Name: Kek Tarik
Race: Human
Gender: Male/Masculine
Age: 19
Nationality: Atlas
Designation: Student (Atlas Academy)
Team: BANK
Appearance: Standing a head taller than the rest of his teammates, and a good 20 kilos heavier, Tarik is built like a brick wall; all heavy muscle packed onto a thick frame. His complexion is dark, almost bronzed, with overall large, expressive features and a prominent bone structure. A squarish jaw and thick brow does nothing to help his brutish appearance, though his midnight-black eyes are sharp and hold a clever glint. He wears his black, wavy hair long; swept back over his ears and stopping just above his shoulders. Generally wears a dark grey three piece suit and maroon bowtie when not in his Academy’s uniform, and owns a set of polished bronze scale armor for use in heavy combat situations.
Semblance: No Brakes- Imbues the target with absolute motion, preventing any alteration to their velocity until Tarik releases them or they travel a far enough distance away from his influence. The larger the object the more focus it takes to affect it.
Equipment: Tarik’s weapon, eloquently christened Boomstick, is in its normal form a pump-action shotgun. Twin barrels sit above corresponding shell feeds, with the firearm furnished with a wooden full stock and polished gold-hued engraved paneling. He utilizes both conventional kinetic rounds in addition to dust rounds to give the weapon some extra power. The weapon is more than durable enough to be used as a makeshift club, though that’s rarely needed. Boomstick’s secondary mode serves as a much better melee option. Splitting in half, the weapon’s grips wrap around his palms to form a pair of large brass knuckles, with each barrel protruding on the outer side of his hand.
Personality: Tarik’s taken the strong and silent type to heart, though less because of a limited vocabulary (as his teammates tend to insinuate) so much as he’s figured out that one learns a heckofalot more when quiet. Regardless, his preferred method of wordless verbal communication does portray the image of an uncultured brute dressed in a rich man’s clothes.
He doesn’t flaunt his wealth as openly as the rest of his team, which is to say he doesn’t throw money around without pause. As much.
Skills: He’s athletic and strong, even if his parents didn’t buy his way into Atlas Academy he would have gotten in through pure skill in combat alone. He much prefers close quarters combat as opposed to ranged, where his physical power gives him the biggest advantage. This is reflected in his martial style, exemplifying heavy strikes and utilization of his size.
Relationships:
Brennan: Tarik has, what can be most aptly described, as a business relationship with the team leader of BANK. He respects him both from his ability as a leader to reign the members of BANK into place, as well as his undeniable accomplishments as an individual. While he may not follow Brennan unquestionably, he defers to him in the areas which he has greater expertise.
Noël: Relating more with the self-made blacksmith than the more financially-focused members of the team, Noël is probably the closest he could call an actual friend. Tarik find himself in her company more often than Brennan or Albert’s, though mostly as a result of the aftermost student’s tendency to butt heads over who’s gold plated airship has the most well-stocked minibar. Regardless of the fact that Noël can be a bit foolish at times, he is, without pause, the first to move to defend his teammate, even if she is more than capable herself.
Albert: If Tarik and Brennan have a working relationship then the connection between Albert and Kek would be one purely based on effectiveness in combat. Suffice to say, if they weren’t on the same team as one another, the two would probably have gone about their lives without a single word spoken. Less out of animosity than just lack of common ground. Still, they work well together as a whole.
