Dustynn's response made Leo laugh loud enough to be heard over the music, he didn't expect her or anyone else to enjoy the performance as much as they did. Even so, he had fun and was already running songs through his head for his next performance. In a world filled with cheesey music there was a plethora of options to choose from. "Well I'm glad you enjoyed it," he said, his wide grin stretching from ear to ear. Before they could talk more the next performer climbed the stage and began to sing. Leo soon found Dustynn up close against him dancing with her back to him. He matched her movements as best he could, he was much more comfortable crashing into people in a mosh pit than he was dancing like a normal person.

Soon enough the music stopped and Dustynn turned him, moving in close and speaking into his ear. The single sentence gave way to her touching his chest before climbing onto the stage, much to his surprise. He expected her to be a few more drinks deep into the night before getting up to sing but he was glad to see her letting loose. When the music began she began to lose herself in the music, clearly taking some enjoyment from the more risquΓ© lyrics at the beginning of the song. She began to move in perfect harmony with the music, her raspy voice pleasing to the ears. She sang taking in the crowd in front of her, Leo and everyone else lost in her voice. Then it happened...she looked directly down at him and sung the words clear as day. She didn't blink as each word hit Leo with a sincerity that made his heart skip beats. He looked right back at her and for the briefest of moments he forgot that there was anyone else in the bar, seeing only her and her performance. As she closed her eyes once more he felt himself struggle for breath, he wanted her to look back at him more than anything at that moment.

Soon enough the song finished and she made her way off to the side. Leo turned and began to walk through the crowd towards the bar, his mind raced and his heart pounded. He didn't know how to handle the feeling that was sweeping over him, it had been such a long time before he had felt anything remotely like what he felt now. When he reached the bar he ordered a straight double of JΓ€germeister and quickly drank it in one go. It was one of the few spirits he liked, usually just sticking to beer or lager. Neither would be strong enough to calm the nerves he felt. With the JΓ€ger polished off he ordered another pint and the same for Dustynn. With drinks in hand he turned and looked for her, unable to see her amongst the sea of people on the dance floor. Turning back to the bar he spoke to the server, "Have you seen Dusty?" Slightly swamped with orders, they gestured to the toilets with their head. "Ok cool, thanks." Leo headed towards the toilet to wait for Dustynn.

At the mouth of the corridor to the toilets were a few small tables with stools, the music audibly quieter allowing for people to talk much easier. Leo took a seat and began to think over what to say when she came back. What could he say? Maybe he shouldn't say anything? For all his charm and likeability, he was absolutely useless when it came to his feelings. Before he could decide what he would do he saw Dustynn emerge from the corridor. He got off his stool and took a few steps to the side, stopping still in front of her. The gap between them was much smaller than he intended, his heart beat so hard that he was worried she would be able to feel it. He looked down at her to speak but was found lacking the words, for a moment that seemed like an eternity he stared deep into her dark eyes. Trying to break the silence he rubbed at his neck and laughed nervously. He quickly gestured to the table, "I...I got you another drink." As they moved to the table Leo muttered to himself, Leo you're an absolute tool...

The operators in the room had travelled from all over the world, some would have been on flights over twelve hours long, for Rob it was an hour long drive down the motorway. Living in Cardiff it didn't take long to get to the Hereford base and it was somewhere he was completely comfortable with, given his former regiment was stationed there. He knew a few of the Rainbow Operators personally having met with Mark "Mute" Chandar a few months prior to the briefing. A few drinks with other operators got him in a good place with those who were out, particularly Mark. However, as if often the case you can't please everyone. Rob and Gilles "Montagne" Tourè personalities clashed and both took a disliking to each other, not that it would ever affect their jobs.

With the briefing over Rob made his way to get his envelope and opened it up. He was presented with directions to where he was bunked and in bold was his codename...Ghost. It was his former codename within the Special Reconnaissance Regiment. Rainbow must have kept the former codenames of the new operators wherever possible. Making his way to his room he peered through doorways as people were being paired off. Languages and accents from around the world were clearly audible and it was quite surreal. Being in the middle of the Hereford countryside and hearing mostly non-British accents would be the last thing you would expect. Even so, these people were the best of the best and people he would need to learn to respect and understand to ensure that they all returned safe from deployments.

Rounding a corner at the end of the corridor Rob found his room at the end. He opened the door and made his way into the room, it's size surprisingly bigger than he expected. There was a bed in each far corner of the room with plenty of floorspace. There was a footlocker at the bottom of each bed, large steel cupboards against the wall and two desks with computers atop them. Moving to the bed on the left side he placed his large bag on it and opened it. He began to put his clothes into the nearest cupboard and his gear into his footlocker. With everything put away, his bag went into the bottom of the cupboard. He sat down on his bed and began to flick through the news on his phone, waiting for the arrival of who ever his new room mate was to be.

