Bio
Cold, Old, oh so very full of mold. I am Bean. 26/genderqueer I am old as shit, and have been RPing for well over a decade. Hit me up with some of that isekai shit.
3 months ago, 4 people quit at once, and left us with 3 people to run a store. A month after that, the big manager quit with no notice. since then i havent had a day to myself; any time off (1 day a week, if im lucky maybe 2 days) is spent either running errands for my family, or trying to put a dent in the household chores (poor, poor potted plants, how I have neglected you...) or taking care of myself (my poor, poor diet....)
this kills the bean
If I'm lucky, I get home at 10 PM at the earliest. usually, I'm home just before midnight, go to bed immediately, then wake up 8ish hours later and go to work. The kicker? I'm only being paid 15 cents above minimum wage for doing everything the big manager does/did (besides scheduling and hiring/firing people).
I'm currently searching for a new job that doesnt suck ass, but until then RIP me, eh?
TL;DR my posting activity will likely be around 1 or 2 days a week. you are forewarned **spoopy arm wiggles**
♦Modern-day setting. Big city. Magic runs rampant, and coexists beside technology. Almost everyone uses magic, save for a few who can't. One character can't use magic due to their family curse- A curse which, if they want something, they get a ludicrous amount of it (or, if it's too big or too rare, cans of pennys), and otherwise renders them unable to do magic, and live life as we do. Another is a person who uses magic constantly. That character gets bored, writes a letter, teleports it to wherever, and before the rp begins, the two characters meet and become penpals. The two eventually meet up and go on an adventure to remove the family curse (and, later, find out why it was put on the first characters' family in the first place).
(Looking to build upon this plot, as I am very fond of it)
♦ Two characters, somewhere between scifi and modern. Character A is a well-intentioned scientist/inventor/hermit who lives in a little town in the middle of nowhere. They live alone- sans their creations on a hill- in an overbuilt home that's been in the family since the town was made. The townspeople loathe the scientist, believing them to be "mad", partially because of the stigma of what the scientists' family did in the past, partially because A's experiments get out every now and again and cause significant damage to the town. Years go by, and after a recent disaster, the townspeople finally figure out how to report the scientist to the S.M.P.B.; the Scientist Madness Prevention Bureau. Enter character B- A representative scientist from the S.M.P.B., that, due to the family history of madness in A's family, is sent to live-in and report on A's activities for a month, assessing their threat level. They then discover a horror lurking in a hidden basement, from the first of A's family. They accidentally awaken/stabilize it, and it gets out, making the pair go on a chase to figure out how to neutralise it, stop it from reproducing, and save the world.
The year is 2040, and the world has actually achieved what the 60's promised. Robot maids, food at the press of a button, flying cars, utopias above the clouds. There is no disease, no hunger, no one usually suffers. Most everything is artificial, dead, plastic, or all three. There is an occasional war, but nothing much. Life is mundane, however, and boring. Books and games exist and are fun, but they can only do so much, which often leads youth to cause trouble, just to stave off boredom. Global news and conditions that don't effect the people are ignored.
The era is the era of Einhal. War has broken out, between the two major kingdoms, and their allies. Magic runs rampant and is used as a tool, and it's extremely similar to . Life being boring is the least of the people's problems, and thus don't go in seek of entertainment, unless they are extremely well off. Those able usually fight in the war, and those that can't try to help the cause when they can. There aren't many places untouched by the war.
However, there is an anomaly in the otherwise unconnected worlds. There is a book in each world that serves as a portal- when something is inserted into the binding, it comes out on the other side, in another universe. If something is written on the pages, it appears on the other side. It appears completely out of place- For the futuristic world, it looks old-timey; For the magical world, it appears metallic and stylized.
For whatever their reasons, one person from each world stumbles upon the book, and its strange properties, and it turns out, the people in each world are exact copies of those in the alternate world, though their personalities are changed. If one is violent in the first world, the violence is kept inside as only a thought in the other. Strangely enough, if a person gets damaged, their doppelganger gets the same damage when asleep.
But the government in the first world is rapidly and insidiously growing, and the story of a book that "leads to a world of doppelgangers and immense power" is spreading in the second- even to the opposition in the war, who will do anything to win. Will the two book owners manage to keep their books safe and create a safe place, or will they be separated once again? Or, will the two books fall into the wrong hands?
(This is an old RP I had, over a year ago. It is dead, long cold and rotting, but goddamn, I love this plot.)
In this world, there are those whos talents exceed those of the average human being. We are not talking about "can run at 25mph", or any of our normal world records... More like, "can shoot lasers out of their eyes"-type talents. These people are called Supers, and though rare, are well known.
