@Hammerman Its going to be interesting now that you took that tone with Eden. Just, whatever you do, don't point a weapon at one of Ilias's standards. Think of the civilians.
@Hammerman The Great Wall of Text of The Divine Goddess Ilias descends upon the Kingdom of Ancent of Mankind. Rejoice.
Visible in the distance from the Kingdom of Ancent's outlying territories, a brilliantly shining four-pointed star flew across the heavens at a significant pace, leaving a lengthy trail of shimmering white light in its wake. The clouds it passed through scattered, and the very light of the sun-band in the sky seemed dim by comparison.

The first few notes of faint, heavenly singing could already by heard by the people on the ground.

The Angels have arrived.
Seraph Eden
The Grand General of Heaven

As it approached the ground, the comet of divine light seamlessly disintegrates and takes on its true appearance, a tight formation of hundreds of shining, angelic figures. The Angels descend, like galaxy brought to earth and led by a star that shone brighter than the whole of the host combined. A joyful hymn fills the air in all directions, words of life-bringing and heavenly, maternal love striking the hearts of all who listened.

Even across the great distance that remained, the firm voice of the leading star could be heard clearly. "Banners, raise!"

By now, the shapes of the individual Angels were clearly visible. Those in the front ranks directly preceding the head Angel each carries a great banner, showing Ilias's divine image in excruciating detail. When the banners are lifted, the vast majority of the procession stops with only those Angels closest to the ground approaching the crowd that had inevitably gathered below.

They form ranks behind Eden, who stops ten feet above the ground, one hand firmly on her spear and the other seemingly resting on an the same imaginary surface she seemed to be "sitting" on. She addresses the mortals below, not with her usual tone, but one that seemed to carry with it the very image of the true, and benevolent Goddess that she served.

"Oh, great Human Kingdom. Our Divine Mother Ilias has sent us out in search of true, righteous folk, so that we might unite under one banner and stand as one against the Darkness. Do not be alarmed by our weapons and numbers, this is a delegation of peace. We come in our Goddess's name, in hopes that you might answer her call and accept her Light into your hearts."

She stood as a dauntless figure at the head of an army of Angel warriors, but the look on her face was one of kindness. The musical tones coming from the Angelic choir above had subdued while she spoke, but even now they were still audible all across the surrounding region, despite the distance. The final formation that the Angels settled was one of many interlacing halos, those furthest up gently circling, while those closer to the ground stood motionless, ready to respond in an instant to Eden's commands.

Of those visible, the Angels immediately behind Eden were the most ornately dressed. They wore pure white garments of flowing fabric, accented with gold in places that matched perfectly with the golden locks of hair on their heads. Each held with one arm a great banner, while the other was placed gently at the sheathe for a blade at their side. Further back, formations of green-haired women in similar white dresses stood stilly and in perfect formation, twenty in front with swords at their hips, and twenty in the back with quivers of arrows and bows in hand.

In the sky, where the Angels circled and sang, many different looking Angels could be spotted. Some were lithe, like girlish statues in Ilias's image and carrying a wide variety of weapons. Others were more voluptuous, regarding the people below with unusual interest. In their hands, they held whips, and nets, and chains. Tools for subduing, not for killing.

Most of the Host, it seemed, consisted of the green-haired style of Angel, who seemed most serious out of the rest of their sisters. Notably, while all of them were winged none of them seemed to actually need to flap their wings to fly, instead simply floating as they willed through the sky. They did not falter from wind, and their presence seemed to push away clouds, leaving the area clear, and sunlit.

Finally, at the very greatest heights of the Angel's formation, the warriors did not stand as still as those below. Their eyes were not on the ground, but rather, in each direction, carefully scanning the horizon and the sprawling plains below in search of threats. The eyes of Heaven must be ever-vigilant against the Darkness. If peace was to be forged here, they would have to be careful, every step of the way.

As for threats from the Humans... the Angels in the lower circles would handle that. That was their job, after all.
But anyways, I have been busy meditating on a mountaintop in an effort to become one with Ilias. (Please don't tell the cops.)

Hopefully, my delegation of angels should be arriving at the Kingdom of Ancent sometime later tonight or early tomorrow morning. By my time.

