Iron Enigma in: Crocus!
Arie hummed softly as she and Luna wandered the streets with their arms linked. They had so far enjoyed a nice day of wandering around the city, seeing the sights, talking, and enjoying the various foods they found at their convenience. Right now, Luna was sucking away what little remained of the Ice cream pop she had gotten from the last Ice Cream stand they had come across. The two rounded a corner before coming to a sudden stop, Luna blushing and Arie giggling.
"Well, what have we stumbled upon here?"The kissing couple they had just come across would open their eyes, and they would almost instantly lock on the two that had just turned the corner. The kiss that they ahd been sharing would quickly come to an end, and the two would take a precautionary step away from each other.
"U-uh, hey guys," Laynette would say, her fact just barely turning a darker shade of red than Mark's.
"Y-yeah, what's up?" Their awkwardness between the two was just enough for Luna to get over her initial embarrassment and giggle softly. They were acting like they had done something wrong by kissing, and they had just been caught doing it.
"Interesting, I was just about to propose the same inquiry. How long have you possessed such amorous affections for the other?" This caused an even deeper blush to arise in the two, and they would glance at each other nervously.
"Uhm, the past few minutes?" Mark would offer quietly, and this would get Laynette to roll her eyes at him.
"Oh, you've been crushing on me since before lunch," Laynette would tease him, gently taking his arm in hers.
"I'm telling you I wasn't propositioning you! I was just tired!" Mark complained, looking down at the woman who was now hanging on to his arm. Luna blushed again, feeling nervous about this whole situations. What was one supposed to do when they caught their friends kissing?
"B-besides, I-I only kissed you because of the bet," Arie giggled.
"Right, 'just because of the bet.' Was that why you were sooo insistent that I receive it despite me telling you you didn't have to really honor the bet because it was made knowing full well you wouldn't win it?" Laynette raised an eyebrow and looked a Mark, putting one hand on her hip.
"U-uh, well... I was just wondering how good a kisser you were, that's all," Mark lied rather poorly.
"Riiight. And?""A-and what?""How good of a kisser am I?""O-oh, well, u-uh, you're a pretty good kisser," Mark would blush again as he said this, glancing away slightly.
"Thank you.""No problem."This entire conversation was beginning to be a bit much for Luna, and she would speak up, her face red as well.
"W-well, uh, while I would love to stay and chat with you two, me and, uh, Arie are heading to, uhm, go do something. S-so I guess we'll, uh, take our leave of the situation?" As she said this, she'd glance up at Arie, who would giggle slightly, pulling her young companion a little closer.
"Ah, that's right. Resume battle stations, my good compatriots, and let us depart Moon." Mark and Laynette would blush at this comment, while Arie and Luna would depart, one of them smiling at the whole situation, the other just furiously embarrassed.
A crowd gathered around as Grant and Solux squared off in the middle of the street. Just by looking at the two one could see tensions were high; Solux was literally glowing with energy, while Grant could be found holding a medium-length straight sword, his side turned towards his guild mate.
"Solux, I'd like to ask you one last time to retract your statement, before I have to get ugly," Grant's voice was polite, but had a goading edge to it, as if he wanted to fight Solux.
"Keh. Retract the truth Grant? I think you're expecting a little much. You're not King of the Castle yet!" Neither side's smile faded at this point, though Grant's was more a bemused smirk than the shark grin Solux was giving. Grant shrugged.
"Fine then, Solux. Hit me with your best shot, I promise I won't use my precognition, and yet I'll still hand your ass to you on a platter," at this, Grant would bring his weapon up so that the tip was level with Solux's chest.
Solux laughed, thinking this would be an easy fight, before raising his hand towards Grant.
"Black Sun Eruption!" Grant scoffed at this, and reacted quickly, picking up a rock and tossing it as fast as he could at the fist sized sphere that had just launched itself from Solux's palm. The two collided, and a large explosion resulted, causing both of the combatants to back up a step or two, after which Grant would charge Solux head on, hoping to close the distance so that the other mage would be unable to use his more destructive spells without risking his own welfare.
"Black Sun Chain" Grant avoided this attack easily, though he would stop to slash the chain with his knife, knocking it off course and sending it into the ground so that it wouldn't hit any of the civilians gathered around and watching them.
"Black moon-" Solux started, but topped as a sharp blow was landed on his Adam's apple, causing him to start coughing and choking. After he was effectively disarmed, Grant would turn his guild mate around and pull his arm up behind his back high enough that it would be extremely painful, dropping his blood sword as he did so.
"Not all power comes from being magical, Solux," he'd say roughly into Sulux's ear as he regained his breath. After a moment he'd let go of the mage's arm and roughly push him away, causing him to fall over. Grant's smile was long gone now.
"How a wizard as inept as you makes A-Class, I'll never know," the blood mage would say flatly before turning and leaving, forcing the crowd to part when necessary. Solux would groan slightly as he began standing back up, sighing.
"What an asshole," he'd suggest to the crowd.
Alm Drake - Actually Important Things
"Hey! You!" Levi would hear from nearby as he was going on about his business. The girl who had shouted it at him was laden with nothing short of a mountain of grocery bags, with her head behind two bags that were far enough apart for her to see.
"You look strong, I'll give you twenty thousand jewels if you help me carry this!" She seemed to be struggling under the weight of all the food as she said this, her voice slightly strained. If he had been watching street performances earlier, he may notice that she had been a mage doing somewhat spectaculars show of rainbow-colored flames a few hours earlier.
