Clash of the Cliques: Class Warfare

Alright. I was working on a human Prep character, when I realized that he would have no abilities. Which leads to my question: How much can I arm him? Can I give him a gun, or is that too OP?

EDIT: Just re-read the top bit. No guns. I'll figure something else out.

"Finally," Pat thought, "It's about time somebody- wait, the gym!?!?."

Pat pulled out his map, looked around him and realized he was somehow on the opposite side of the campus to the gym.

"Aw crap, I gotta run!"

Eventually, Pat made it to the doors of the gym, panting like a dog. Hoping nobody would notice the panicked boy at the doors, he slipped inside and took a few deep breaths to calm himself before slipping into the crowd.

Pat looked at all the people aroumd him. He really had no clue what to do at this point other than wait, and with Lady MacDeath Angel's amazing show, he was not looking forward to her company.

"Aw screw it. I'm gonna take a walk around the campus. Maybe I'll run into someone who knows what's going on."

He saw the waving girl and waved back with a smile, though his eyes widened as he saw the tree change to a dead black color. "H-Hi, I'm Pat, n-nice to see you...?
"I am way in over my head..." he thought to himself.

"Yes, I promise to call every week and tell you how I am and- Mum, I'm pretty sure they have a doctor on campus, you don't have t- Dad, stop playing, I'm 18! Oh, ok fine then." Pat hugged his parents, received a kiss on the cheek from his mom, a high-5 from his dad, and waved goodbye as he watched them drive back the way they came.

He took a breath as he pulled his luggage towards the large white building. "Well, hello new home." To be honest, he was excited to meet the other students and see what they're like. "Maybe someone'll be like, I dunno, have fire powers, or maybe invisibility, or maybe they can fly- Aw man, this is gonna be so cool!"

Bio: Pat lived a fairly standard middle-class life in the suburbs. He went to school, got Bs, gamed with friends and so on.

On the day that an important piece of coursework was due, he had overslept and in his haste to catch the bus, left all his work on his desk, only realizing when he arrived. He knew exactly where it was; it was right there on the corner of his desk with the red stapler on top. He put his head on his desk and just hoped that his name wouldn't be called out first. That was when he felt something hit the back of his head with some force. It was his coursework, and the stapler.

Pat told no one about his newfound powers, though he did practice using them in private. This is why he got sent to the emergency room with a pencil strangely impaled through his hand. Under the pressure of his parents, Pat spilled the beans on his abilities. This caused a lot of arguing between them about why Pat stayed quiet about his powers, are you doing drugs right now and so on. Eventually, the arguing calmed down, and they agreed to keep it a secret between themselves. The topic was never brought up again until his family received an invitation for the Supernatural College. It was a unanimous decision to send Pat there to hone his powers and make sure something worse doesn't happen to him.

Besides, other people with superpowers? Pat is fucking psyched about that!
