@rush99999 You can expect them back online for the next round of contracts (3-6 months)

President Korvig

I believe a congratulations is in order to the companies involved in the Koatev Bug Hunt operation. The mission is getting coverage on a colonial scale. I expect its only a matter of time before the Navy takes notice and sends us some prime contracts in the Helix Nova System. Good work, people!

For now I have some new contracts for you, commanders. Also I was in attendance at the Syntas Convention on Earth, and I'm pleased to say it was an impressive show. Their new catalog should be published soon, so I won't spoil the surprise. Let's just say Syntas had a focus on recon operations this convention.

Good day, Commanders.

I think what I'll start doing is give contracts a base rate for participating, then bonuses for certain objectives, kills, etc, so that there is incentive to contribute more forces, but there still will be lucrative contracts and bidding wars.

Marshall Ricks

Howdy y'all. That was one hell of a fight if I do say so myself. Never seen so many bugs in all my life, but y'all sure did handle yourselves nicely. Words getting around quick. Already had the governor stop by the moon for some PR bullshit. Word is the BCG wants to set up some hunting tour to lure in tourist creds, for now I've been given a strict no insecticide order beyond Koav's Landing. Can you believe that? Bunch of damn fools.

Anyway, in case y'all curious, I found Murl this morning. Him and his boys were dead. Bugs dragged them into the foothills and chowed down, and I can't do shit about it unless I want to kiss this job goodbye. At least I can still deal with those damn runners. I'll get those sons-a-bitches if its the last thing I do. I'll talk to the higher ups see about getting some contracts out.

Sure appreciate the help. Y'all have a real good day, ya hear!

Mission: Bug Hunt
Time: 00:45, 2995.11.15

Debrief
Federation forces entered the Bernard's Star System at 0645 U.T. and proceeded to Koatev orbit. Aerial recon commenced discovering an attacked convey around the Broen foothills with bugs being traced back into the mountains. Forces searched tylium mines in the mountains and found scattered bugs and a derelict hive.

At approximately 2005 U.T. a sinkhole emerged in the settlement of Koave's Landing, the apparent result of insectoid tunneling beneath the settlement. Bugs emerged and at 2005 colonial militia forces dispatched a distress call to Federation forces.

By 2030 U.T. Federation forces made landfall in Koave's Landing, linking up with militia forces in the city. The joint forced advanced on the bugs and made contact at 2105 U.T. rescuing a militia squad in distress. A NCBW tank flanked the insectoids and attacked from the south, while Manny's Mechs took the brunt of a frontal assault.

As of 2300 insectoids were driven back to the hole. Using mechs as frontline troops with flamethrowers proved effective in reducing the number of troop casualties, as did the establishment of a triage. NCBW flanking the bugs successfully aided greatly in the battle, and drew bugs to the fight that might otherwise have gone deeper into the city. LMG providing air support allowed for greater tactical maneuvers on the ground, and increased offensive capabilities of the operation.

At approximately 2330 U.T. Federation forces engaged insectoids within the tunnel, having located the hive and the queen. Insectoid forces, incapable of effectively countering Federation mechs, tanks, and air, retreated into the tunnel and defended the queen. Without support, marines were vulnerable, but effectively killed the queen and the insectoid remnants.

Mission Accomplished!
Manny's Mechs and Nought Contracted Bio Warfare to each be awarded a sum of 3,000mc.
Casualties: 10 Troopers, 2 Mechs

@BlackBishop

Maybe you could give us more than 2 hours to give our guys commands next time?

My bad. Had a hard time picturing anything other then "get in the hole" so breezed ahead to the last leg of the mission. We'll be wrapping up this mission today. Expect a debrief later today. If you have any parting orders for your troops as they enter the queens chamber go ahead.

Copy that, Manny. I'll have them there in a jiffy.

Mission: Bug Hunt
Time: 23:15, 2995.11.14

23:15 <ERIS> SITREP: Our forces have driven back the bugs from the conservatory. Mechs, equipped with flamethrowers, scorched the incoming bugs and were positioned upon the front with infantry taking up the rear. A NCBW biotank defended the southern flank and engaged a group of insectoid soldiers, driving them back.

23:15 <ERIS> Troops have suffered five casualties and two mechs have been lost. Ten wounded are being treated at Koave Square. Colonial Militia have suffered ten casualties, and have twenty wounded being treated at the triage.

23:15 <ERIS> Our forces have established a perimeter at the sink hole. Preliminary scans indicate a tunnel network beneath the settlement of an unknown size. Be advised, tunnels are ill-suited to mechs. Recommend infantry take the lead.
