Hubby and I just got out of Moana. That was really good, even for Disney. Easily my favorite film from the mouse in the house. Nice feel-good movie, I recommend it to everyone here.

I've been putting waaaaay too much thought into some of the neato stuff I'm going to give Carmen, lots of research online. If @rocketrobie2 does the 'hero' idea, Carmen'll be able to deck them out... Or be a good pro-gem anti-hero.

He'll probably have it if he ends up going with Reggie to the Kindergarten, but aside from that, only when he's doing his 'delivery' runs and trying to stay out of sight to begin with, or when shit is hitting the fan. Even then, he's got other tools and weapons to pick from that are less conventional and more specialized, not stuff he'd just be carrying around.
Also, I've found a slightly more modern version that I'll be applying the same lethal and non-lethal modes to.

@Kronshi The copper for the coils is Pretty cheap, The 12 volt battery the guy had is pretty cheap. That video is also six years old, so I imagine stronger batteries come in smaller packages, especially in a universe with gem-tech and their power crystals, advances in chemistry as a result of studying compounds found from gem items, etc.If not, Carmen would have no problem making his a bit bigger to compensate for the increased power consumption. Everything else is easily obtainable online, through the college, or maybe with some help with Reggie and his father.
As for reasoning; He regularly delivers illicit packages for a number of shady individuals. I'd imagine having a weapon would be handy, if just to keep anyone from getting any ideas.

So I'm giving Carmen a supped up version of this to use in 'Dangerous Situations'. Low-power option that's meant to be used on people as a deterrent, at the power shown in the video, and then a full-power mode meant for bigger threats that's capable of doing serious harm/damage to fleshies.
