@RoflsMazoy It's not like actual metallurgy is being used here, since you just want to handwave the crafting process. So it probably won't matter about following the actual crafting of a good sword. The character's technique would follow a different path and have a different progression. The sword might as not as good for poking in things but it's nice at swinging. Lots of ways to use a sword.

Merch looked skywards as the lamp-monster was fleeing away. He dramatically pointed towards the smoke and yelled, "JUST GET BACK HERE BEFORE THE CAMERA CREW GETS HERE!" The hero's attention was drawn away by the fact the monster who needed to lose on camera was fleeing away, and by the fact another fighter already drew out a weapon!

Behind the stoic expression of an expressionless mask, there was an astonished expression. Merch shook his head, before grumbling out something. It was when he looked back up he saw that the swarm of generic monsters were close upon him again.

"Look!" Merch tried to speak towards the probably mindless monsters, as he swung another over-emphazed jab ones getting closer. "Can't we wait until the cameras get here?" Merch let loose another couple of exaggerated swings.

Perhaps this wouldn't get through to them. Perhaps he needed to speak the language of their people to get them to realize the benefits for both him and them to postpone the fight until some reporters got here.

"EEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" Merch screeched out as he extended both arms and began swirling around in a spastic circle, before stumbling down from the dizziness.
Sir Eglamour of Artois' trek was nearly complete, yet the journey had yet to even begun. While it might not have been a literal journey, though it wasthe metaphorical journey involving the conquering of the dragon mother and returning this kingdom back to being ruled over by the faeries. The knight drew out his short-sword and his shield, ready to defeat the foul and horrible monsters that were surely lying in wait for him.

But as he dawned upon the castle, there were a few things odd. Notably the castle doors were open. And another strange factor was the fact that there didn't seem to be a draw-bridge or moat for basic defense. Adding onto these weird conundrums was the fact that there didn't appear to be any archers of any sort upon the parapets.

Uncouthli this castel be. Paraventure the dragoun slaughtered all thy citiseins. Sir Eglamour of Artois thought to himself. Nevertheless despite all of these strange things, the knight charged upon his noble steed into the castle. As his horse bucked up letting out a mighty war neigh, and spreading dirt and other muck to the floor below, Sir Eglamour pointed his sword forwards at the strange group of individuals that clearly served the dragon of this castle.

"HARK FOU-" the knight found himself interrupted by a realization. There was a fishman walking about with these foreigners. Sir Eglamour knew what this creature was. His horse slammed its hooves back down as Eglamour sheathed his sword and shield.

Dismounting from his horse, the knight got down upon both of his knees and clasped his gauntlets together in prayer. After this silence he turned towards Harvey and began to speak, his voice solemn.

"Foryeven mine hastif acciouns. I was nought iwar that a Bishop-fish, a holimanne like ye, would be techyng thine lessouns here." He kept his position before he continued on. "Mine sword shan't be unshethen til ye seien elles in consentinge."
@BringBack1996 Safe to say the knight probably also reached it by now?
Oh yes, I did see that. But Ken started a good way away from me, and Sir Eglamour (or Sir Adventurous) is on horseback, plus he probably didn't meander that much in conversation before getting back on horseback.

He'd still probably be chasing at this point.
It had appeared that the mother of these beasts had captured the castle of the current lord of this section of the otherworld. Well that knowledge made his task clearer. Sir Eglamour simply needed to traverse to the castle, infiltrate it, and then kill the dragon mother so the fairies could re-establish their realm. Surely after that display of heroism the Toads would direct his way back to the realm of man.

"If thou wishest to assemblen elles werreiours, plainlie directus hem towardes thy castel-yate!" Sir Eglamour of Artois declared towards the escaping Dee T. The knight moved away from the shop entrance and mounted upon his horse. Now saddled up the knight the knight applied pressure to his steed and moved his reins in the direction he wished to go. After these actions his bucked up-forwards and then began riding in the direction towards the castle he saw in the distance.
As Sir Eglamour of Artois rode his steed towards the shop a brief thought entered his mind; why did those brown fairies consumed by the fungi serve those baby dragons instead of the other fairies that weren't fully consumed by their mushrooms. Of course that led to an even more important thought, just how many baby dragons were there? What sort of broodmother produced all those eggs? And of course a particular thought lingered in his mind, what was the way back from this otherworld. Surely the faeries he saved had to have some knowledge for this.

Upon reaching the potential sanctuary of the Toads, the knight dismounted and had a peep around the building. "Nought a post with-inne sighte." Sir Eglamour mused aloud. Hou-ever it shulen be acceptable fer now. The knight thought as bent down and partially entered the shop. He kept a steady position near the entrance. Sir Eglamour briefly examined the contents of the building and the damage that had happened within it, while Dee T was apparently searching for something. After her eager declaration, there was a rather loud and odd popping sound.

What expression was underneath the knight's helmet was a mystery, well to those who weren't Sir Eglamour. However it seemed the result of that was something that was actually conventional, an escape chasm. The only thing that was somewhat off about this one was that it was not underneath any castle. But it was quite possible this is where it led to. Or perhaps the castle was destroyed from some manner of siege long ago. But whatever the origin of this tunnel was, it did not matter right now.

What currently mattered was what the fairy girl spoke of. Apparently a tragedy had befallen upon the Kingdom of Toads, with their champion of the realm missing when brood of dragons and other sprites were attacking them. Sir Eglamour extended out his right arm and held up his palm, "Be nought douten."

He returned his arm back towards his side. "Plainlie nemnenest wher their Brodmater be, and informacioun thouwishen." The knight paused for a moment before going on, "Abidenest undernethen in the sille an bidenest fer my apperen ayen."
