Finally. :) How's it look@Sep?
Sorry for taking so long. I'll have my character up later today. Been a little busy is all. ;)
@FrozenEcstasyThat sounds awesome. And yeah, I was going for a more medical character, so that works out nicely. Would it go too far to assume that our characters work together pretty frequently?
@SepI was wondering if psychiatry would be necessary on this kind of ship, considering that they're all alone in space with various existential crises and the like. It might be necessary to administer some sort of mood-changer, sedative, or antidepressant to certain people, or offer insight as to why a particular person was acting up. Could something like that be feasible?
@SepWould you mind if I joined, cap'?
@AletheiasHe didn't know that she was on. She snuck in, hence "hiding place." She's a stray, so she doesn't really have a home and follows him around. He wasn't really expecting the dog to follow him.

Location: Outside
Interacting with: No one in particular

Nate's weariness was betrayed in the bags around his eyes, and he knew the best thing to do to wind down would be to play a little guitar. Frankly, nothing calmed him down more. Something of a diffusion, if nothing else. Making sure the thing was tuned one last time, he began playing songs from memory, bits and pieces of one before randomly switching to another, humming/singing along as he watched a milky sunset fall effortlessly beneath the rippling swells. It was a beautiful place, he had to admit.

Looking back inside the kitchen, he saw that a lot of people--including the Princess--were mingling with one another, cooking and talking and laughing. He smiled and leaned back into the chair, strumming out the opening chords to some other tune before finally settling on Norwegian Wood. It was the song that he knew best, after all. He sang with his slight New Jerseyan twang, but kept on pitch if only to pay homage to the tune that brought him into the world of guitar. If only he had a partner... 'twas a beautiful duet. Ah well...

Nate glanced back and looked Calliope up and down quickly. She seemed so sweet that it was hardly against him to not TRY and talk to her. Chewing his lip, he decided against it and kept playing, unaware that a small dog--his dog--had wormed her way out of her hiding place and had made a beeline for the kitchen. The little thing was hardly bigger than a cat, but with a gusto that Nate admired she bounded into the room and yipped.

Nate chuckled and pocketed his phone before strumming out the first chords for Layla. "What do you do when you get lonely? No one waiting by your side? You've been running... hiding much too long... you know it's just your foolish mind..."Looking up at Mandie with a twinkle in his eye, Nate continued playing soft chords: "You know what a misanthrope is, darlin'? It's someone who hates people just 'cause they're people. What a crime it would be to make a mistake... or, in your eyes, to commit the sin of being somethin' like an... animal." Snapping a string against the fingerboard, Nate stood and regarded Mandie softly: "Yeah, I remember you. You're there with your friends at Carmichael's. Looked like you weren't enjoying yourself, so I thought I'd keep you amused. Weren't having it. Sorry for trying to pick up a woman. I am, after all, a straight dude." With one climactic final strum, Nate whirled around and walked out to join the others and fully introduce himself.
@KahleenCuthaldI say do it like the movies do it. You know how different scenes happen at the same time but with different people? Two people can be talking and go on for as long as they want, and other things can be happening at the same time.

Just make sure everyone's there before you advance anything with the group. It'll move more slowly then.
@DisguisedDemon
I've been noticing that some tend to post 2 or 3 times while some post once or not even got their first post up yet duo to time issues (or whatever reason, doesn't matter). Is there any rule on waiting? Or shall we just post as we like?

I also am wondering about this.
