I'm just working on my character now. Can I assume the role of the jester/the fool/the harlequin?

Robert waited in the recently refurbished Human Embassy, the upgrades and changes tying in with the upcoming celebrations. He sat with a couple of the other Alliance soldiers who were lucky enough to be granted permission to take part in the festivities. Each was from a different field of expertise, from pilots to researchers, to represent the sacrifices of everyone and not just soldiers during the Reaper conflict. They were all dressed in either formal civilian or formal Alliance attire however the N7โ—ข operative was instructed to wear his combat armour. It was all to do with politics but it made no difference to him, Robert had worn the armour enough times that it was a second skin to him.

The group's silence was interrupted by an Alliance soldier, "Is Commander Cadogan here?". Robert stood up and looked at the young recruit. He had clearly never seen action, instead being assigned to desk duty for the higher ups based on the Citadel. He seemed to be of a nervous disposition which would explain his assignment. "That's me lad. What's up?" The young man shook his head before lowering it, almost apologetically. "I'm sorry sir I don't mean to disturb you. You've been called to the venue. They want you there to mingle with the other guests and put on a good show for the Alliance." Robert laughed while shaking his head. He was there as a favour to his commanding officer, to be a smiling face and that was it. Now he was being dragged into was effectively a diplomatic role. He muttered under his breath, For fuck sake Nige...you owe me for this. The young soldier before him mistook his muttering as being aimed at him and made as much space for Robert to pass as he could. Robert made sure to thank the young man with a tap on the shoulder on the way out. "Cheers lad. Hope you have a better day than i'm surely going to."

After travelling through and admiring the Citadel for close to an hour Rob found himself at the Presidium. During his walk he had stopped for food before giving his commanding officer Nigel Pearce a call. Never had an Alliance soldier spoken to a superior officer using so many expletives and not found themselves in the brig. Fortunately for Robert he had a strong relationship with Nigel and they conversed like lifelong friends. Nigel was a big part of why Rob was where he was, taking an interest in him during his training when others wanted him gone. Even so, if other high ranking Alliance officers heard the way the pair conversed then things would likely turn sour for Rob quickly.

As he entered the Presidium the true multicultural nature of the Citadel was clearly on show. Humans to Turians, Volus to Asari...each of the council races were represended by hundreds of their own people. It was a perfect reflection of the unity that it took to defeat the Reapers. With helmet still in hand Robert pushed his way carefully through the crowds heading towards the large dome. To be fair, this place looks amazing for an artificial environment. The thought rang true and honest. He was a well travelled person who took the time and opportunity to marvel at the wonderful views the galaxy had to offer. Even though artificial, the beauty of the Citadel was astounding.

For a moment Robert stopped and took the time to take in the sheer number of people before realising he stood out like a sore thumb. His N7โ—ข armour with its trademark red stripe down the arm was a dead giveaway of what he was. Even without that, he was one of only a few people donning armour and he simply assumed most of them were on security duty. It was then his eyes caught sight of a sign on one of the many stalls set up in the Presidium, Naturally sourced Earth made Beer. Without hesitation he pushed his way towards it, feeling like it had been years since his last beer. In reality it had only been two weeks since his last bout of shore leave. One beer won't hurt. He hurriedly ordered his beer and took a mouthful. He savoured the taste before letting out a stereotypical gasp of satisfaction. Inadvertently he spoke his thoughts out loud, "Now that is a quality pint."

For the brief moment they'd known each other it became clear that Connor found himself agreeing with much of what the doctor was saying. To him her logic was faultless and it only helped to reaffirm the choices that they had so far made together. The idea of his car over her was the best bet, especially with the shotgun locked up in the boot. With the thought still fresh in his mind he quickly spoke."Have you ever shot a gun before?" Both being armed was far better than relying on one of them. Before the doctor could answer however, she let out a high pitched scream as the cart impacted one of the undead. The cart connected with a sickening thud with an audible cracking of bones from the walking corpse. With itself hanging over the front of the cart, it began to claw it's way towards the pair.

Connor drew his gun and raised it towards the creatures head, but sudden swerves by Ana caused the shots to miss as he was swung from side to side. Without a second thought he grabbed the wheel with his free hand and quickly unleashed the a round the forehead of the zombie. It fell lifeless onto the cart before it was dragged underneath it, jolting the cart and it's passengers into the air. For a brief moment the cart kicked up onto two wheels but luckily for the pair gravity brought it back down to all for.

