@Marrow Welcome! you have quite a few characters there, thought about becoming a Co-GM? That way we could use a number of your ideas for Espada.

@Raineh Daze@malmshodes My rule on inactivity certainly wont be as harsh as culling people if they hold up a fight for a while. Also I would think that anyone whom wants to stay in the RP but will be inactive for a while would definitely voice themselves, if that happens and they are involved in a current scene then I'd simply ask either A: Can people wait for their return (Depending on how long they will be gone) Or B: if they would be alright with their character exiting current events till they return.
There will be no instant character kill offs, people will have more than ample chance to explain/recoup from absences.

Whilst the voting for which CS wins would be somewhat rare (it would only occur when we get multiple CS' for a Captain/power) I can see that people aren't overly keen, maybe it would just be an needless feature? For now I'll say that the voting idea is out and we shall stick to the GM/Co-GM judging process.

@malmshodes I'll try to provide a CS skeleton in the new Int.Check that I'm posting tomorrow. It will be a little different than most skeletons but I would be fine with people reformatting or rearranging it as well as simply turning in a regular CS if the one I provide is a little uncomfortable for them.
In fact if nobody likes it I'll just replace it with a normal one.

I've written a rule in my OOC about posting standards, I haven't yet included any clauses about when inactive people will be culled but I might.
So I've been building the OOC today and have it tucked away in my PMs. What I'm thinking is that tomorrow I'll make a new, second Interest check that's a bit more developed. There we might get a little more interest and also it gives me a chance at finding a Co-gm to help me with all this.

Finally I have questions for you all too. Firstly what does everyone think about the choose winner beforehand rule? also how would people feel if I put it up to a vote when multiple people apply for the same Captain? as in everyone involved would get to vote which CS they think is better, that way its not down to my personal preference and we can all choose the characters that fit the RP.
@Blackbeard Like crimson I have a previously created Captain char who has a dual wield. It's more for aesthetic as the actual power of the zanpakutou doesn't depend on the weapon itself. For clarification it's a pair of tonfa and I just find wielding only one off putting. Though I may have a work around if necessary.

For the record I'd be fine with people carting around two swords for aesthetics if they only actually use one...wait...lets not have everybody doing that either...but I'd be much more lenient about it

I can see why only wielding the one Tonfa would be silly. If you are determined to use said character, or at least the Zanpakuto that character had then thats fine, it's going to be a shoot off for which is better. If you're happy to change to the standard single blade then that would be just dandy.

Also note that there will be no 'reserving' of characters. So if I do get two CS's for the same Captain then it would also be a measure of which is better. However I'd say that people wishing to do so should voice themselves early as I would not be looking to usurp someone already accepted, even if a better CS came along for the same position.

I'd also like to pose something. Bleach RPs boil down to one thing. Awesome fights of utter badassery that your head explodes with sheer excitement amirite? However having said that, this isn't the arena.

I propose that whilst fights will be incredibly common and the focal point of driving plot forward, that the winner of said fight shall be decided BEFOREHAND. This includes any fights with NPC's. I'm here to create a story and to make it awesome, not to inflate my ego by pretending I'm a better literary fighter on the interwebs. Please do not enter this RP with the intention of winning, intend to participate. You'll have a much better time.

Ooo lightning sounds good. I very very very much enjoy it when people take simple concepts or abilities, and use them in new and interesting ways. To me a man whom can shoot a lightning bolt is ten times more enjoyable to read about and interact with than a man whom can warp realities and the 'void' of all his special-ness to do his dark biddings. A simple yet well written Zanpakuto is to die for.

I've never heard the term "snowflake syndrome", but it applies. Only, why not call it an "avalanche syndrome" because it's the amount of snowflakes that cause all the problems?

Speaking of restrictions do you have any limits for inventions, and/ or custom Kido?

Ooh! Speaking of which, how about a CS skeleton? It helps me figure out what kind of character I'm going to do? ^.^

Inventions and custom Kido huh. I have much less worry about such things than the other restrictions noted however I would tend to think that a character whom does invent or create Kido would be something akin to the Squad 12 Captain, the research division. If a character like that had his own inventions or possibly even Kido (Not too many though) then it would make sense. What I would be wary of is every dick, tom and harry having their own specialized Kidos/inventions. So to that I would say yes they are most definitely allowed for the right characters.

