The sound of Dr Moss pacing back and fore was the first thing Korvus heard when he awoke. While for all intents and purposes he was a robot, the way he was designed meant that he had to sleep like the majority of biological life forms. The rest allowed his core to fully recharge which was always important after a big fight. The day prior he had been on the other side of the world helping to stop an armed siege that had lasted for three days.
"Doctor? Why are you agitated?" Korvus spoke in a way that hid his true nature, another master stroke of Dr Moss' genius. If you didn't know he was an android then you would swear he was a human, such was the convincing nature of the doctors work. Hearing Korvus' voice Dr Moss stopped in his tracks, his head snapping towards Korvus.
"Ah Korvus...you're awake." The doctor scurried to the bed and began to hurry Korvus from his bed. "You must hurry. There are reports of a battle on the outskirts of the city. Details are scarce but the power some of these fighters are showing could be a cause for concern if their intentions are impure. You need to get out there now and discern the nature of the fighters and do whatever necessary to protect the city."
Korvus immediately elevated himself into the air and moved towards the door without so much as a goodbye. Leaving his bedroom he emerged in a fairly large hall that acted as a training area. It was here that he honed his skills and techniques utilising his fathers technical prowess. Robots created and programmed in the every known martial art, projectile firing drones and various other pieces of kit had served Korvus well to get him where he was currently in terms of his skill. Even so, the technology could never compare to actual battle and to think otherwise would be naive.
On the back wall of the hall rested his attire that he was most known for. It allowed for free flowing movement and the weighted nature of the robe meant that he was always training, even against weaker foe. It took a few seconds for him to get changed before Dr Moss appeared. "The fighters are on the outskirts of the city opposite our location." Korvus turned to the doctor and nodded. The air around his body began to distort and bend, cracks seemingly forming in reality itself. Then in a blink of an eye Korvus was gone.
He reappeared close to the battlefield, just in time to see what looked like a large bull barrel into the ground. The light show that followed was pretty for sure but whoever was on the end of it was surely dead. Korvus made his way closer to see several people all peering into the crater. It became clear quickly that they had been working together to defeat whatever had been in the strangely shaped crater. Korvus landed and approached it, seeing a large, mountain of a man peering into it. He scratched at his head and looked at the others who had clearly been in a dangerous fight before speaking.
"I guess I am late..." Korvus paused for a moment before continuing, trying to gauge the people around him. "...can anyone tell me what happened?"
Location: Table in the Ballroom Tags: Anyone listening Leo listened intently as people took it in turns to introduce themselves to the group. With beer in hands, one of the few luxuries he was allowed with the rugby season over, he smiled as he started to learn the names of those he'd be getting to know. Things got off to a rather strange start however. With her pretty smile and looks that would turn the heads of most men, Noemi introduced herself to the group. All seemed normal until she announced her profession. Leo did well to keep his mouthful of beer in his mouth, swallowing it before spraying everyone around the table. It wasn't disgust or anything remotely like that, it was just the shock that she was a mortician. From his limited experience of morticians they were old and rather creepy men.
The rest of the group began to introduce themselves around the table: Barbara the cashier with dreams of photography; Gaia the archivist; Yvonne the teacher and self pro-claimed failed artist; Naoko a choreographer and dancer who had danced in a video of someone he had never heard of and then at the end was Lee the actor. A wide range of people and occupations, some more fanciful than others, but none any less important than others. Everyone had their place and here they all had a chance at happiness.
Next it was Leo's turn and the rugby players decided to stand. Pulling the jacket of his suit straight, he smiled as he spoke. "Hey everyone. It's a pleasure to meet you all." Making sure to make eye contact with everyone he turned as he spoke, trying to be as positive and upbeat in his tone as he could. "My names Leo Moriarty. I come from the lovely little country known as Wales and i'm a professional rugby player." His Welsh accent was thick and probably quite exotic in this part of the world. Although there is likely no record anywhere of someone calling the Welsh accent exotic. Leo picked up his beer from the table and raised it to everyone. "I look forward to getting to know you all...cheers."
Leo sat down before taking a drink and wiping the foam from his upper lip. His smile soon returned as he began to listen once more as the introductions continued.