"Stop!" The order was more forceful that intended from Connor as they pulled up a few metres from his car. He hit the fob on key and the lights flashed to indicate the unlocking of the vehicle. "We need to hurry up and get in there." As he left the cart Connor looked from the hospital towards the rest of the city. From behind the buildings in front there were several thick plumes of black smoke rising into the sky. The sounds of sirens blaring echoed from all around the city. This really isn't good...

I'm just catching up on another RP and then i'll be posting here.
@Jaredthefox92 unfortunately not my friend. I'll edit the original post, but when I said almost anything I meant as a human. Sorry.
So what Iโ€™m looking at is an slice of life RP based in the world of Pokemon. You can be a trainer, gym leader, scientist, researcher, explorer...whatever you can think of (within reason of course lol).

Iโ€™m not concerned on numbers whether itโ€™s me and one other person or fifty other people. I just want a living world where people can explore the world of Pokemon.

So anyway, a few tidbits to be aware of about this version of the world:

-Based 40 years after the initial series
-Itโ€™ll be based in Kanto but there will be the opportunity for travel later on
-You donโ€™t have to be a trainer if you donโ€™t want to be
-There wonโ€™t be any true legendary or mythical Pokemon available for capture apart from special events
-For those that want to battle you can feel free to RP it or use Showdown
-You'll be playing as humans, unfortunately not Pokemon playable characters.

Leo had been in the club for a couple of hours, he had a mountain of paperwork to get through given his club manager was on holiday. It was a slap to the face from reality that not everything in life was fun and games. The saving grace was the comforts his office provided, being more like a second home than a place of work. Music was erupting from the speakers with soft drinks on tap makign it a much more pleasant experience than it should have been. The time flew by and eventually he signed his name one last time. He leant back sharply on his chair and stretched his arms out as wide as he could until he could feel each muscle in them stretch. As he returned to a normal posture he looked down at his watch and noticed the time, his interviewee was due any moment. He lifted his suit jacket from the back of his chair and put it back on. Before heading down towards the bar he pulled his phone from his pocket and began to type away at his phone.

Hey Dusty. You up to anything exciting today? I've got that interviewee today so hopefully we'll have an extra set of hands to help out behind the bar soon. I still feel shitty about the other night. How about we do something in a couple of days to make up for it? Leo x

There were small areas of activity in the mostly empty club, the cleaners were hard at work making sure tables were spotless. A couple of the more trusted bar staff were doing a stock take and Steve was plonked down at on a stool at the bar. He spotted Leo's approach and stood up with a smile on his face. "Hey boss. I'm sorry about the other night, can't account for crazy women." Leo smiled at his long time friend and reached up to give him a reassuring pat on the shoulder. "Honestly mate it's fine. We probably just need to have more of a presence inside. If we double our interior numbers then we'll be able to stop any future incidents from getting as mental as they did yesterday." Steve nodded in agreement. "If you know any good lads looking for door work just send them my way." The man mountain smiled at his boss before responsiding. "I have just the guys. The three of them have just been laid off from a warehouse in Southside so could start as soon as you need them." Something in the corner of Leo's eye caught his attention, a young man had entered the club presumably the guy he had to interview. "Ok great. Tell them to pop down tomorrow morning and we'll see if we can get them set up. Anyway mate, got an interview to sort out. I'll see you later." Leo patted Steve on the shoulder once more as he turned and made his way towards the young man, Steve responding with a nod and a smile as he turned his attention to his phone.

Leo didn't like to take on the inexperienced because it involved a lot of training and his bar staff, particularly on weekends, are non-stop from start to finish because of how popular the place is. The sheer number of regulars alone is enough to make the most experienced bar tender sweat. Even so, Leo could tell from the message that the guy was desperate for work and it did help that he was a metal fan. It really wasn't a place that someone could last in the long term if they had a distaste towards the music genre. The best part about the bar was the rate of pay, while not astronomical, you'd be hard pressed to find a better paying base salary for barwork in the country. Reliance on tips wasn't a thing for his staff and that had meant that he had built a solid core of staff who had been with him since the clubs inception. Tips were still a thing but it was all gravy for them.

Approaching the interviewee Leo reached his arm out with a welcoming smile. "Hey there. You must be Marcus, I'm Leo. Look, we could go do a full on formal interview but I much prefer to get to know my guys and understand who they are. So if you're ok with that, how about we go to the bar and get a drink? Don't worry this isn't going to devolve into a free for all drinking sesh, just the one to help take the edge off cause I know interviews can be pretty uncomfortable. Don't feel like you have to hand a drink mind, it isn't some sort of test." Leo laughed and then awaited Marcus' response.
@Sifter My military training is limited to what I actually do when playing R6 or Arma III
So I thought i'd post. Hopefully it's ok. If it's not let me know and I can edit.
