Bringing him back.

Nothing would get past Anzo's watchful eye! That is, if he was actually paying attention and urm... in his tower.

"Another meat 'n' cheese sandwich." The dung beetle was avoiding his duties at his usual getaway spot, and he was enjoying every second of his self-given break. Grabbing his food as soon as possible, he left enough money before getting up to return to his post at a snail's pace, not being especially eager to return to his tower. Guarding was one of the most boring occupations, comprised entirely of waiting, waiting, in addition to waiting some more. The ease of the job was part of the reason the bug took up the job, along with part of the reason he wasn't engaged in it. Greeting his fellows villagers the whole walk, his tower eventually came in range.

"Ahh, finally get to relax," Anzo said to himself before plopping down in his chair atop the tower and taking out his sandwich. It was such a beautiful day. The big beetle started gobbling on his sandwich. The sun was out and the clouds were perfectly puffy. His sandwich was really good, and so all was good. Looking around, he just took it all in. Birds soaring, children playing, and the clock tower ticking, getting to see the village in action from so high up was definitely one of the perks to being a guard.

Anzo made a note to himself on the way down to look at it some more, after he got another sandwich, of course. Nothing seriously bad ever happened in Winding, so he didn't have to be in his tower. Well, at least that's what Anzo thought as he bought sandwiches for him and some compadres, once again neglecting his duties.
Keith Kratz

A chance to be human again. How could he refuse?

Regardless, Keith felt a bit squeamish in the chopper, and thoughts of what he would have to do for his freedom crossed his mind, among many other things. The wendigo hoped butchering bad guys would be all that is demanded of him, but he knew he was being overly optimistic. It was simply a matter of time till he would be asked to act like what he is, a monster. He probably deserved to rot in the camps. The craving he felt whenever looking over his would-be teammates assured him of this, and just about everyone else seemed to agree. The hunger served as a constant reminder in case he ever dared to think otherwise.

Gazing around at his fellow supernaturals, the wendigo felt out of place. There was the winged bombshell who seemed disinterested about this whole thing somehow. Keith envied her. Then there was the golden-haired dullahan with her head disconnected from her body. Keith envied her. Finally, there was the only friend the wendigo had left in this world, Kit. He was unspeakably grateful for his existence, yet Keith envied him. All of them had something that he did not: they could all be accepted. Attractive and human, they could all live among them without a problem, and Keith would be able to do the same soon; four years would grant him his freedom and he'd get to leave Camp Merced.

Immediately after the chopper landed and they were all greeted by their new babysitter, the skeletal creature unfastened his seatbelt then hopped out. He didn't know anything about whatever drill the new nanny was referring to, so he just figured it'd be best to stay close to the man, stay silent, and follow whatever orders are given.

ANZO'S GUARD TOWER
Anzo's tower is an unshowy tower comprised mainly of wood caked with dung for later use. The defensive structure is about 20 yards tall and has a ladder made of the same kind of wood to allow access to the top of it, and at the top is a small roofed structure armed with a mounted telescope to allow for observation in addition to a mounted crossbow Anzo has never used. There are small bins for guard's possessions mounted on an interior wall along along with a chair in the center of it all, Anzo's favorite resting spot. Said big bug can be found there eating sandwiches or sleeping most of the time. In the scenario in which the village is in danger, one of the bins has arrows locked within it while another bin is full of fireworks meant for letting everyone know about their safety status: yellow fireworks means possible danger, red means we're all going to die, and green means it's all good, one of the other guards took care of it.

But if he eats it only to have it recycled through his body... where did it come from in the first place?

Woahhh bro.

But in all seriousness, he also eats other stuff sometimes.
