“In light of the recent news that Prussia has revealed the true articles of the Treaty of Constantinople leaves one both unnerved and baffled. The Old Powers seem to think that they can decide what truly is in best interest of the Americas, yet they can’t even seem to decide what’s best for themselves without some sort of conflict coming to pass. Now these petty squabbles have broken out into an open conflict that seems to be dragging the entire continent into despair. I will make it a point to do so like our brothers in South America to allow for those seeking to escape from the destruction that is about to befall Europe. The Mexican-Swedish Trade Pact

Article I

The United Mexican States and the United Kingdoms of Sweden and Norway shall agree to a mutually beneficial trade agreement. Both nations shall welcome each other's merchants into her ports in order to promote trade and friendship between the two nations. In exchange for advising Mexico's industrialization and reformations in education, Sweden shall receive natural resources.

Article II

This treaty shall remain valid for five (5) years. Once the fifth year has ended, this treaty is hereby dissolved:

Article III

This treaty shall be dissolved once the above condition is completed However, once that condition is completed, both nations who signed this treaty may opt for extend this treaty for an additional five years. After every five years, Sweden and Mexico may continue to renew this treaty as long as both sides agree to the terms. Alternatively, Sweden and Mexico may also draft a new treaty that would provide a more permanent trade agreement.

Article IV

By signing this treaty, the signatories (each of the two nations who sign this treaty) agrees to uphold everything that has been detailed above. Furthermore, if one of the nations wishes to dissolve the treaty before the five (5) year term is up (see Article III), that nation must give the other a 1 year notice due to travel distance and the need of rerouting merchant fleets. If one of the signatories breach the terms of agreement without giving the other a 1 year notice, the breaching party must cover all losses caused by the wasted trip of the other nation's merchant vessels.