Special Forces Group Special Reconnaissance Regiment
Appearance
Standing at 6'1" with a fairly muscular frame Sully is a fairly imposing figure. He has pale blue eyes, mid-length black hair and a short beard. He likes to wear a suit in his private life, finding them comfortable. In urban operations he tends to wear dark camouflage fatiques but will adjust to fit the environment he is in.
Ghost is the kind of person who asks no questions when a friend needs help, running to their aid as soon as he possibly can. This applies in day to day life and on the battlefield. There have been instances in his service history where he has thrown caution to the wind to try and retrieve wounded comrades. It is not that he doesn't care for his safety, he just truly believes in the brothers in arms mentality. He builds strong attachments to those he regularly serves with viewing them as brothers and sisters.
He has a switch in his brain that allows him to instantly go from Joe public to special forces operator in an instant. This has been shown throughout his career, particularly during the terrorist incident in London when he was off duty. He went from enjoying a meal with friends to taking down two of the terrorists in the space of ten seconds.
In terms of trauma as a result of his time in service, he doesn't suffer flashbacks or suffer any form of night terrors. The only real smudge on his profile is that he still doesn't forgive himself for the death of Sergeant Hicks during his first deployment. He can occassionally get emotional about it when he is watching a particularly emotional war film or when heavily inebriated.
Using wireless hacking hardware and an advanced AI, Ghost is able to automatically hack directly into enemy cameras and drones. Any camera or drone not registed on the R7 equipment network within a ten metre radius will cease to work providing nothing but static in both visuals and audio. Once outside of range, the cameras and drones will work as normal once more.
Biography From a young age Rob wanted to carry on the family tradition of joining the Paras. His grandfather, father, uncle and older brother had all be part of the regiment and he wanted to continue that on. The military had always been a big part of his life from a young age as his family followed his father around the world through various deployments. Some time in Germany and Canada was followed by domestic life in their home village of Ynysddu. During that time his father was serving oversea in the war on Terror and was unfortunately killed by an IED. The years that followed were difficult, particularly for Rob's mother as they all tried to deal with the death of his father. This did nothing but harden Robert's resolve to become a soldier in Her Majesty's Armed Forces.
At the age of eighteen Rob was accepted into the Parachute Regiment following in the footsteps of the the men in his family. It wasn't until his second year in the regiment that he saw combat. He and his platoon were sent to the Middle East to fight against the continued threat of militants and had some great successes against them. Unfortunately it was during this time something happened to Rob that he still carries with him. While on patrol his squad were ambushed by a significantly larger force of militants and initial spray of bullets he caught a bullet to the leg. He was left in a small ditch that did nothing to hide his position from the approaching militants. His sergeant, Michael Hicks ran across the open terrain under heavy cover fire provided by the rest of their squad. With a few metres to cover Hick took a bullet to the rib but he pushed on until the pair were in cover. He collapsed to the floor moments later and attempts to revive him were unsuccessful. Rob blames himself for the death of Sergeant Hicks and will not be told otherwise. He spoke at his funeral and promised to show the same bravery and courage to save his fellow soldiers in the future.
After his recovery was finished he returned to active duty a different soldier. He was steeled and determined, fighting the enemy with a ruthless efficiency that eventually caught the notice of one of the British special forces regiments, the Special Reconnaissance Regiment. He undertook their training and was eventually given the emerald grey beret assosciated with the regiment. In the years that followed he was sent around the world on undercover operations, dealing with terrorist organisations of different backgrounds. His regiment saw to the capture of several high profile Islamist militant group leaders as well the destruction of a well known South American drug cartel. Beyond his accomplishments in the field, he developed skills in electronics and computers. He had a natural talent for these fields and used them to assist in missions throughout his career.
During some downtime in the British capital during a warm summer day, Rob was with some friends enjoying a meal outside on Oxford Street when a van was driven into a nearby restaurent. Seeing the event unfold he picked up his steak knife from the table and rushed across the street. He waited several moments, expecting the van to explode but it never came. From the van emerged three men wielding large kitchen knives who began to charge any civilian they could see. By time he closed the gap to the nearest attacker he saw a young woman drop to the floor lifeless. Catching the man by surprise Rob gripped the man by the neck and stabbed him three times in the heart before leaving him to hit the floor dead.
