Right then and there, Alexandria skidded to a halt across the tiles as she tried to recover her breath. Her worst fears had been confirmed, but there was little hope to outrun the Legion. While genuinely good servants of the Imperium (or so her initial thoughts were), it was known to all but the ignorant and disabled that the Legion, more specifically "Ragnar", had a penchant for only trace amounts of patience.
Plus, she was on the roofs. There was no maze of markets and the like to scuttle and scurry about in, unless she took a big jump.
Eugh, when was the last time since she had to look at heights so high, all the while being exposed? At least Rexicorg, in its nigh-claustrophobic spaces, had walls to spare. One, at least back then, could not be scared so easily of the fact that one would have been standing inside an abyssmal fissure with no end in sight.
But speaking of which...
“Citizens of the world. Hear my voice. As of this moment in time, the mass treasure hunt has begun! Sharpen your wills, broaden your minds, and go forward for that which will grant you riches and praise among the Imperium and your peers! To the ends of the earth, find the Seven Legend Relics! For all people to know your name!”
...condemn the Legion's patience, she had a quest to go on! As soon as she confronted the two incoming flashes of gold, she would have to be on her way, right? They couldn't possibly take her to jail with so many other without regulating the districts.
Wait, was that smoke she smelled?
Alexandria looked at the burning tower in the distance and froze. Her jaw went slack, her eyes widened, and her grip loosened considerably.
