I've come to the site on the recommendation of a dear friend, and while I lurk for a bit I figure there's no harm in introducing myself. My name is Buttons, and during the day I'm a database manager for a nonprofit. At night, I'm a huge nerd (which seems to be a trend for people my age who work in nonprofit). TTRPGs, video games, board games, and of course RPing.
I've been RPing in various forms for roughly 15 years, starting in the Long Long AgoTM with AIM and MSN chat rooms, and since then expanded to various different platforms and styles, though admittedly it has been a hot minute since I've done any long-form posting. I started playing TTRPGs with D&D 3.5e back in high school.
I also have a weakness for backing RPG systems on Kickstarter and hoarding them like a dragon. Some day I'll play them ...
In terms of genre, I absolutely adore horror, and truly almost every type. Though if you want me to ramble, get me started on the Cthulhu Mythos.