He picked up his knife and made towards the next attacker who was chasing an older gentleman towards him. As the older man passed, Rob took a stand and began to avoid the incoming knife thrusts of the attacker. He deflected the attackers arm on his third flailing thrust, leaving the terrorist open. Rob drove his knife straight into the mans throat, tugging hard to the side to cause as much damage as he could. The man dropped his own knife, clutching at his throat with blood filled gargles as he bled out on the floor.
Looking for the third man Rob spotted him trying to get to to a nearby restaurent. The now lone attacker was soon dodging chairs and tables as the guests at the restaunt began to throw whatever the could at him. From the other side of the road the same was happening and then with an almight thud someone connected with a brick to the side of the mans head, knocking him unconscious. With knife still in hand Rob sprinted over to him and restrained him as the sounds of sirens filled the air.
A further few years serving with the Special Reconnaissance Regiment went by without issue, that was until Rainbow reactivated. He was called to his regimental HQ in Hereford that is shared with the Special Air Service and was personally greeted by Mark "Mute" Chandar. Mark had read through the profiles of all currently serving SAS, SBS and SRR operators and was granted permission by Rainbow to personally handpick a group to take part in selection. One of these people was Rob.

WRITTEN APPEARANCE Korvus' entire physical appearance has been designed after the late son of Dr Moss. He looks and even feels human due to the extensive work Dr Moss put into creating him. His attire rarely changes with Dr Moss providing multiple versions of Korvus' favourite outfits. Black loose fitting trousers, a tight fitting black long sleep top and a purple sleeveless robe make up the main bulk of his clothes. He will only discard his robe in battle if he thinks his opponent is particularly dangerous.
PERSONALITY Since his creation Korvus has been fascinated by life and living things. He can happily spend days at a time wandering the vast forests of the world to take in everything that nature has to offer. That being said he is very sociable and enjoy the company of others whether they are human or alien in nature. Beyond this basic love of life he enjoys pushing his limits much to the chargrin of Dr Moss.
Even though he has only been active for three years his mental age is far past even his appearance. He has truly remarkable intellect and is very intelligent. However he can be occassionally naive with things or certain social norms that he may not be familiar with. That doesn't take away from his good hearted nature and want to help people live their best, and safest, lives.
His biggest dislike has grown to be the bad element of human society, those who think it's ok to do whatever they want to others without repurcussion. One would be forgiven for thinking that Dr Moss programmed that into Korvus but in reality it is something the android has developed himself since his activation. While life is precious to him, he has no qualms about taking it away from the truly evil.
When it comes to fighting those who would see the world crumble, his open and friendly personality disappears to leave a calculating and ruthlessly efficient intent. Korvus continually assesses his opponent for any signs of weakness and the second he discovers it, goes after it with total accuracy. The longer a battle goes on, the more it swings in the androids favour.
His goals in life are quite simple. While he is still running he wants to protect the people deserving of protection from whatever threat may present itself. While he understands the concept of death it doesn't affect him in the way that many human's are affected. That being said, he does have an understanding of his limits.
BACKGROUND Dr Edward Moss created his first working robot aged six and as he grew older became one of the foremost experts in creating artificial intelligence. He eventually married and had a son that he and his wife named Korvus. Together they raised their son in the comforts that Dr Moss could provide from his wealth. Not long after Korvus' twenty fifth birthday however, everything changed. At his local convenience store Korvus attempted to stop a robbery but was stabbed in the chest for his trouble. The young man bled out before paramedics could arrive.
Dr Moss and his wife were devastated by the news of their sons murder. After a few months had passed and Dr Moss felt as if he could move on, he locked himself away. Months rolled by without so much as a word to the outside world. His wife was the only one who saw him during all that time but even she was unaware of his secret project. A full eighteen months after he locked himself away Dr Moss emerged with a new creation...Korvus.
With his son long since dead and his murderer still not caught, Dr Moss decided to bring his son back to life in the only way he could. The android he named after his son looked and even sounded like his son but that is where the similarities ended. Where his son had been no stronger than any other normal human, the android was capable of great strength. He was to be an avenging angel, the judge of evil in the world. The image of Dr Moss' son would be what criminals see before either finding themselves in jail.