Friday nights were a great a reason to be alive, it was a time everyone who was anyone journeyed to Club Aether to enjoy what was often a rather insane but enjoyable night. Walking through the entrace Leo took a few minutes to talk to the four bouncers stood outside, each towering above the six foot one Leo. Giant teddy bears when things were quiet, if things ever kicked off they were quick to action. Fortunately they were mostly for show given how laid back people tended to be in the club. As he entered he scanned the biometric ID card all bars and clubs on The Run required. With a beep and flashing green light the gate in front of him swung open and he began to make his way down the long corridor. The walls were illumated by bright, pale purple lights in the floor every metre or so. It was a somewhat unique appearance, particularly for a metal bar, but it was something Leo's brother had designed during the bars creation.

Turning the corner at the end of the corner, Leo was presented with the usual sight of a Friday...a packed out Club Aether. People dressed in casual wear, band shirts, gothic attire and different other attire. Leo wore a black dinner suit with a long black tie, something a bit more formal than he would normally wear, but he had a reason to look his best on this particular friday. He scanned the bar and his eyes immediately caught sight of Dustynn. She was dressed in a way he had never seen before, the usual denim clad woman wore a dress and for a moment Leo had to pause. He felt a nervousness sweep over him as he looked over at her. You can't just keep staring at her all night...what if she sees you? Get over there! His inner voice was often the bossy sort but it rarely led him wrong. Listening to it he made his way over to the bar.

Leo approached stealthily and took a seat behind her, watching as she glanced around the dance floor. He raised his hand to gesture to one of his bar staff and greeted them with a smile. "Hey boss...you having the usual?" Leo nodded, "Of course. Cheers." With his order placed he returned his focus to Dustynn as she turned to see him sat there. The smile on his face did nothing to hide the fact he was happy to see her. "What do you want to drink?" Leo asked, ordering whatever it was she asked for. "I really am glad that you're here. I'm sure we are going to have a great night." The two drinks he ordered were placed down onto the bar, a hearty head sat atop his golden coloured beer. He took a large gulp from the drink, it was his first for a couple of weeks and how he had missed it. "Anyway, before we start our night out properly I need to do my usual thing...plus...I have a surprise for you." He got up from his chair and winked at Dustynn, a cheeky grin accompanying the suggestive wink. "Come with me." He took hold of her hand and carefully guided her through the dancefloor.

Gliding along the dance floor the pair reached the stage, three people already atop it making final adjustments to the various instruments. "I hope you enjoy this." The music was particularly loud on the dancefloor so Leo had to shout, still managing to keep his smile. Realising he still had a hold of Dustynn's hand he began to turn red slightly, letting it go. "Sorry." He leapt up onto the stage and looked down at her with one last grin before gesturing to the DJ booth to the right hand side of the stage. The music quietened and the dancing ceased, the attention of the bar turning to it's owner on the stage.

"How are we doing tonight Sol City?" There were cheers throughout the crowd, people raising their glasses and sporadic claps. "I see alot of the usual faces in here tonight but also some new ones. Whether you've been here before or not, welcome to Club Aether...the best place to be on a Friday night. Everyone knows we are a metal club but on a Friday it is pretty much a case of anything goes. So up until eleven we'll be having our usual open mic. If you want to showcase your skills just drop your details to the DJ over there and he'll get you added to the list. From eleven until the early hours will be when things get really good. We have our karaoke band ready for you all to get up on here and sing your hearts out!" Cheers erupted once more, the karaoke nights of Club Aether were the stuff of legend. Rather than being based off pre-recorded tracks, they had an in house band that could play pretty much anything anyone could ask for. It truly was a unique experience that only the Aether could provide. The live band along with a large crowd made for a truly enjoyable night whether singing or just partaking in the festivities. As the cheers died down Leo moved to the back of the stage and picked up an electric guitar, placing the strap over his shoulder. Moving back to the microphone, the group who had finished setting everything up took up their own instruments. "Usually at this point i'd hand over to you guys but given there are so many fresh faces tonight..." Leo looked down at Dustynn as he spoke "...I thought i'd surprise you all with a take of a cheesey nineties classic! Welcome to Club Aether!"

