Derek was surprised that his father had woken up. ''Yes, I am'' he said, not giving him mother the chance to explain anything. He climbed onto the bed and into his fathers arms. ''I've always been wondering about you.. I did see the paintings of course but that is so different'' he said. ''Derek?'' Elsbeth said. Derek looked up. ''I am sorry...'' he then whispered.

Elsbeth had gotten a glass of water in the time that Derek climbed upon Mike's lap. ''Here my love.. Try this, it will help with your throat'' she said. ''Derek, could you go and get a nurse or the doctor? And of course Livia and your great great uncle'' she said. Derek nodded and climbed off. ''I shall be as slow as I can so you have time to explain daddy everything!'' he said. ''Thank you my dear, your the greatest man I know'' she said. ''Liar! Daddy is'' he said. ''Second greatest!'' she returned and then he ran off. ''He is such a bunch of energy'' she said and looked at Mike. She stroked some hair away and looked at him. ''Your eyes, they are so beautiful'' she whispered.

Then she started to explain him everything, told him even about the journey she made trough time to learn, understand and grow into a better person. ''Remember that purple dragon that had saved Ant so he wouldn't be caught and told Sasha to get the wild roses?'' she asked. ''That was me.. Disguised as a dragon from that time'' she said and laid a hand on his cheek. ''You have been away for five years.. A lot has happened, a lot has changed.. Draconia is being rebuilt... Our dragon forms still are alive..'' she said. ''You will love to see Tea and Vincent.. They are the descendants from Sasha and Ant'' she said and then gave him another sip of water. ''I am most likely talking too much'' she whispered and stroked over his arm. ''I am so glad, that you are back'' she said.

Vanessa walked in and took of her coat. ''I wonder what they will think of what I have to say'' she said and winked at Gabriel. Of course he knew it already but she was kind of trying to get them a little curious. She then turned around and walked to the livingroom. ''Hey guys, first of all... You all are staying here the night'' she said and smiled.

She saw Thomas his eyes light up and smile. Vanessa then looked at them and waited for a few moments so Gabriel was back in the room too. When he was, she smiled at him. ''And if you guys like the house.. You are all welcome to come and live there'' she said and then looked at them all. ''For free btw, no paying rent'' she added and had not told Gabriel this yet but she kinda wondered how he would react. Robyn walked into the room and smacked Thomas on his head. ''Seems like you had it right boy'' she said, a little sarcastic. ''But then again, we can all see that she is in love with our boss'' she said. This caused Vanessa to blush and grin a little idiotic. ''Oh geez! That was a joke.. is it true?!'' Robyn said, a little shocked. Vanessa walked up to Gabriel and leaned against him. ''Yep'' she simple said and closed her eyes. Everyone started to look at each other and then at Gabriel, they wanted to see if he was in love with her as well.

''If I say, your a dog.. Then you are one'' Vanessa said but her tone was light and joking. ''Drake, you are my Chihuahua!'' she said and laughed. Ralph laughed too and Vanessa teased Drake by sticking out her tongue at him. She then looked at Xaven and smiled. ''I believe that I am learning already and okay.. So Marcus is a loner.. or Omega.. Does that mean that every other wolf in a pack is a beta, except for the Alpha of course'' she said. Ralph nodded. ''Yes, Drake and I have the same rank.. Never misjudge a hour or running around with each other, or trying to let each other trip for pranks and jokes.. We are always kinda fighting for the best place among the Beta's. It will be funny if there would come more wolves'' Ralph said. Vanessa shook her head laughing.

''You mean that Marcus is actually some kind of... Lover boy?'' Vanessa said and raised a brow. Ralph and Drake nodded and then went to help Xaven with the table. That was when the doorbell rang and Vanessa grabbed to a ear. ''Geez.. That sounds loud...'' she said and ran for the door. ''Lesley! Drake didn't like it that you left without him'' Vanessa said. ''So? He left without me'' she said and then walked into the living room carrying a big box. ''There are a few more..'' Lesley said and took a deep breath. Vanessa looked at the boys and smiled a little devilish. ''Guys, can you go fetch those boxes?'' she asked, it didn't sound like a command at all but that was more because she didn't feel like commanding them. Ralph looked at Drake and Drake looked at Ralph, then they walked out the door.

''Be careful with the big box labeled as: Breakable, Vanessa'' Lesley said. Vanessa looked at Lesley and then smiled. ''All the stuff guys, be careful with it'' Vanessa said, still a little louder but she also wanted to test how good they could hear. Lesley sat down and looked at Vanessa. ''There was so much... I never had expected me to have so much printed photo's of myself...'' she said. Vanessa giggled. ''Sorry hunny, but I found three new models.. Or extra models'' she said.

When he told her that he was also in love with her, she blushed. He would easily sense it and she kinda felt embarrassed for it but she couldn't help it. It had been quite a while since she had really been in love, feeling something so great. She then got on her toes again and gave him another kiss. She let this kiss take a little longer of their time and when she let go again she looked at him.

''Shall we go back home?'' she asked after the kiss. Even though she didn't feel the cold when in Gabriel's arms. She didn't want to stay outside too long and she did get some of that fresh air that she wanted.

