She grew up with a pretty average family, though her parents tended to be a bit distant. She's close with her siblings and shared a bedroom with Beatrice until Kenneth moved out for college. Beatrice was the only one who knew about the weird stuff (aka her magic showing itself) that happened around Vi because of this. Vi always felt a little like the outsider in her group of friends. She did have a best friend who she was very close with, but this best friend moved away when Vi was ten and they drifted apart. She lived a very average life until getting her letter for Hogwarts, and she feels like her whole life has just been filler leading up to this point.

Cedar Whenever I meet one who carries a cedar wand, I find strength of character and unusual loyalty. My father, Gervaise Ollivander, used always to say, ‘you will never fool the cedar carrier,’ and I agree: the cedar wand finds its perfect home where there is perspicacity and perception. I would go further than my father, however, in saying that I have never yet met the owner of a cedar wand whom I would care to cross, especially if harm is done to those of whom they are fond. The witch or wizard who is well-matched with cedar carries the potential to be a frightening adversary, which often comes as a shock to those who have thoughtlessly challenged them.

Phoenix tail feather This is the rarest core type. Phoenix feathers are capable of the greatest range of magic, though they may take longer than either unicorn or dragon cores to reveal this. They show the most initiative, sometimes acting of their own accord, a quality that many witches and wizards dislike. Phoenix feather wands are always the pickiest when it comes to potential owners, for the creature from which they are taken is one of the most independent and detached in the world. These wands are the hardest to tame and to personalise, and their allegiance is usually hard won.

Viola is very artistic and prides herself on being mature for her age. She likes to draw, sculpt, paint, cross-stitch, and do basically any other type of art, though she’s not very good at most of them. She’s naturally loud and very unapologetic about that. She also is obsessed with magic information and has been soaking up every bit of knowledge she can on the wizarding world ever since receiving her letter. She is very good at controlling her temper and likes to think through every option before making choices. This leads to her missing out on opportunities. She’s easily distracted and usually ignores more pressing matters to focus on something that caught her interest instead.

Powers: She can more or less make people believe any lie. For example, she could convince someone that another person hates them, but she can’t convince someone that the sky is green. She can tell when someone’s lying to her, though she can’t tell if someone is unknowingly lying to her. If someone tells her something they believe to be true, even if it’s not, she can’t tell if they’re lying.

Personality: Deya likes to create trouble. Drama tends to follow her, though she typically can stay out of it. She isn’t someone you would want to trust with anything, because she will use whatever she can to stab someone in the back without a bit of remorse. She’s very interested in psychology and studies it passionately. She’s a firm believer in the saying “keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.” She doesn’t dole out information about herself under any circumstance. She’s very intelligent and naturally good at reading people. She can talk people into traps very easily and she plans on using these abilities to succeed in the business world by any means possible. She tends to become blindly loyal to the people who earn her respect and will do anything for them.

Bio: Deya grew up with her father, a corrupted business man who built an empire on deceit and lies. Half a year ago, he was caught in one of his own lies and sent to prison. Deya was moved to New Celestia, where she lives on her own. She’s having a hard time adjusting and misses her dad horribly. With no one to talk to, she’s been spending some time soul searching about if the life she leads is what she does because it makes her happy, or because it’s what both of her parents wanted from her. She’s significantly cut down on the drama she causes since arriving at New Celestia.

Appearance: Tempest is 167 cm tall and built in a very graceful way, like a ballerina. She has little to no curves and is mostly leg. Her hair reaches about the tops of her hips and is dyed a soft pastel pink. Her freckle-less skin tans easily. Her silver eyes are very round, she has a slightly roman nose, and rose bud lips. Her naturally angled eyebrows gives her a serious case of RBF and people frequently misinterpret a indifferent look from her as a glare.

Clothing style: Tempest likes to dress in a very modern witch type of way. She wears a lot of black and tends to lean towards a mix of grunge and pastel goth. She likes to make normals look at her and think "wow, she's a witch." Her fondness for t-shirts that read things such as "don't be a basic witch" and "I like my magic like my coffee: strong and black" just adds to her aesthetic.

Basic personality traits: Tempest is known mostly for having a bad temper. She is very impatient and sarcastic. She has a good sense of humor. She tends to get into trouble because she gets bored easily and often makes bad choices to assuage that boredom. She's fiercely loyal to her friends and can hold a grudge like no one's business.

Basic family life (information may be withheld): She lives with her mom, grandma, and little sister. Her family tends to be a bit strict about witch traditions, and the lack of men in the house is not an accident. Tempest is very advanced in magic for a girl her ages because her grandmother and mother teach it like a religion (which, to be fair, it kind of is). She was raised without any gender roles and believes herself to be the truest form of herself as possible, since society didn't effect how she was raised. Her mother and grandmother don't believe in consorting with men unless one intends to reproduce, and Tempest's biggest form of rebellion is dating.

Basic hobbies: She almost always has an earbud in, blasting some angry girl band. She like to draw and often totes a sketchbook. She really likes fashion and has a fairly popular Polyvore account. She also likes to hike and explore the woods around camp. She's an adrenaline junkie and tends to get up to trouble as a result.

If you're reading this, you're one of the many species of supernaturals. Whether you've known what you are your whole life or were recently turned into one, Shadow Falls' mission is to teach you how to control your powers so you can blend in more easily with the human world. Our goal is also to encourage understanding and tolerance between the different species of supernaturals. We have many activities awaiting you, and we can promise this will be a summer you'll never forget.

☽ Camp Rules ☾

1. Absolutely no fighting under any circumstances.
2. No normals allowed on camp grounds unless special permission from a counselor has been received.
3. Everyone must be in their cabin by 11 pm with no exceptions.
4. Schedules must be followed unless permission from a counselor has been received.
5. Campers must stay on camp grounds unless permission from a counselor has been received.
6. Absolutely no using powers on other campers under any circumstance.
7. No littering of any kind.
8. No pranks or hazing rituals.
9. No alcoholic drinks or drugs are allowed on camp grounds.
10. Have fun!

☽ World Lore ☾

1. Every supernatural was born at midnight.
2. Supernatural powers are hereditary, though they have been known to skip a generation on occasion.
3. Supernaturals can detect other supernaturals by reading their brain waves unless one has their brain closed up (which is called being close-minded). It's considered common courtesy to keep one's mind open.
4. For a long time, individual races have despised one another and only bred in-racially. Shadow Falls wants to change this animosity by teaching the next generation acceptance of each other.
5. Any race of supernatural is accepted.
6. Cabins are separated by gender. Odd numbers are male cabins, even are female cabins. Four to a cabin. If your character doesn't identify as male or female, put them with whichever they'd be most comfortable with.

Campers will receive a schedule each day after breakfast that is specially tailored to their species of supernatural. Breakfast is from 8:30-9:30, so make sure to show up at the mess hall sometime in that hour to see what the day holds for you!
