If Deimos is interested, Melvin will explain his life story off-camera (which is covered in his bio) to make up for the rest of their night. I don't want to clog the story up with lengthy exposition when things will be gradually revealed as we go along. Plus I want it to be morning soon so some folks can get moving as well.
"I'm not as neanderthal as I look," Melvin replied dully. "I'm fully aware of how similar our kinds are, and that you know my situation as well as I know yours. Hell, I was born half-elf just like you. What caused me to become like this..."

He addressed his hideous physical features with a harsh gesture.

"... Is the driving force behind my actions. If you want to know more, you have to guarantee me one thing - that you won't report me to the Sect, as well as Sord's shogun and daimyos, who are all nothing more than the Sect's puppet rulers for this nation anyway. I won't force you to join my cause, but I am demanding your silence. A fairly simple request, no? If you're still interested, then come with me this way."

Melvin turned around and walked towards a portion of ground with a nondescript rock lying nearby. He set the rock aside to reveal a handle, which he pulled up to pry open a hidden trapdoor with a series of rotting wood steps leading down into a dark cavern. He lifted two of his fingers up and lit the fingertips like a candle, lighting the way down for Deimos.

"As you can see, my appearance makes it impossible for me to mingle with Izumo's townsfolk, so I can't book any rooms at an inn or anything. Consider yourself lucky that you can get by with hiding your ears and wearing an eyepatch."
It should end pretty fast, as soon as Melvin & Deimos meet and Lumen's group reaches Izumo to alert the authorities.
"Really?" Lin wondered. "If it's a new location within your zone, it must mean there's been a shift in your thought processes. Zones always react to changes in a dreamer's mental patterns, although whether that's good or bad remains to be seen."

Hez continued walking ahead of the others, approaching an upside-down teacup that had a significant chip on its side. She was just small enough to squeeze through the chip like it was an entrance. Upon reaching inside, she created a small light to illuminate the dark space. To her surprise, the inside was lined with broken ceramic fragments, bloody handprints, and some deep red writing that eerily drooled below it. It was almost like this was the scene of a murder, but no bodies or weapons could be found. Hez stared at the writing with vapid fascination...

It was those three letters again. Just like the last fridge-dungeon, those symbols popped out at her. Did anyone else know about them? What were their significance? Could it be a clue to why certain people were able to reach Vivi-Dream and not others? Hez had neglected to say anything about the previous letters to Lin because of how frantic things were. This time, she wondered if it was worth mentioning it when they were busy trying to help Alice. She didn't want to stray her friends too far off from their objective, so she silently exited the teacup-murder scene and rejoined Lin.

"You were in there for quite a while," the one-eyed girl said as she finished examining a right-side-up cup that had nothing remarkable. "Did you find anything?"

Hez shook her head. She opted to keep quiet about her findings for now until their job was finished.
Sorry if I don't post quickly. I also started another RP and it's been surprisingly active, so I'm micromanaging that as well. Gimme a moment and I'll have my post up.
Kilphy could use any help she could get.
it's not anyone's fault for the quadrupedal posts.
the site bugged & shut down.

Ahhh. That would explain it. I was fast asleep during that. I would appreciate a little [DUPLICATE POST] notice for those who made doubles by mistake.

i am working on my post but should I portray the authorities?
I don't want to overstep my boundaries as i am relatively new at this group rp deal. ><'

You can make some unimportant NPCs as knights, although since this is Sord, they need to have some samurai qualities to match the country's oriental theme. Sord would be equivalent to feudal Japan with some dashes of middle age Europe.

Ok Sord's Capital: Mecanizada

Location: Inside of where Argentina would be and on the east most point that is next to the ocean. (It is about half way up Argentina if you were to start from the bottom and make your way north.)

Updated Glazend's map on the front page to include Mecanizada. I situated it as best as I could while giving it a prime 'capital'-like spot. Its current spot should let it maintain a naval military and should have enough land for farms to the west. On the real S.A. map, it'd be where Viedma is. For future reference, if you guys want me to add locations, give me a South American country, a city or two and a rough idea of the land structure. That should help me add it more accurately.
“Don’t worry, I’m here to help.” Deimos droned darkly to Melvin alone with a sadistic smile, as if she was a villain herself. Nothing she said would give clear signals whether her intentions would be negative or in their favor, the words conflicting with her eerie tone.
Melvin frowned even harder - he had no idea she also possessed a Lorelei Thauma until now. Was this a ruse of her own? The vaguely sinister tone in her voice didn't help the dark elf clue in to her real intentions either. It was like she enjoyed toying with his suspicions. He had to find out what the hell she wanted with him before deciding to kill her.

