That reminds me... @Nerdy Reference Seeing as you and I have the only New World characters so far, did you want to have them connected somehow?
Edit; @BKburke Granted, it would make me feel better, you seriously don't have to. My inner statistician did a little number crunching. My OCD saw the scribbles and has been fixated on it for awhile.
The Player Name:John Clarke Age:23 Gender:male Bio: Growing up, John didn't have many friends. With his older siblings being more popular, most kids wanted to hang out with them. This caused him to be somewhat timid and introvert. His lack of friends caused him to be on the computer more so than he'd like to admit. This led to him reading about YGGDRASIL. After buying the equipment to play, his journey into YGGDRASIL finally started. In the game things were different. John had many friends while playing the game though he never sought to make a guild. At the end, he spent his last minutes of YGGDRASIL on a hilltop where he met his first friends. Connection to <insert name here>:
The Avatar A quiet an observant individual who wont back away from helping someone in need
Name:Masrith Appearance:
Description and/or Image Origin: YGGDRASIL Race: Heteromorphic-Dragonoid Gender: Male Character Level: 100 Alignment:50
Racial Class: Dragonion doesn't have any racial classes listed so not sure what to put here. Job Class: Wizard High Wizard War Wizard Summoner World Disaster Strengths and Weaknesses: As a pure mage, He posses extremely high magical damage output but when compared to other classes, he has low vitality and agility. His spells allow him great control over the field at a distance though at close combat he is a sitting duck. He tries to compensate his short comings by summoning but there are spells that can restrict summoning abilities. While his high tier spells can do considerable damage, they have a hefty mana consumption which makes him hesitant to use them. Equipment/Abilities:
Equipment:
Mask of The Silent One: A plain mask with no features, it is practically useless as it only serves as a decorative item.
Magi's Aggressor: A staff that boosts magical attacks up to 30% as casters mana depletes.
Summoners Blessing: 3 times a day, the first three summoning spells that Masrith casts are cast without mana consumption so long as they are 3rd tier or lower.
Magi's Haste: Robes that shorten spell cast time by 10%.
Saviors Ring: A high class ring that allows one to cast a 6th tier heal spell 5 times a day.
Abilities:
Grand Catastrophe: By far his most powerful spell. It is a trump card and uses as a last resort. This spells destructive capacity can wipe out primal elementals though it consumes 60% total mana and would leave Masrith at a considerable disadvantage should he engage in a fight after using this spell.
Summon Angel 4th tier: Summons either a Principality Observation or Principality Peace
Dragon lightning: A 5th tier spell that shoots out a lightning bolt in the form of a dragon, that then seeks out its target.
Crystal Lance: A 4th tier spell used by Evileye against Entoma, launching an elongated cold object sent flying in her direction.
How a normal human would view this character: In human form, he would simply be viewed as a human dressed as a wizard though in true form he would be viewed as a monster. Though anyone that can see magic power however could easily discern he is no mere man.
Aside from a few formatting issues, this looks fine. You might try moving the closing brackets, so the different sections are formatted correctly: Race: Strengths and Weaknesses: How a normal human would view this character:
The bold formatting isn't just cosmetic, it's intentionally distinctive, so I can more easily skim through different parts of the CS. I have to reference these things periodically, so it helps when I'm trying to find a specific piece of info about your character.
As for the racial class for Dragonoid/dragonkin, I'm not sure if there is one in canon. But! You can just make one up. We are pretty far removed canon Overlord material at this point, so you have a lot of creative freedom to make what you want. It's also worth noting that you aren't required to take levels in your racial class either. Maybe the race just had higher base stats and that's all you needed for some build? Maybe your character just liked the look of it, so the race was chosen for purely cosmetic reasons?
Make some minor changes, and the sheet is approved.
Rules change:
From now on, world-type job classes will be prohibited for future Yggdrasil characters.
One is fine. Two is on the borderline, but I'm having a really hard time imagining any more than that would still be playing during the server shutdown. There's a few of other reasons for me doing this as well, but I don't feel like explaining in depth. #WordsAreHard
Do tell if there are problems. I'll fix stuff tomorrow after I wake up cuz I'm about to pass out and maybe rewrite the history, but that's the basic gist of everything. Might write up a new-world NPC.
The Player
Name: Rachel Wynne
Age: 34
Gender: Female
Bio: Rachel has been a loner most of her life. Not really out of any desire to be mind you, she just never really 'got' people. One of those awkward people who never could really seem to get her life straightened out to a reasonable degree. So she spent a lot of her free time watching old horror movies, being into mythology and video games. While she wasn't a huge player, they were great for casual fun times - at least until she stumbled upon Yggdrasil. After stumbling upon the MMO, she was immediately hooked. A good stress reliever, and she was finally able to at least appear slightly confident and not a completely awkward mess. In fact, she was rather good at the whole MMO and Yggdrasil thing.
When it was announced the game would shut down, she was particularly upset. Most of her other friends had left, and feeling more than a little depressed she decided to stick around until the very last moment.
