Ooooh. And what I mean is choose one skill and use it as a boost to get a new skill.

Still a little confused, when you say skill do you mean element?

So for example you could go water to easily get upgrades for another skill, then switch over the that skill?

That sentence confused me a little. You could only switch to a different element provided you had equal or more skills in that element than the one you're currently focussed on. So you could start as water, gain skills in water, then get more skills in mud (earth + water) and switch to that.

I would say twenty element crystals *or more* because death isn't an element and sounds OP.Fire element is my choice.Beginning skills: Basic pyromancy: Can boil water, can make extremely small flames, can melt plastic if concentrating hard enough.Beginning mutation: Hot skin: His body is about as warm as metal that has been in a stove for three hours.

I have my ideas for basic skills, I think I know how I'll do those. Your idea for hot skin was one I thought of too, though, and it will probably be one of the available mutations for fire.

As for the crystals it won't be a set number.

At the moment, what I'm thinking is one crystal is worth a certain level skill/mutation. Say you're an earth elemental, and you use a fire crystal. Your element and the crystals element would combine to allow you to choose a lava element skill. If you manage to obtain equal amounts of skills in both your native element and another element or more skills in another element than you have in your own you have the option of becoming the element you're on par with or have more skills in.

I am always interested if I can murder things.

Depending on how long that game lasts the players might get a godly amount of power and actually be able to control byu armies. )_)

That was an idea I had.

If you haven't guessed I am game, i like the idea of mages.

I was thinking more the way of mages myself as well.

And yay, at least one person interested :D

How long till the death element?

Depends on how long it takes you to get together enough of those element crystals, or enough of the types of element crystals you'd need to form death element crystals. A bit longer than other elements, considering it requires at least 3 other elements besides the one you start off as.
Just curious but would anyone be interested if I adapted Elementals to be kind of like what Squee is doing with Hunger Games, and what Turt is doing with Dungeon World?

I have some ideas, like you either start out as human elemental mages, or you start out as little elemental golem things, and as you level up by completing quests, you get to expand not only your skills but your being. As in, you can choose new skills, or you could choose mutations (ex. a water elemental could grow gills).

You'd start out as one of the base four: fire, earth, wind, or water. You'd gain points to expand your skills/mutations in what you chose by completing quests. So there'd be a skill tree type thing for each element, and you could get skills from other element trees, or even become another element entirely by finding things called element crystals that exist within the world.

Oh, and one of your most basic skills you get early on would be the ability to create byus (tiny elementals of your element). In the beginning you could only have one tiny one and maintain it for a short amount of time. But as you grow, you could make them bigger, make more of them, and sustain them for longer.

Anywho those are the ideas I have so far, anyone interested or have any input?

Why am I suddenly curious if there are studies on this?

I'm not sure about this specific scenario (bjs) but I know when I had my wisdom teeth removed the thanksgiving before last I was told I couldn't suck on anything, because it'd risk opening the gaping holes where the teeth had been up by sucking out or loosening the blood clots, which obviously wouldn't be good. Squee had her wisdom teeth removed just last Thursday I believe so, yeah.

Really though, if you could even open your mouth wide enough to do that I'd be impressed. I could barely open my mouth for the first couple of days and even after that, if I opened my mouth very far my stitches would rub together and hurt because of the swelling.

Since Squee no longer has wisdom teeth, she'll be better at giving deepthroaty head.

Yeah but she can't give any for now because if she sucks on things this soon after the surgery the suction could pull out the blood clots that are sealing the wounds.