He concentrated on his Lorelei Thauma and intoned to Deimos, "Meet me at the stable near the abandoned barn. Don't follow too closely or you'll be mistaken for an accomplice."

"Hey, whoa, whoa, whoa! Dude, why the hell did you just say that to her!?" his buddy exclaimed. "You're practically admitting to the arson now!"

"Fuck it. The chick has a Lorelei Thauma too, so she heard me say stuff about 'keeping our ruse up'. As long as she cooperates, it won't matter - the important thing is to deceive the authorities. Hell, she looked to be a half-elf as well. Even if she ratted us out to the knights, I bet they wouldn't take her seriously on account of her race and that she doesn't have any hard evidence of our involvement."

"But I was going to tell the knights about the arson, even though I'm a half-elf."

"That's different. You're performing your duty as a citizen to alert them and possibly save some lives."

"I guess so..."

Melvin looked back at the burning temple... or rather, formerly burning temple. He noticed that the flames had died out by now, but he thought the blaze would have lasted longer than that. Someone must have stopped by and extinguished it during their escape.

"On second thought, don't bother. Someone do-gooder's come by to save the temple. They'll probably tell the knights for us. Let's just head straight back to the cellar and intercept this chick for now," Melvin said. With that, the horseman guided the horse around a bend and over some small hills until a dilapidated barn came into view. Even in the late night darkness, the structure had seen better days. Once upon a time, it was a successful wheat barn until the soil ran out of nutrients and the farmers opted to abandon the place. Melvin and his crew used it as one of their many temporary bases across Sord, but with the destruction of Izumo's temple, he doubted they would be staying here for much longer.

The cart reached the barn and stopped. The small group got out and the equestrian got his horse inside the stable. Melvin waited in the abandoned fields, now teeming with grass, weeds and wild flowers, until Deimos would find him.
Clean up those multiple posts, folks. It's untidy and confusing as hell.

I let TurboTuber have Anton sleep until the next day as a preliminary timeskip until we get things sorted out. I want the night to end with Melvin and Deimos meeting at his little hideout, while Lumen and the others can report to Izumo's authorities and find an inn. I don't want the night to last forever here.
Melvin sat back and gave an annoyed huff. "Wasn't expecting something like that."

"You think she'll follow us?" his buddy wondered worriedly.

"No way," the horseback rider joked. "That chick was hot, but even she wouldn't want to put up with the boss when he's in a foul mood."

"Shut it," Melvin snapped. His friends chuckled at his expense as he stared afar. Thanks to his Lorelei Thauma, he was able to pick up sounds that those without one would otherwise miss. Thus, Melvin's keen sense of hearing allowed him to catch the galloping of Deimos' horse in the distance. The dark elf frowned and narrowed his eyes.

Maybe she didn't buy that story I fed her...

"What's wrong, man?" the rider asked. "I know you're eager to get back to base before the authorities catch up to us, but it won't do you any good to be so tense."

"Sorry, but we can't go straight back to the cellar. That woman is following us."

"Seriously!? Wouldn't she be just heading back to Izumo like we are?"

"Her horse is running parallel to us, and its pace is the same as ours. If she wanted to go to Izumo on her own, she would've definitely beaten us to it."

"Bloody hell... What should we do?"

Melvin spit off to the side and muttered, "As much as I hate having to help the Sect, we need to keep our ruse up 'til we shake her off. One of us will report to the authorities. I sure as hell can't since I'm so freaky-looking - societ as a whole already rejects half-elves, and don't get me started on what they'd do to dark elves like me."

"I'll do it," his half-elf friend offered. "I've become drinking buddies with a few of the constables in Izumo. You two can head back to the stables first."

"Sounds good. We're only getting started with our manifesto, so we can't afford any slip-ups at this time."
