Powers
Zahra, much like her mother, has the ability to say commands backwards. For instance, if she says "Pots" she can cause her enemy to stop for a certain amount of time(depending on their power) and so on. She can make energy blasts appear from her hands, she can even manipulate the basic elements, and using her magic she can very easily hover, giving her the illusion of flight. She can use magic in a different way, by writing in her blood. This causes her extreme mental and physical exhaustion though, so she very rarely uses it.

Weaknesses
If her throat is gagged or injured, she can lose her main source of power.

Equipment
She carries a deck of cards with sharpened metal edges, which she uses as throwing stars. She also carries a magician's wand that can become a spear, staff, or dagger. Other than that she carries her costume.

Personality
Zahra is very sly. She has a flirtatious side, and she prefers hanging out around men.

Bio

Zahra was made from one of her mother's more promiscuous nights out. While the father stayed with her for quite some time, after Zahra was born he left them both. Zahra managed to train with her mother, knowing that in time her powers would develop very well. Every once and a while, they would go on trips to visit Batman, or as Zahra likes to call him "Uncle Wayne." Though they weren't blood relatives, they hung out a lot. Zantanna always liked the fact that her mentor was training her daughter.

Later in Zahra's years, as the earth started to fall, she realized that she wished to help. It wasn't until later, when she was contacted by Batman, that she realized there was a way. He was gathering a group of heroes to defend the world before it would die. She accepted the mission, and left her bed-ridden mother to go and try to stop the war before it could happen.

Batman would probably try to evacuate them if he could, so maybe sending the former Nightwing to get them would be good. They could then return after things are safe again, and try to rebuild, or Bruce could give the monks their own ship. Since your second character is Nightwing though, Dick will have to die or retire at some point. Maybe he can go to Tamaran?
