(I wonder if editing counts as a bump?)
location location (as I imagine a bit of the rp will be flash-backy, and or they may return) The Ja'lan live on the isles and lands near the sea, and are renowned for their navy. They're usually in the sea, as much of what they need comes from there. the Ilim live in the plains, and tend to live underneath them, in cities not much unlike those depicted in fantasy games where dwarves live. They're an industrious people. Su'dims live in the south mountain range. Their royalty lives in a castle build on one of the tallest mountains they could find-they're the most religious, tied only by the Ja'lan, and claim that they need to be closest to the sky. They are known for the way they free-run from place to place with ease. lastly, the Ch'auth live in the northern mountains. They live on the tallest mountains in the world, and claim their god/dragon/thing lives in the volcanoes, where the old, weak, frail or condemned make a pilgrimage to die in peace. I'm imagining that among the 4 kingdoms, there is a land beyond the mountain ranges where those who are exiled- or just royals of "vanquished" families- go to hide. The default house relationships are as follows: Ja'lan& Ilim are like siblings Su'dims and ch'auth are archenemies (fighting over land since they were made) ja'lan and sudims get along peachy keen Ilim is neutral to Su'dims and ch'auth but we can change them. I imagine they get sent to the modern-day US- a stark change from the pre-industrial revolution tech (or dawn of the industrial revolution tech, in the case of the Ilim). I figure, the way memories are uncovered are split between the senses. one half of the pair gets sight, and smell exclusively, as the other gets taste and hearing exclusively, though touch is shared. Memories are brought about by items that either came into the world with them, or are almost identical to those items (in the case of food and some other things, I mean. cant eat gross expired food bleh; oh and also songs). I would imagine that they were tethered together loosely or something when they came to the new world (so they wouldn't be too separated), and that they speak a language different from every one else in the new world. ~~~~~~ So, anyone want in? I can write male and female, any role. I'm at least semi-literate.
The prince and princess are from a world not much unlike our own. The land is ruled by four kingdoms, two of which have been in a blood feud from the start of history (will be decided by which kingdom you pick). Each kingdom worships and has taken the name of their own god- the serpent of the seas Ja'lan, the boar of the plains Ilim, the bird of the skies Su'dim, and the dragon of the mountains Ch'auth. The characters that we control are from the two feuding kingdoms, though when they met at the annual Council (their first), they had no idea. Their relationship grows to the point where they escape their world, by seeking the aid of the gods. Their efforts are a success but with a few "minor" drawbacks- they have no memory, and are lost in an alien world. They however can be identified by their family's royal birthmarks, in their eyes. But the time will come when they will need to go back- and that time comes closer with each memory recovered from objects that fell with them, and a few hidden in the town where they fall. (basic house information) The Su'dims have stars in their eyes. Their colours are the blue of the sky and the gold of the sun. The Ja'lan have a trident. colours are the teal of the sea and the purple of their patron serpent. Ilim have the boar's hoofprint in their eyes. colours are the green of the earth and gold that they uncover. The Ch'auth have a lightning bolt. colours are burgundy and the silvers of the fires of the volcanoes they live by. (more in another post)
The year is 2040, and the world has actually achieved what the 60's promised. Robot maids, food at the press of a button, flying cars, utopias above the clouds. There is no disease, no hunger, no one usually suffers. Most everything is artificial, dead, plastic, or all three. There is an occasional war, but nothing much. Life is mundane, however, and boring. Books and games exist and are fun, but they can only do so much, which often leads youth to cause trouble, just to stave off boredom. Global news and conditions that don't effect the people are ignored. The era is the era of Einhal. War has broken out, between the two major kingdoms, and their allies. Magic runs rampant and is used as a tool, and it's extremely similar to . Life being boring is the least of the people's problems, and thus don't go in seek of entertainment, unless they are extremely well off. Those able usually fight in the war, and those that can't try to help the cause when they can. There aren't many places untouched by the war. However, there is an anomaly in the otherwise unconnected worlds. There is a book in each world that serves as a portal- when something is inserted into the binding, it comes out on the other side, in another universe. If something is written on the pages, it appears on the other side. It appears completely out of place- For the futuristic world, it looks old-timey; For the magical world, it appears metallic and stylized. For whatever their reasons, one person from each world stumbles upon the book, and its strange properties, and it turns out, the people in each world are exact copies of those in the alternate world, though their personalities are changed. If one is violent in the first world, the violence is kept inside as only a thought in the other. Strangely enough, if a person gets damaged, their doppelganger gets the same damage when asleep. But the government in the first world is rapidly and insidiously growing, and the story of a book that "leads to a world of doppelgangers and immense power" is spreading in the second- even to the opposition in the war, who will do anything to win. Will the two book owners manage to keep their books safe and create a safe place, or will they be separated once again? Or, will the two books fall into the wrong hands? ~~~~~~~ the alternative title was "Binders fulla' worlds" So, I'm looking for someone, anyone to rp this with me. I prefer longer posts but tbh I need to get back into RPing, like, now. I can play male or female, and for this rp, any world. So, any takers? Anything in this can be changed- especially the worlds
((oh my god. i was gone for a year. I am so sorry. if you want to continue let me know *dies*))
its been way too long since i was able to get on here well, er, I'm back. I feel kinda sh*tty tho cause I think I left some rps open? christ how do i even go about that? do i close the rps or like.... do i have to contact the people and see if they still want to continue? well, anyways, yeah. a hiatus of almost a year is not a good thing. just wanted to let people know I'm back and that i intend to stay back.