EDIT: Oh I almost missed the CS skeleton thingy. I won't be throwing one out so soon but what I will say is that it won't be heavy duty. I'd like the RP to be a high-casual kind of writing with quality over quantity. CS' whilst sometimes great can more often than not end up being laborious tasks that sap the enthusiasm out of players. For this reason what I'll say is that the Zanpakuto and abilities section will be the main focus of the CS'. If you want to create a whole novel of backstory? so be it, some people thrive on that and it can be really cool, but for the most part it will be a low-key CS with the intent being that you all develop and show your characters personalities and possibly even histories in the RP itself via interaction with other players.

I'm glad you do! I've only ever seen the first episode of fairy tail. Wasn't really my thing, but simply by the name slayer I think I get the gist of what they are.
@Crimson Raven Oh totally. The problem would arise if multiple others wanted dual Zanpakuto as well. If nobody else does then your all good if they do then either it would be best character wins or I'd make an exception (If both characters were excellent). I'm not saying that nobody can have these rare powers, I'm just making sure they stay rare.
@IceHeart I don't want your decision to help Co-gm be the result of not wanting to play as a Shinigami. Co-Gms will need to be passionate about building an RP and creating a really cool story for everyone to enjoy. It will be quite different than simply joining an RP, as I've said its more akin to running a D&D Game, in which you wont have your own character but will set out the scenarios for the players (although a Co-gm might grow to love one of the NPC hollows they control like a character).
I just wanted to make that clear, if people ask to be co-gm's simply to be Hollows instead this RP won't last very long.

I hope you do join though Ice! Shinigami aren't all that bad :P
@Crimson Raven Yes Bleach RP's have a habit of dying, that's why I'm trying something different in an attempt to keep this one going!

Now this is where I might kill the RP before it starts. Throughout every Bleach RP I've been part of (which was quite a few back in the day) what I call 'snowflake syndrome' was absolutely rife. Snowflake Syndrome is the notion that everyone wants their character to be the series special little snowflake and so they have all the strange and rare powers, to the degree that these kinds of characters would often end up becoming the majority (I was in an RP where the Gotei 13 was more Vizard than regular Shinigami). As such! I will be severely limiting stuff like that, I hope this doesn't scare people off!

As I've already explained everyone will be part of the Gotei 13. That means no Quincies, no Bounts, no Fullbringers and to be honest I'd very much prefer there to be no Vizards either. It's just Shinigami vs Hollows, back to the good 'ol days. What I am willing, and even encouraging is high ranks. I'm hoping that everyone who joins will make a Captain of the Gotei 13 (Excluding the Captain Commander for now) and will have the option of making a secondary character of Lieutenant or slightly lower rank if they so wish (Although I was thinking if you do have a secondary character they can't be in the same squad as your captain, to encourage interaction and differing characters etc)

On top of this I'm looking to restrict other rare powers namely dual Zanpakuto and the generational prodigy. In Bleach dual Zanpakuto are incredibly rare and the fact two Captains had them was unheard of. Secondly the young prodigy only came about once in a generation, Gin was the prodigy and Hitsugaya is now. Going by these rarity standards in the universe I'm thinking I'd only let one Prodigy and one Captain to wield Dual Zanpakuto in. There can be exceptions if you make an amazing character but I'd like to keep to those limits.
I'd really like to hear from those whom have expressed interest about these rules/guidlines whatever you may call them. I realize they could seem harsh but I've chosen to do so for good reason, most prominently to hopefully keep this RP alive for a long time.

As a final note what I'll say is whilst I stand by all that I've said, I am saying not now. I'm not saying never. In future arcs if the RP could utlize it well then I'd definitely be open to including some of the rarer powers or perhaps even races. Quincies could be the focus of another arc for instance?
I do loathe Bounts and Fullbringers though, so if anyone is holding their breath in anticipation of making either, please don't.
