Masuda, like many of his clan, appear to be cold, but in truth he is calm and warm person. He can always be seen smiling and teasing his teammates. His talkative is seen as odd by most, considering the clan he comes from, and many are taken aback after hearing him speak. Masuda is a very big optimist. He tries to find the light in every situation and can rarely be seen upset. He does have his mood swings, mostly with those who cross him. Masuda can hold a grudge like no other and getting even is one of his most important values to him.
Masuda was born into the Aburame clan on October 5th. As the custom goes in his clan, he was offered at birth to several special breed of insects to act as a nest. Besides the Kikaichū that most of his clan used he also had another layer of much smaller bugs know as the Rinkaichū. They were rare even among his clan and he was given some special treatment because of it.
When he entered into the academy he had surprisingly been very likable by many of the others. His bright and cheerful nature scared most at first but soon they all became accustomed to him. He had many friends and was a very average student. His most prominent quality was his optimism despite the brutal circumstances. He made many different friends and tired to be the best he could.
When he graduated from the academy, he was told about the Rinkaichū residing inside of him. At first he was upset for being shielded by this but soon he embraced his situation and learned to live with it. His father helped him learn to control the more independent bugs and soon he had mastered them like no other. He was a prodigy in one aspect, the study of bugs. Throughout the time he was with his squad he trained not only with the Kikaichū, but with his Rinkaichū too. Learning about the poison that the bugs produced and how he could apply it to his different techniques. He created strides in research about the bug and almost was able to create a cure for the poison.
It took him and his squad one try to pass the exams and soon after he worked hard in his research and missions. He earned his name the poison bug due to his usage of Rinkaichū in combat and their deadly effects. His stealth tactics and espionage knowledge, are what earned him a spot in the ANBU. Another thing was the creation of the cure for the poison that the Rinkaichū. He is the only know person to have the cure.

Masuda is a strong bug fighter. He prefers to fight at long rage and set up traps for his enemy to get caught in. He fights like most other stationary fighter, long distance and capturing the opponent dead or alive. The amount of bugs he has is vast, so much that he needs a gourd to carry some on his back. Most of the time you will see this is his main source for the Kikaichū. Masuda utilizes his stealth and spy tactics to avoid direct confrontation. Most of his traps use poison harvested from the Rinkaichū. When he does have to fight hand-to-hand he uses the Rinkaichū, he is not the best fighter, but he will hold his own, usually not having to fight long due to the side effects of his opponents touching the Rinkaichū while they are active.

- Very Hiden: Venomous Insect Venom
- Poison Cloud Technique
- Rinkaichū Dart: He coats Kunai with Rinkaichū and is able to throw it to infect his opponents from a distance. The Kunai turns purple and only last for a few minutes.
- Rinkaichū Web:The wire string that he has can be coated with Rinkaichū and given the purple hue. These strings are then set up to act as a 'web' and meant to catch any 'prey' that come in to it.