When the android was activated at first Dr Moss weapt for hours. The android simply observed without so much as a word. When the doctor finally stopped the android asked why the doctor cried. The two spoke non-stop for hours afterwards, the doctor explaining to the android the way of the world. In the days that followed the android began to research humanity and it's history. It's capacity for learning meant that reading something once would be enough to remember it.
The android finally emerged from it's research upset by what it had seen. For all of the beautiful things that humanity and the planet had to offer, there were horrors that took away from it. The almost childlike nature of the android could immediately tell the difference between right and wrong without any guidance or input from anyone else. Without Dr Moss saying a word, the android told him he wanted to help keep the world safe from the evil he had seen in his research.
Initially Korvus was responsible for bringing petty criminals to justice but it became apparent to Dr Moss that the android was far more powerful than he could have imagined. Only expecting a slightly larger level of strength than a standard human, Korvus displayed great feats of strength, a capability to fly and even the ability to project blasts of energy like the famed defenders of Earth. Korvus had far surpassed Dr Moss' expectations and the doctor could not figure out how, that was until he examined the infinite energy core.
The principle behind the infinite energy core was that as long as even a single atom remained within it, it would be able to regenerate it's energy therefore providing an infinite source. However the technology was not his but was something he stole from his best friend, Dr Hans Lehman. He used the core to power the android and it was the only thing he could imagine would provide such grand side effects. Taking time away from the vigilantism, Dr Moss and the android Korvus moved into the vast wilderness to test his power. The level of strength, speed and overall energy Dr Moss witnessed meant that the vigilantism was going to take it up several notches.
A few months later there was an invasion of a small town by an army of militants trying to establish a home based. With a small force numbering twenty the militants, also known as Argus' Army, took the entire town hostage. They threatened to kill all the townsfolk if they were not recognised as an independent state. Dr Moss dispatched Korvus to the situation and the twenty armed men found themselves on the receiving end of a beating the likes of which they could never have managed. Even with the support of some armoured vehicles they weren't safe from Korvus. This was the first time video footage of Korvus was captured and it was shared widely. While it was blurry there was one other person other than Dr Moss who knew who it was...his wife. The two argued for hours over Dr Moss' decision to create an android of their dead son before finally, she left. Since that day the two haven't spoken and the chances of them ever speaking are non-existent.
Since then Korvus has continued to fight against crime and more importantly tried to fit into the world around him.

β’ Judgement Cannon [Offensive] Korvus charges a ball of energy into the palm of his hand. Rather than allowing the ball to grow he focusses the energy creating a a highly concentrated collection of energy. As energy begins to seep through his fingers he throws the ball with an almighty force. The baseball sized energy ball explodes with great force on impact causing heavy damage to anyone assuming it is just a standard energy blast.
β’ Judgement Fist [Offensive] Korvus covers his fist in ball of formed energy and charges at opponent at high speed. With maximum effort he thrusts his hand at his opponents body, their weak spot if he has found one, to inflict heavy explosive damage on impact.
β’ Judgement Wave [Offensive] His trademark move that he will often utilise to finish an opponent. Bending his arms at his side, Korvus starts to form energy around them. Bolts of electricty begin to arc from his body to the floor. Then when he has enough power charged he thrusts his arms forward unleashing a massive beam of energy.
β’ Energy Shield [Defensive] Korvus is capable of projecting a very strong energy orb around himself that is capable of blocking moderate to heavy damage. The ability takes a toll on his energy core and can cause it to overheat. As a result he only ever utilises it at most three times in a fight or risks draining all of his energy..
β’ Warp [Utility] The infinite energy core is a wonderous piece of technology but Dr Moss has never truly opened up about what it actually is. One of the side affects that Korvus has discovered is the ability to teleport vast distances within a couple of seconds. While this can be used to evade attacks, it isn't efficient due to the time to activate. This is limited to places heβs been before.
@Holy Soldier I was thinking likely yes but if he is able to lock onto someone sufficiently powerful then maybe he could get to their location. If you want it only places heβs been to then I can roll with that.
@Holy Soldier I did away with the energy core ability, just seemed pointless the more i thought of it. If you want anything changed/added/removed then just let me know.