For a brief moment Leo got to grips with the guitar before the drummer led them into their song. Soon a familiar riff began to erupt throughout the club, almost drowned out by the cheers from the crowd. Leo played it flawlessly as it began to sing the opening lyrics. "She's into superstitions, black cats and voodoo dolls, I feel a premonition, that girl's gonna make me fall." With each word Leo's trademark smile grew wider and wider. Looking out over the crowd he could see people headbanging, dancing and even a small circle pit formed off to the side. "She's into new sensation, new kicks in the candlelight, she's got a new addiction, for every day and night." Leo look down at Dustynn, winking at her with a smile. "She'll make you take your clothes off and go dancing in the rain. She'll make you live her crazy life but she'll take away your pain, like a bullet to your brain...COME ON EVERYBODY!" The crowd erupted into song as Leo began to belt out the chorus. "Upside inside out, she's livin' la vida loca. She'll push and pull you down, livin' la vida loca. Her lips are devil red, and her skin's the color of mocha. She will wear you out, Livin' la vida loca. She's livin la vida loca!"

The rest of the song went as well as the beginning and with the final, "Livin' la vida loca!", the band played a brief outtro before bringing the song to an end. The applause and cheers were deafening, the crowd a mixture of smiles and laughs at what they had just seen. "Thank you everyone, have yourselves a great night! Thank you!" Putting the guitar back Leo then leapt off the stage in front of Dustynn. He began to laugh as he tried to speak, "So how was that for a surprise?" The few times Leo had got up on stage previously had all been to play the heaviest of heavy metal. This was the first time he had taken to the open mic night to play anything so cheesey. Suffice to say he had enjoyed it and deep down he hoped Dustynn had too.

I’ll hopefully be posting tomorrow, pretty sick today.
I’m forever lurking!
Hopefully this is ok. Any issues let me know.

--- PERSONALITY ---

Rob was close with his father growing up, the pair spending almost every day together doing various things including hunting and camping. Unfortunately a year ago his father died and Rob is still dealing with it. He does a good job of hiding it but occassionally his pain does show through by way of the occasional angry outburst or through his general loudness. When alone or with one other person he is much more capable of opening up and sharing the deep pain he actually feels. He is quite loud and boisterous which has always beem part of his personality, but it has grown since his fathers passing. He is accepted by most people in the school, whether it be the jocks, the nerds, the weird kids...he rarely has a bad word to say about anyone.

The way she said yes to his offer wasn't lost on him, he often took some abuse from people for the lingo he used. He was just too preoccupied on her accepting his offer to even retort. He wanted to stand up and celebrate as if his childhood football team had just won a cup final, but he had to control himself. He simply smiled and began to dig into the mountain of food in front of him. He dug deep to get every last bite into him and within ten minutes had left an empty plate in front of him. While they ate Dustynn had asked for a sandwich to go, something Leo thought about briefly before deciding against. There was a clatter as his knife and fork his the empty plate, Leo stretched his arms out wide to try and make himself more comfortable.

The pair were soon enough presented with the bill and Leo could see one bill arriving made Dustynn somewhat uncomfortable as she tried to get it split. He leant forward slightly and maneuvered a hand into his back pocket to remove his wallet. He opened it to reveal an assortment of various cards and a thick wad of cash. Apart from his house and car, Leo was actually quite frugal but he always made sure he had cash on hand just in case. He pulled the bill in close before throwing a couple of bank notes down ontop of it, leaving the waitress a healthy tip. "This is on me Dusty, I did invite you here after all. Besides, you get to pay me back with your singing in a couple of days." He smiled and hoped that she didn't have an issue with him covering the cost of meal. The world was changing and some women would get offended at the mere mention of a man paying for their food, it was something that he often laughed at. He and his friends would often pay for each others beers and food, it was just something that people who were close did...well for the most part. "Anyway, we should probably look at getting to the bar, i'm sure some of the regulars are waiting outside already."

Raccoon General Hospital

Anastasia was right, no matter how much he wanted to save everyone. If the assaults that had spanned the day were turning people into flesh eating monsters then it would only be a matter of time until the hospital was overrun. The screams from the reception began to spread out with hurried footsteps audible from the corridor outside the OR. Connor thought back to Hicks and from instinct hurried towards the door. After a few steps however he slowed before stopping at the door. He looked down and growled out of anger. He wanted to go and save the young police officer but he knew inside that it was already too late for him. The bite from Rico at their earlier drug bust meant that he was going to be turning into one of these things in no time.

"You're definitely right. Grab whatever you can use as a weapon and then we can get out of here." He looked back over his shoulder at the doctor. "I'm going to check the situation outside. Be quick." His voice was authorative but there was clear concern for their situation. His car was still out the front and in it he had his shotgun. Apart from being able to drive away he would feel infinitely more comfortable with the larger weapon.

With pistol in hand Connor slowly opened the door and peered out into the corridor. Blood spattered men and women ran down the corridor, some holding wounds while others simply pumped their arms to try and run as quickly as possible. At the far end of the corridor Connor could make out and outstretched arm wedged between the double doors. It shook violently for a few seconds before being yanked back through the small gap. "Ana things are getting really bad out here...are you ready?"
