Mayt Marris - Ballroom
Mayt took a moment to psyche himself up before limping over to Carrie, who was sitting with someone else. He hoped that she hadn't been keeping up with all current events everywhere, as if she had been he was about to get the scolding of a lifetime. He breathed deeply before speaking up to Carrie, likely also catching the attention of her companion.
"Hey, Carrie? Sorry if I'm interrupting, and I, uhm, can't remember if I've done this yet either, but I wanted to apologize for running you through a few months ago. It was one of those... Heat of the moment kind of things, but I think I probably should've handled it better," he awkwardly rubbed the back of his head. He felt kind of stupid doing this, but he figured it was better than never apologizing or anything for it. Though he couldn't shake the vague feeling he had done this before.
"Uhm, if I happen to have already apologized for that, then sorry. I've got a bit of a concussion right now so everything's kind of... Hazy," at least no one could blame him for not trying to make things right here. Though he wasn't entirely sure it was because he was genuinely sorry and not because Carrie could have him carted away and thrown in jail for life. Mayt considered the fact that there was also the possibility he was just imagining everything. He had a concussion as well as memories that weren't his own but all the same indecipherable from his own. At the very least, his was pretty sure that he had actually stabbed Carrie. That had come before Edolas and... Everything else. Not that he could remember anything from Edolas, but what came after was plain as day to him.