We have two characters, friends since childhood. Perhaps they felt something for one another, perhaps not. But one thing for certain, they are not identical. Both ended up developing into Supers at some point, and found themselves at odds with eachother on the field. Be them rivals, vilian/hero, or antihero/hero, they often end their encounters with violence. They, however, do not know that their dearest friend is the one. Afraid of what might happen, what might change if the other knew who and what they really were, they kept it silent, buried, no matter how difficult.
This was the norm, until one fateful encounter- one finds out the truth about their friend.
I am a denizen of pizza hell and have sold my soul to blizzard, thus I have little time anymore. However, I've noticed how dull and depressing my life is without RP , and decided to give this a swing again. I have been in this guild for 5+ years, since the old site, and RPing since I was 9, so I'm not new to this. I prefer to have partners who write decently, though I can work with just about anything.
I am 21. I have depression, and I am nocturnal. I will do my best to manage one reply a day, though some days may be more, some days may be less- it depends on what time I get out of work, if my WoW guild is running a raid, and my general motivation.
Typically, I manage one or two paragraphs average; I give what I get, so to speak. I have not RP'd in 5+ months due to life and a lack of motivation, so... I'm pretty rusty.
This is a new thread, as my old one is 2+ years old
Introduction aside:
Nopes: -furries -the naughties. The night time. The dirties. The fleshy, sweaty fun time. -I can't write mXm well so i steer away from it. I will try, but it will not be good more often than not -one liners (I will cry, please no) -canon characters (friends im sorry i literally cant be a canon I am too porous and will probably not do well) -any implied nasties with anyone under 18. Sorry kiddos but im old and thats not my thing -mary sues/gary stus
yeps: -love me some romance/adventure -if you can work WoW into it, you can have my entire ass. -creative input -a long-term partner -superheros?? YES?? please

♦Two characters. A wanted thief, and a strange human, not of the world (or, well, culture clash from a very, very distant land). 100% fantasy setting. Weirdo is unable to do magic, but can do the rare art of alchemy, at a cost to his stamina (think FMA type alchemy, but super nerfed). Weirdo was working on a way to make a lot of money to take care of their family, but accidentally teleports to the thief, in the middle of a heist/murder. idk what the thief does, but the weirdo gains the thiefs' interest. They then go out on a journey to get a maguffin- I haven't decided what but its not gonna be easy- for the alchemist to take home AND a way for them to make a portal home, in exchange for helping the thief leave.
I forgot most of where I was goign to go with this, and input would be appreciated
♦Two characters, both kidnapped by some shady organization. They were (human)child lab rats, testing a process that allows a human to jump into anything connected to the internet, and leave out another thing connected to the internet. They were deemed failures, put into the foster care system together. Several years after, it turns out the process was a success, and they turn into the most notorious thieves of the 21st century. A great many heists later, the police/interpol catch on, and end up cutting the internet out to their newest heists' location. One makes the other go, trapping themselves to be caught by the police. The scientists get to that character, warning them/showing them about the sh*tty side effects of their powers- they're leaving bits of themselves in the internet, and eventually will become fully trapped in the internet if they do not stop and get stabilized. That character (I'm gonna call them A) goes to warn the other, who's already been picked up by a mafia, and is in really really REALLY deep debt. The journey is getting the two back to get stabilized, what happens when they are, and maybe what happens after.
not so interested in this one these days, but I can roll with it
♦Two characters, modern(ish) day sci-fi. A war has been going on in space, unbeknownst to those of us on earth. An imperialistic race of aliens had set out to claim all they could, leaving every race they displaced either dead, dying, or out for blood. The imperial aliens discover earth, setting out to capture it, only to have their first contact be foiled by the earth's' defenses- not only the natural ones, like the magnetic field, but also the man-made ones, like missiles and emp waves. We start out with one character, who lives at least on the edge of nowhere, with the other character crashing down in their property.

If you have interest in me, just yell at me and I'll get to you. Like one of my old plots, but is something about it off? we can work together and alter it to fit your style. Dont like any of my plots? we can build something completely new!
~ Hero x Hero or Non Hero or Villain Really simple here. A hero (my guy) with whatever you want. A fan, his arch enemy, friend who has no idea about hero. Anything goes for this one as it is my favorite.
~ Human x __________ ((SCI FI)) As with all my plots that blank can hold anything. Alien, human, or anything else. This one is a deserted Island story with a planet instead of an island. Our two characters must learn to work together or die from whatever lurks on the planet.
Time Travel. ~A soldier (my guy) goes back in time to try and fix a disaster but gets more than he bargained for. I can do any time period but I rather like Tudor or ancient times.
WELL SLAP MY ASS AND CALL ME DADDY
I am SO down for either of those. Especially the super one.
