@Phantomlink959think of it this way if you want to. Mason was human once yet he inadvertently committed a serious sin and died, he remembers nothing except what he did, his name, and the fact he was once human. His soul is still part human seeing as he committed a serious sin yet it was to save someone, but he is part demon since he died and had sinned majorly that part of his soul is evil and wants destruction and death while the human part doesn't want to hurt anyone which resulted in Mason and shadow

It wasn't expecting the whip. The second it touched the hardened spikes it burned and fizzled, the demon howled as it was slammed into the wall. It's eyes went wide as the blade cut through them like a hot knife through butter. To sets of screams could be heard as black blood sprayed out from the wounds "AAAAPLEASE!YOUSTOP!B@$&;!ITI'LLHURTS!GUTPLEASE!YOU LIKE A FISH!" it yelled as one eye was blood red the other is white, the white eye was crying.
