The haze started to settle in his mind, as he could feel every muscle in his body becoming numb. Also numb was the pain settling in the back of his neck, as if he was in need of a very deep sleep. Eikki was fully conscious of what was happening with his body: the sudden numbness, the bittersweet pain in his neck, the haze blocking his sight of almost everything but the mermaid, were all to him as symptoms to a doctor. A severe case of attempt at mind control.
His tail's strong muscles kept the upper half of his body in the air as Eikki leaned in to reach the edge of her tank, pressing his torso against it, supporting the weight of his body with both his hands and tail.JeSi was probably already gone by then, but then again, if she wasn't, there wasn't much else that Eikki could see. Literaly, his eyesight was blocked by a haze, only Imalia remained clear under his gaze. Through her eyes, he could see the oceans of the world, all the uncharted depths that he so masterfuly recreated, in much smaller scale, under the cloth of his tent.
Before the merfolk could get a full view of the side of her body, Imalia dove down in her tank, only to come back with a bottle of alcohol. That act left Eikki a bit stunned, and had him break away a bit from her control as he started noticing her expressions. Boredom was one of the only things he could see in her face, as well as a slight joy....perhaps because of his own expression, as if he had been drinking a lot, his eyelids were half-closed as he had basked in the numbness that woman provided him. Perhaps he had done that for far too long. The glow at the tips of his tentacles grew in intensity as he opened his eyes fully and the world came back into focus. After years exposed to the light of his lantern, Eikki was no stranger to the allures of the world, and in the past he had done a good job in getting rid of sirens. He indeed considered himself immune to their charm...however Imalia exhibited something different. Something about her behavior, that of a beast, that increased her alluring power tenfold, somehow. Eikki could mantain certain control of himself, however her influence was strong enough on him that it wouldn't allow him to back away from her if something bad started to happen. Not without a fight, anyway.
Eikki grabbed the bottle from her hand with a somewhat annoyed expression, and took one big sip of the strong alcohol. Giving the bottle back to the mermaid, he whispered a ''thank you'' after swallowing and letting the burning and then numbness settle in his throat. He would not allow himself to drink more in the presence of that creature; her powers were already enough to numb him, if he drank much, it would certainly mean his doom.
After a sigh of satisfaction from the alcohol, he limited himself to simply stare at her eyes once again, starting to get lost once more in those blue depths. However, he was still making note of her expression, and she still seemed bored, albeit waiting for him to say something. "What...you're waiting for me to dump my emotional load on you? it seems you had too much of such things in the past, already...", he said. Her expression betrayed that to him, although he could not hope to be completely right. As for that moment, he was happy enough to let the beauty of her eyes wash over him and numb his mind, his silence and expression saying more than he could ever hope to say. The merfolk's breathing was heavy as that of an animal, his muscles tensed in anger as he did his best to erase the events of earlier under the glow of Imalia's skin. All of it was starting to come back to him...until he peeked over the edge of the tank and at her body.
Imalia's torso was petite, slender, yet amazingly drawn. As he analyzed her physique, he could notice remarkable differences from the females of his own kind: Her form was a bit more human, her breast were not so large, on the contrary, they were small and delicate as if made of porcelain. Few were the traces that belonged to both the merfolk and the siren: fish-like tail, fins on certain places, webbing between the fingers...at least of one hand. A perfect predator, he though. Unbeknownst to him, he and Imalia were of the same opinion, that predators were much more efficient when they accepted their bestiality. That was why humans were so terrible at hunting, he thought.
The feature that made Eikki unique, however, was not shared by anyone of his species. The monstrosity that had taken the place of his arm was a bitter reminder of why the merfolk was there, working for the Devil, reaping souls for him. The reason behind his mutation eluded him, and Reficul Seil had the answer...for a price. A price he was more than willing to pay.
The more Eikki stared at her, the more, at first unconsciously, his body moved closer and closer to Imalia. Once he noticed that, however, his twisted arm grasped the edge of the tank in front of him, stop anymore movement. The silence was getting heavy, he thought...and making it that much easier for her to trap him in the blue of her eyes. With his voice, groggy from her spell, the merfolk spoke up with an affection that was not of his character, but induced by Imalia's powers. "Don't you talk, love? or are you just contempt to make this one fall for your unparalleled beauty, dear Imalia?". She looked like a beast, however Eikki saw her eyes betrayed some sort of cold intelligence that did not belong in such a wild being.
