Sorry, once again, I'm lagging behind. I've contracted a nasty fever and had a string of bad stuff happened to me this week. I'll probably be up and around in a couple of days. Meanwhile, you guys can just skip ahead.

Ah, its no problem! Your well being should always come first, friend. I hope you get better soon!
Anna rolled her eyes when Jason ruffled her hair. She was too late to swat his hand away, so she could disallow him to mess with her already untidy hair. With more seemingly half-assed attempts she tried to tame the mess of dark waves. Before she could finish her poor attempts though, Jason had started with the introduction. Once he pointed towards her she made a little hand gesture. It was a small flick of her middle and pointer finger up. She didn't bother looking around to attach names onto faces yet. She'll just ask Jason again later. Besides its not like she's going to talk to them much. Her work hours were definitely different compared to the others. 2 days on, then 4 days off to herself. She'll probably be holed up in her room too, so it was highly unlikely.

The bonfire immediately caught her attention, rewarding Jason with her head snapping in his direction. Nobody knew it but she was sort of an extreme pyromaniac. She'll have plenty of fun on her own just throwing random things into the fire. Hopefully she won't start a new one beside the original fire and somehow cause an wildfire that burns down half of Miami or something else severe and extreme...The possibilities are endless with fire. She was reluctant about the beach though. She was terrified of the ocean, or large pools of water in general. With a bit of hidden excitement and ever growing reluctance she agreed with a nod of her head.

Looks like she's not getting that beer. A sigh smacked against grit teeth, the white barrier fortunately muffling it greatly. She didn't bother getting up herself to get it though. She remained on the couch, about as ready as she'll ever be to go back to her room and catch up on her sleep. Her mother's words stopped her though. She had promised to make friends in Miami, and stop being the total shut-in she was. This has to count as socializing. Her eyes looked up at the ceiling, and her chin followed suit. Her mouth opened slightly, and her tongue began to lick the top row of her teeth. A habit she somehow formed. Her teeth quickly caught her tongue in the act, and stopped the annoying habit.

Her mind began to wander again, to a better more quiet place. Then a voice ripped her back into harsh reality. Slowly her head turned towards Sunny, head coming down to eye level with the other girl. Suddenly her eyes widened, but the iron facade hid the mortified look she was too close to reveal. Anna's eyes began to shift awkwardly trying to find the right words to say. Fuck! What was her name again?! Moments passed, and each one felt like lifetimes to her.

"It's uh.. It's Anna, actually." Anna corrected awkwardly, taking Sunny's hand into her clammy one and tried to give it a nice firm shake. "It's nice to meet you too...?" She raised her eyebrow slightly, hoping to get a name and not to make herself look like an absolute fool. Hopefully she could pass it off that she isn't good with names, and not some asshole who's too cool for everybody.
Ah, good point
Damn guys, its quiet
I'll post once someone hands Anna her beer and if not I'll still post lol
Sounds good! I'll get my character sheets up as soon as I can!

Joel turned slightly to face Ellie, giving the girl a smile. When was the last time he smiled that wide? Honestly, he didn't know but it was a nice change to the iron facade. Surprised that Ellie had dropped the subject as quick as she did there he raised his eyebrows slightly, but he was thankful she did. The steady front came back, when he saw Ellie trace her fingers over the bite wound. He gave another sigh, before returning his eyes back forward hammering his gaze on the beautiful foliage that surrounded them. A small chuckle tumbled off his weathered lips. Like what he used to do with Sarah he wrapped his arm around her shoulders, pulling her a little closer. His other hand found itself on the top of her head, giving a rough ruffle.

"Oh come on, hiking's fun. I'm sure you'd enjoy it!" He pressed on, trying to convince the girl.

He could probably use something like hiking, hunting too maybe. Joel began to imagine the simpler life they could have at Tommy's. He'd teach Ellie how to play the six string like he promised before, he could probably work on carpentry again. He wouldn't have to worry constantly about something or someone going to jump out at him and take him out. He probably wouldn't have to worry about clickers anymore, or ration cards. Hell, maybe he'll go back to worrying what fatherly things.

Another chuckle escaped the confines of his lips. When did he become this optimistic. He remembered before, his harsh words towards Tommy about how the world wouldn't go back to how it used to be. Another shake of his head, and more thoughts added to the vault. All he has to worry about is Ellie, and only Ellie. He gave her shoulder a soft squeeze, and shot her a glance. Eyebrow raised, and his lips moving up to a soft grin.
It was already getting lively downstairs. Of course it was, isn't past usual work hours or something? Or are they having some sort of party? Anna groggily sat up scratching the back of her head with one hand, and the other balled up into a fist to rub away the exhaustion weighing down her eyelids. Her phone slid off her chest, down to her side. She had another 3 days to sleep it all off, so there wasn't exactly a rush. She ran her fingers through the messy waves of dark hair before smoothing away the wrinkles on her sweater. You may be a social recluse but doesn't mean you can't make yourself look nice. Anna thought to herself, trying to stifle the hefty yawn.

Once up and about she completely forgot about the earphones in her ear, and she dragged her phone up with her. Like it was 1000 pounds, she flew forward with it, but caught herself before she could face plant back into the carpet. Once the object was on the ground, she snatched it up from the ground disconnected the cord and threw both things onto her bed.

Anna could hear Jason calling her to meet another of his friends. With a slightly exasperated sigh, she nodded her head. Before then though, she performed a good stretch trying to force the weights of fatigue off her bones. Her arms reaching up high, spine arching and a yawn letting loose. Dropping her arms, a slight roll of her shoulders, and a shake of her limbs she was ready to go. Well, more like ready to try at least. She opened her door slightly, poking her head out of her room.

"Yeah, hi!" She yelled towards the staircase and hoped her voice would reach down to the lower level and be somewhat friendly.

Then, she was back in and leaning against her door. It wasn't long before she heard people all over the stairs, Holden going up then down then minutes later another going up. Probably the new blood. She thought. Fortunately, or unfortunately in some sense the walls were somewhat thin, and you could hear the conversation and if someone entered or not. It wasn't long until another party entered the building, and so with narrowed eyes and a fierce reluctance she trudged down the stairs. Fingers running through messy untamed hair, desperately trying to fix last minute.

"Someone mind passing me a beer, or something?" Anna asked hoping her tone wasn't as harsh like it was most of the time. She slumped down onto the leather couch arms spread out on top of the couch and legs spread eagle. Already she was distracted by god knows what.