Connection to <insert name here>: Detail how your character is connected to at least one other character that you don't control, who participates in this RP. Were they friends in real life? Rivals? Were they teleworkers for the same soul-crushing corporate employer? Did one cheat on the other's brother/sister/cousin? How/Why do they know each other? Work this out amongst yourselves.
The Avatar
"Squid(?) lady that's a little too handsy & Lazy.
Name: Ivaathr'krorh
Appearance: Iva's avatar is...something to behold, really. Standing at five foot seven, It appears to be some abhorrent mix of eel, seaweed, and most notably, fingers. Yep. Fingers. Lots of them. The humanoid fleshy parts would be quite attractive, if it wasn't for everything else. Her body constantly covered in a slimy, slippery film making it difficult to get a good grip on her. Not to mention the black eel parts which resemble some form of ceremonial dress. Her body temperature is naturally cool and cold. She lacks hands, though and instead has had them replaced by a mouth with a prehensile tongue which are just as dextrous as hands.
Origin: YGGDRASIL
Race: Heteromorphic - Brain Eater
Gender: Female????
Character Level: Yggdrasil: 100
Alignment: -300 (Neutral Evil)
Racial Class:
Brain Eater Dominator Gluttonous Monster
Job Class:
Eldritch Scion Mind Melter Psionic Savant
Strengths and Weaknesses: Iva's abilities are completely ranged based, and she is primarily a Magic Caster. She utilizes a variety of spells that directly affect a persons mind and more metal based abilities that she uses with little effort. Such as powerful telekinesis, Psionic blasts, and such abilities. She normally lets her extra 'hands' do the fighting and only move should she need too. These abilities are supplemented by her impressive healing abilities which means she can go for quite a bit longer than people give her credit for. Her favorite ability however, is the ability to dominate a lesser beings mind and have it fight for her.
One shouldn't underestimate her physical abilities however. She's quite the slippery little fish. Literally, and if she gets any of her mouths on you...well, game over man. You now have a baby cephalapod in your head.
Equipment: Crown of the Yellow King: Protects against mental effects, nullifying them completely. It enhances the wearers focus, allowing their minds to stay clear and sharp at all times and have a preternatural understanding of most magical abilities they see. Divine Class.
Earrings of Hotepa: A pair of divine-class earrings. Allows the user to have a limited shape shifting ability, allowing them to change their appearance within limits. Those with particularly advanced scrying or those with the ability to see through illusions will see through this quite easily. Using the item causes one's abilities to more appropriately reflect the illusion as well, should one so happen to look.
Abilities:
Gluttonous Feasting: A bit like her regeneration ability, but this one instead takes the life of others and converts it into life for herself. Any physical damage dealt to a creature by any of her mouths will be drained of life and instead transferred to her to heal, or temporarily strengthen her own physical abilities. Can use this ability to purge toxins from the body.
Eldritch Hands: She can manifest upwards of ten different psychically controlled arms and hands. These hands can exert as much force as a human in top physical condition, and as they are ethereal can not be defended against by most people. They are just as dexterous and can easily be controlled. Feels no pain and can effortlessly replace them and use them to defend/attack. They are usually invisible to the naked eye.
Mind Blade: A simple spells that turns psychic energy into an ethereal blade able to be used to attack with. While it is named 'blade' if one is skilled enough, they could shape this into any physical weapon they desire. Invisible to the naked eye.
Psionic Shriek: A wide, AoE Attack that directly affects a persons mind. Anyone within a large radius will find their minds assaulted by an intense pain that causes severe brain hemorrhaging without sufficient protection. Can focus on a single target to make it more effective. Causes migraines even in those who defend against it.
Mind Jammer: An ability that hampers ones ability to think and numbs the mind, effectively making them slow to react, have trouble thinking of solutions to possible problems, and generally just makes them lose some of their mental faculties. Strength can vary from simple sluggishness, to making one completely 'blank' entirely, forgetting what they were just doing and erasing parts of their memories. Especially useful on Magic Casters.
Psionic Barrier: A magical ability that places a powerful barrier around the target that repels any incoming attack be it physical or magical in nature.
Overwrite: A particularly devious ability that at its core, simply brainwashes the target sending them into a fugue state following a single command of the caster, or entirely overwriting their free will to make it more agreeable to the caster. Can only used on single targets, one at a time and either physical contact or direct eye contact for a few seconds is required. The more its successfully used on a person, the longer it lasts unless the person has been thoroughly cleansed of its effects.
How a normal human would view this character: Completely utterly terrified, most likely, should they know what she truly looks like. Horrific beings such as herself have little in the way of allies and love. At best, she'd likely be shunned, at worst, hunted. The earrings will likely help much, but its not a perfect illusion and sometimes things get weird. Her body temperature will stay the same, and she'll always have a clammy and mildly sticky feeling on her skin.
I really like this concept too! Didn't we have a shoggoth character in the last game? I think we did. Anyway, looks good. Shiyonichi already pointed out the only thing I would've mentioned.