"But that was all according to my plan, obviously. There's no way a pathetic, weak, lolicon fake hero would beat me just like that. And anyways, he cheated by bringing Michaela into it. HMPH~!"
There are far kinder ways to say "We didn't need a bump" than that...Though I'll give you the pregnancy joke, that was good.

Being kind is a job for heretics and fake heroes, who have to make up for their lack of innate worth with acts of meaningless benevolence. I am above that.

This post genuinely stimulates me on an intellectual level. Why does he put the star there, right at the beginning? We can't infer tone, due to the lack of punctuation, but I'd like to think he's posing this as a sort of subtle hint. Something he wants us to know, and expects us to be able to figure out on our own. Interesting...

Act, are you pregnant?
Hey, political map seems a little off. Shouldn't Ilias have dominion over all creation? Might want to fix that before we confuse any newcomers.
Put up my first post in all of its unedited ugliness. Look upon it and lament the fact that you were born with eyes. Now it's time to sleep~
Heaven

All throughout the camp, the remaining divine children of Ilias sat and murmered in a solemn hush, not daring to disturb the fragile atmosphere that was hanging around the entire encampment. <An encampment>, huffs the reclining figure in the center of the crowd as she examines the remnants of her tattered host. Were she in her complete form, she would disintegrate the lot of them for dishonoring Heaven with this... barbaric display of failure.

"Unacceptable. Can't you see that your whining is affecting God's mood?" Pointing out towards the shimmering border of light that designated the edge of Ilias's sanctuary, she barks her orders to the rest of the Angels on the ground. "I don't think you've patrolled the perimeter nearly enough times. Another one thousand rotations ought to suffice. Go, and leave your Goddess in peace, lest she strike you down where you stand!"
The Angels sulked, but perhaps out of an even mix of loyalty and fearfulness, they lift up from their various resting places and head out to the light boundary, eyes scanning their surroundings. At the rear of their ranks, an armoured figure nods her head one last time in deference and flies out to meet with her subordinates outside.

And finally, her space was quiet.

Letting out a lengthy sigh, Ilias gets up from her position on her makeshift throne (Eden's lap) and moves so that she was at eye-level with the Node's lowest branches. She does not speak, appearing deep in thought about matters only a Goddess should be concerned about. Uncomfortable with the silence (partially because she felt it was her fault), Eden addresses the tree-like structure musingly.

"Whatever heretical energies fuel this... "Node", I am glad that we came across it when we did. I would not like to be stranded in this strange, forsaken realm without the slightest touch of your Divine radiance. This," she gestures to the surrounding field of light, "will at least keep you safe, my Goddess. Until we can muster the strength to purge this world of those Monsters once and for all-"

"Eden." Ilias speaks firmly, silencing her subordinate in an instant. Then, thinking better of it, she turns to Eden with an expression of affectionate guidance. "Come closer, and listen to the special task I have decided to assign to you." Beckoning the divine general closer, she lightly caresses the side of Eden's face with carefully disguised disgust. "You will personally lead your scouts to the lands of the humans that were spotted nearby. I would like for you to impress upon them the grace and divine might of Heaven. Do not return to me until they have praised my name aloud. Do as I say, and I will forgive your... difficulties, earlier."

Eden pauses for a minute, savouring the sensation of her God's hand upon her cheek, before pulling away and faithfully pressing her hands together in prayer. "You honour me with your mercy, my Goddess. I will go, and be the herald of your arrival to the humans. I swear on my name that I will not fail you in this. Thank you."

And with this Eden, too, departs from the radius of light that surrounded Ilias's seat of power. Finally alone, Ilias punches the side of the Node in frustration. It was pathetic. All of them were pathetic. Of all the servants she could have been blessed with, she got that stupid, worthless Third. And Promestein. She just knew that at this very moment that filthy heretic was plotting behind her back. The only reason they weren't at each other's throats already was that Promestein was hopelessly outmatched. And Ilias intended to keep it that way. No matter how much that child begged, she would never give up the Node to her, not even for a second. It was her only remaining trump card, amidst the garbage.

So absorbed as she was in her fuming, the Goddess barely noticed in time that somebody else had entered her sanctum. Righting herself before her outburst could be noticed, she turns to face her new visitor with a serene smile on her face...

"Ah, Promestein. Just who I was looking for."
