

He stared into empty space for a few months, quiet. "We gonna do anything about it anytime soon? Been awhile since I've last stretched", he said, rotating his arm in a circular motion.

Cancer flailed his arms around after getting hit by the ball of water. "You could have woken me up! I faked my coma after the second week so I could skip class!"

His tone changed again as he drummed on the table with his fingers. "That's a really long time to be missing, especially for a high-level Wanderer like her. You aren't rejecting the idea that she's dead though, are you?"

"Wahahaha", Cancer bellowed merrily as he finished the last of his sandwich. The midnight food raid was truly a success!

His tone immediately changed as he addressed his friends, however. "It's been a while. Five weeks? Anything important happen while I was 'sleeping'? I didn't get many visits in the infirmary, ya assholes.", Cancer said, giving each one of them the finger.
