From the shadows you jump out at the Kilo member. He is taken by surprise and shouts as you knock him over, his voice echoing through the lab. He struggles as you try to swing your scissors at his throat, pushing your arm away. Then, he overpowers you and kicks you off of him. He gets to his feet quickly and takes out his pistol. You must act now.
You see a man walk in from the bottom door. Another Kilo team member. He shines his flashlight around the room and instantly sees the unconscious body of Delta. He swears under his breath.
Kilo: Ground base, we're a man down. Requesting backup. Base: Copy that. We're sending another team down. Do not let the subjects escape. Kilo: Bravo, return to the extraction point. Be aware the subject is hostile and dangerous.
The Kilo team is on alert now. The one here, Echo, is going to shine his light around the room to find you and the shelves will only hide you for so long. You must act now.
You search the body of the fallen Kilo team member. You find a heavy flashlight, a gas mask and his pistol.
You hear quieting footsteps upwards and when you open the door, you spot a Kilo team member in the offices. His flashlight is shining left, in the direction of the power room, and Chris.
Down from the room you are in, you hear more footsteps approaching and you see a flashlight through the downwards door! You won't be seen until the Kilo member comes into the room though.
You fake Delta's voice into the radio. They seem to buy it for now.
Kilo: All members accounted for. Bravo, continue to Power-B. Delta, regroup with me at B1. Keep your eyes peeled for the subject.
With the main threat diverted, you search the room.
You pick up some sealed jars of liquid. You can't read the labels in the dark, but they are heavy enough to really hurt someone anyways.
You also find some electric cables that could be used as ropes.
Finally, you find an electric prod, like the one you have, but it is unmodified and doesn't even have any power left in the battery.
As you search the room, you also come across the elevator! For some reason, however, the buttons do not work! You notice a few jacks and wedges nearby that the Kilo team must have used to simply force the doors open. However, opening the doors by yourself would take some time.
Before he can turn around, you bring the pole on his head. It has the force of a heavy punch and he falls to the floor with a shout. You swing again and he gets knocked out properly, but surely his teammates must have heard him?
Indeed, the radio crackles again and you hear someone calling!
Kilo: We heard shouts! Subject is definitely active! Roll call! Kilo: Bravo here.
The radio goes silent.
The room around you is larger than normal and filled with shelves with equipment and chemicals everywhere, but it's very dark. It would be easy to hide among the shelves in the dark. The doors to the left and directly down are both unlocked and open.
You unlock the door and you are met with the back of another Kilo team member. He is just reacts to the sound of the door opening behind him so you have just a moment to act before he does anything. He hasn't even seen you yet.
His radio crackles and covers up the sound of your own radio perfectly.
Kilo: Bravo moving up to Power B, position B3. Echo clearing out column A, position A2. Delta guarding the cargo lift.
As you enter the next room, you notice an acrid odour in the air. It smells sharp and slightly nauseating, like solvent and burnt plastic.
The source of the smell is a fume hood that is turned off, allowing the gaseous chemicals inside to spread. There is a test tube within that seems to be emitting the foul gas.
More lab equipment is scattered here, and gas valves are everywhere, much like the previous room. Again, cupboards line the walls with various acidic or poisonous chemicals within. There are also large grey analysis machines on some of the tables, which can be used as cover.
The way down is locked, but you have a key. You can also go left.
