Very interested! Looking for a long-term RP partner who ideally wants to do some kind of instant messenger. I do work quite a bit, so I am not around every day, but am available some mornings and some afternoons (US mountain time). I like to do at least a couple hours at a time.

Things I like:
-Strong interest in character development
-secondary world fantasy/sci fi that we both create together (high fantasy & space opera especially)
-political intrigue
-characters who don't necessarily like each other to begin with
-sometimes mature posting
-somewhat plotted, or at least we set up tensions together

PM me if you're interested!
Note: This is a 1x1 roleplay, but if you are interested in jumping in, please apply with a CS here.

Calexico: A smuggler's island, a place of last resort for some, and a place of new beginnings for others.

Zuninya Utonygye was definitely in the 'last resort' category now. Half her supply stolen, the other half waterlogged, the Irathient's boat limped into the harbor. The crew, which consisted now only of an additional unhappy Irathient and a Sensoth, was down both of their gunslingers after the fight. Really, Zuninya should be glad the three of them escaped with their lives, but all her mind went to was the wasted goods and how it would be months, a year maybe, before they could establish themselves up again.

Then, as soon as the boat landed, her Irathient friend picked up a bag full of supplies. "Hey!" Zun shouted, reaching for him, but he picked up their last gun, too, pointed it at her.

"I'm getting out of here," he snapped. "You stay where you are, Zun."

"Get the hell back in the boat, you piece of shtako," she snarled, all her muscles tense. She was really not in the mood for insubordination.

"I'm done taking the loss," her crewman said, stepping off the boat onto the dock.

"I can't rebuild this without you," Zun growled, her voice low.

"I'm taking your gun and your stuff," he said. "Good luck with that. I hope Ashina doens't cut your throat next time she sees you. So long." And then he hopped off and he was gone, somewhere into the heart of Calexico.

Zuninya jumped up onto the dock and kicked her boat furiously, cussing in three different languages. Her Sensoth, a sensitive guy, only wept silently, watching her. After a while, she wore herself out, panting, pushing red braids back from her face. "Oh, get out, you great lump," she said. "Let's go get wasted at the need-want." Gyakusa, god of passion and revelry, owed them that much, at least.
This is a Defiance roleplay! If you're interested in joining, reply here.
These look fun! I'm down for anything with pirates or dragon riders!
Pirates! Is there still room???
Yay! Sounds fun :) Would be best to have more people, although if nobody else shows up I'd be open to 1x1 as well :)
Hey kiddlings! I'm back for a jump into RolePlayerGuild after a respite to do some writing training.

I'd love to do a Defiance-based RP with 2-3 other people. I'm not familiar with the game, but I am in love with the show. Ideally I wouldn't like a lot of crossover with the main characters from the show, so we can have the most freedom we want with our characters. I won't be a stickler for the rules of the world, but I want people who have good grammar and are interested in intrigue, juicy romances, and free to go with the flow. People CAN get killed--if your character is killed, you are free to come up with a new one.

Equal parts fandom and freedom!

The setting: Calexico, coastal trading port where you can find anything, for the right price; where you can go when you're being chased out of every civilized city; where you can find the Thorn-by-the-Sea, a need-want overlooking the Pacific with its strange, rarely-seen manager. Here all manner of business transpires. On any given night, a new stranger might walk through the door looking for love, scrip, or business--through the door and into the arms of the skilled employees inside.

If you're interested in playing, please draw up a brief character sketch (name, race, brief backstory, reason for coming to Calexico). I'll select players based on writing skill and how well I think your character will fit with others. :) Looking forward to it!
Interested! I usually like roleplays where characters don't get along--and I love writing assholes (lol). I'm pretty much up for anything as long as you let me do what I like with my character :)
Great! Sorry I haven't checked this in a while. I don't have a specific story in mind--was thinking politics in terms of fantasy politics that we make up ;) Would love to do post-apocalypse with fantasy (post-apocalypse in a fantasy world, maybe?). Few caveats--I know I'm probably alone in this, but I really can't stand zombies. Let's come up with something creative that contributed to the end of the world. Magic got out of control? Or a different species took over? (aliens??) Or maybe humans super-fast-evolved into super-humans of some kind (I'm making tons of sense, I know). I'm open to any ideas.
Hi folks! Looking to RP (casual or advanced preferred) with 1-3 other people before I go back to school (on the 12th).

I'm open to any ideas you guys have with world/character creation, but here are some things I'm interested in right now:

  • High fantasy with politics and anti-heroes galore

  • Science-fiction, with a focus on the fiction rather than the science. Same as above--so...like a fantasy world on a different/technologically advanced planet, for example.

  • The middle-place between mortal and godly realms

  • Please only show interest if you have strong grammar/writing skills. Hopefully post once per day at least. Really looking forward to seeing what you guys bring to the table!