Elsbeth looked up and Derek fought himself free from his mothers grip. He ran to his father and the last steps he slowed down and then looked at his father. He was a weak man but he knew that this only was for a while. ''Daddy..'' he whispered and got on his knees. ''Great Aunt Yyulatai.. Can we move him to the castle?'' he asked.

When the women had thought about it, she nodded. ''He can be moved but that we must do tomorrow and very very careful.. Today he has to stay on this altar'' she said. ''He might have some trouble remembering you at the first day of waking up. Slowly tell him who you are '' she said, turning to Elsbeth. Elsbeth nodded.

- 3 days later -

Elsbeth knocked on the door and held a tray in her hands, two bowls of soup and some slices of bread where laying on the tray. ''Come in Mom'' Derek said, he had been keeping watch over his father the whole time after they had been able to move him. He even had wanted to stay that one night in the temple but Elsbeth had told him that it was too dangerous. ''He was awake for a moment.. Or he talked in his sleep.. He was talking about Jania and Anna'' he said. ''And two minutes ago he said your name Mommy.. For the first time'' Derek whispered. ''I think he is dreaming.. I do lay my hand in his sometimes and tell him that his son is here'' he said. ''Don't worry my boy, he will remember you'' she said and laid a hand on his shoulder. ''Come, eat something with me'' Elsbeth said and had placed the tray on the table in the room. It was Mike's old room, from his youth that he stayed in.

''What if he wakes up?'' Derek asked. ''Then he probably is hungry'' Elsbeth said. ''Then we should get something to eat for him.. Something light'' Derek said and before Elsbeth could stop him, he ran of to the kitchen. Elsbeth got up and walked to the bed, she sat down on the edge. ''He is so determined to be the one seeing you wake up..'' Elsbeth said and placed a wet cloth on Mike's forehead. ''Two days straight now he is sitting here... The first evening he fell a sleep with his head on the bed, he had been praying the whole time.. When I came to see how he was doing, how both of you were doing I just couldn't take him to his own room.. You will probably think that I am spoiling him too much'' she said with a soft giggle. ''He now sleeps at the end of your bed. So you have enough space'' she said and stroke some hair from Mike's face. ''He looks so much like you..I saw a painting of you on his age... You two could have been a twin Mike.. A female soldier said that he has your looks and my heart..'' she whispered and laid her hand on Mike's cheek. ''Please honey.. Wake up...'' she whispered right when Derek came back inside with a tray, on it was another bowl of soup and bread. Derek placed the tray on the small table next to the bed. ''Look Daddy, your favorite soup..'' he said.

Vanessa smiled as he said they would stay and she then also got sucked into his eyes. She moved a little closer, laid her hands on his chest and then laid her head on his chest. This little movement made this moment even more intimate for two people that claimed to be just friends. ''I hope that you guys will like the other house.. I would really like it if you guys would stay with me there..'' she whispered.

She closed her eyes and enjoyed the warmth from his body, she had forgotten about the chilly night already but now even felt more comfortable. She looked up after a short moment and looked in his brown eyes, she then slowly got on her toes and gave him a light kiss on his lips. Their lips only touched for a second, most likely even less but it gave her a good feeling, and looked at him. ''It might sound crazy but I think that I am in love'' she said. ''In love.. with a very special person.. With brown hair, and half long, slight curling hair.. Who protected me without asking something back for it..'' she whispered and kept looking at him with her brown eyes.

''It is our day, we decide this both.. And this is far from my home. I am the youngest, being married to the strongest vampire doesn't mean I suddenly become the head of this house'' Rose said. She then looked at his mother. ''Mistress Tepes?'' she asked. ''Oh honey, that is now your name.. You are married to the head master of our household..'' she said and got up. ''My husband was a man with a temper, we always told him to calm down..'' she said and walked to the two.

''But I personally don't want to ruin your day, we do not have to laugh but lets enjoy that cake and some good blood'' she said. ''And then move to our house with the body of our late head master'' Miss Tepes said. Rose nodded and looked at Vlad. ''Are you okay with that?'' she asked.

Elsbeth and Derek started to do the same as Livia did. They folded their hands and together wife / mother and son praid for the recovery and survival of Mike. They also kept remembering their own memories about Mike, in the hope he could also see those memories.

''Please Mike.. please'' Elsbeth whispered. ''Come back.. We need you..'' she whispered and kept saying it. Derek started to follow her lead. ''Please Daddy... Please..'' he said. ''Come back.. We need you..''.

Elsbeth looked up, seeing the dragon form and a tear of joy rolled over her cheek. Derek saw it too and he wanted to go to the dragon but his mother stopped him. ''Derek no.. not yet'' she whispered and Derek nodded. They looked how the psychical body slowly formed more and started to became real. ''Derek... look'' Elsbeth whispered but didn't have too, Derek was watching. He looked how he slowly got his father back and all he wanted was run to the body and hug it.

''Daddy'' he whispered. Elsbeth smiled and held her son against her, so he wouldn't run to Mike before he had fully returned.

Rose looked at him and nodded. She was surprised but also honored. ''Yes, I will help you'' she said and laid her hands on his chest. ''Did you.. wanna cancel the party down stairs?'' she then asked. Being their wedding party or not, if he wanted it, she would tell her father to send everyone home. She laid her head against his chest and closed her eyes.
